Chapter 1323: Selecting the Candidate(10)

To calm his heart down, Philly decided to buy another skill. Since purchasing King level skills was an extremely difficult task, considering his financial stability, he decided to go for lower level skills.

Phily then reached for the expert level shelf, and when he pulled his hand out, there was a skill card in his hand. As luck would have it, he got a suitable skill on his first attempt, and at that time, he summoned a fire element skill.

[Name: Relentless Shield

Type: Defense

Level: Expert

Cultivation Level: Early to Peak True God

Effect: Summons an impenetrable shield of hot flames that guards against all assaults

Description: The user taps into the relentless essence of fire to summon an impenetrable shield of searing flames, offering unparalleled defense against all forms of harm. The barrierʼs flames neutralize and consume attacks, rendering both physical and elemental assaults ineffective against its fiery defenses.

It needs continuous focus and enormous energy reserves.

Price: Four hundred ninety-nine supreme Sacred stones.]

Phily read the details on the card with incredible focus. Even though the skill cost half of [Zephyr Veil] despite being a level lower, Phily found the [Relentless Shield] to be better than the former. In addition to its ability, the skill also had no side effects other than requiring focus and huge energy reserves, which was nothing to worry about.

What made Phily feel even better was that his heartbeat was slowing down. It was still faster than standard, but it was to be expected. After all, he had seen a terrible omen representing the end of his Kingdom. He believed that things would return to normal over time.

It was an immediate decision for Phily, and he chose to buy the skill card. Phily wanted to spare his wealth, so he immediately left the counter and walked toward the pillar, not wanting to have the urge to buy other types of skills.

Experiencing the skill cost one percent of the skillʼs price, so Phily didnʼt immediately decide on whether to go for the next step.

Phily wasnʼt that poor to worry about several hundred higher Sacred stones, but since things were dynamic and anything could happen anytime, Phily wanted to be cautious before spending any penny.

Phily also had the purchase of the beast left, and it would cost him a lot. After a long pause, Phily decided to experience the two skills.

What he wanted was to see his compatibility with the two skills and check how much time it would take for him to master the two skills.

Thinking like that, Phily joined the long queue in front of the semi-pillar. After a wait of several minutes, it was finally his turn.

Phily first placed the [Zephyr Veil] skill card and the next moment, he found himself in a different environment, ready to experience the skill.

Only a second had passed in the store when Philyʼs consciousness returned to him. What he saw there impressed Phily, but he immediately focused on the screen, wanting to see his training time.

The store didnʼt make Phily wait for a long time, and immediately the screen lit up and content appeared on it.

[Skill: Zephyr Veil

Level: Master

Cultivator: Early to Peak Lesser God

Compatibility: 78%

Training Time: Two Years

Phyl was surprised to find out his high compatibility with the skill, and it also allowed him to train for only two years and master the skill thoroughly. The result didnʼt disappoint Phily; instead, it was a bonus.

Even though Phily was a dual-element user, his connection with fire was several times greater than his affinity with the wind element. Philyʼs talent was the greatest in the Glawkas race, but in the Sacred Dimension, it was nothing.

So having a compatibility of more than seventy percent was already a rare talent across the Multiverse, not only in the Sacred Dimension, whereas Philyʼs compatibility was only short of two percent of eighty percent, which would have made him one of the top talented wind element users, only below the heaven-chosen ones.

So despite such a high percentage of compatibility, why did Phily not become a prominent figure? He was someone who had lived for several million years. Someone with that talent should at least be a Supreme God after living that long.

The truth was that Phily was never that much talented. What caused his talent to explode was the dream he saw that day.

Aakeshʼs authority wasnʼt high enough to know how the store chose whom to reveal itself to in dreams or other ways. But if Aakesh had enough authority and could ask Aakesh, the system would tell him that it was not that the system chose him by a pattern, but what happened was that Phily chose the store, and the store revealed itself.

And why was the system forced to reveal itself to Phily? That had to do with the dream. Phily didnʼt even know a small percent of what was revealed to him in that dream. It wasnʼt just a tragedy and then evolution.

If he knew what happened, he would simply explode because of the value of the knowledge he would gather by simply following the scenes. So to survive, his body instinctively acted and closed his subconscious mind, making him unable to know what was happening.

But just being able to receive that dream enhanced his talent to an extent where he could match the top talents of the dimension. As Phily made himself slowly aware of the dream, his strength, and knowledge would grow.

If Aakesh knew the truth, he would take Phily seriously since only top creatures could do what happened with Phily, and his destiny had taken a new height. As for why it happened and only happened to Phily, it was up to Phily to find the reason, as he would slowly become aware of the real situation.

Phily then stopped thinking about compatibility and placed the second skill card.

When his experience session was complete and he returned to the store, he looked at the screen. What he saw next on the screen made his jaw drop in shock.
