Chapter 1303: The Chosen Skill(21)

Elia read the details on the card. She had chosen the element of darkness after the element of hate. Elia had seen during the activation of the [Malevolent Desolation] that when it was activated, a wave of darkness emerged from her. She could infer that there was a relationship between darkness and hate.

Elia liked what she read on the card, so she followed the familiar routine of joining the queue in front of the semi-pillar.

When it was finally her turn, she placed the skill card in the card compartment, and the next moment, she found herself in a different environment.

She was in the middle of a battle arena while the sun was at its peak in the sky. The day was as bright as it could get. The opponent in front of her seemed to revel in the sunlight, as could be seen from the growing energy of the opponent.

Eliaʼs consciousness was as emotionless as ever, and she waited for the body to activate the skill. The wait didnʼt last very long, and the body acted.

The next moment, a cloak appeared around her body, covering every inch. Following that, a wave of darkness began to emerge from the cloak. At first, it was extremely thin, but in no time, it had covered the range of tens of meters around him, and it was only growing over time.

Wherever the darkness passed through, the light was devoured from existence. Even if Elia were to stop the skill, those areas wouldnʼt see any light.

The skill contained the devouring attribute of the darkness, so it consumed light and spread around the battle arena.

The next moment, the entire battle arena was consumed by the wave of darkness, while Elia stood at the center of it with an unfazed reaction.

Her opponent had a panicky face since the sun was still there and emanating light, but nothing could reach it. It couldnʼt even sense if its fingers were there.

The darkness was slowly consuming the opponent as well. It tried to defend against the darkness, but its efforts were of no avail. Nothing seemed to matter in front of the darkness, and it got devoured.

The skill was quick and instant, so it all happened so quickly that the opponent couldnʼt even attack.

Soon, everything came to a standstill, and Elia stopped the skill. The next moment, the cloak shrouding her body faded, but the entire battle arena was still dark since the sunlight couldnʼt peer through the all-consuming effect left by the darkness.

Even when the skill was active, Elia could see things clearly. She saw the shriveled corpse of her opponent in the arena since its vitality was entirely consumed. At the same time, Elia felt nothing negative since the skill had no side effects, and its energy consumption wasnʼt that high either.

The next moment, a white light surrounded her. The all-consuming effect lingering in the area attacked at once to devour the light, but in front of that brilliance, the lingering energy was exhausted, and light finally returned to the arena. But Elia had long left the arena, so she wasnʼt there to see it. A wave of silence had engulfed the entire area.

Her compatibility with the [Abyssal Eclipse] was also as high as Elia had expected, but it was still shorter than what she had with the [Malevolent Desolation]. A decision seemed to have begun to form in her head, but before it could be engraved, Elia decided to make another attempt.

It was her last attempt to experience a skill card, and for that, she chose the element of death.

When she returned to the counter, she reached for the last shelf in the bottom row and pulled her hand out.

The first attempt didnʼt pull out the desired skill, so Elia attempted once again. Her luck was good, so she found the skill in only her second attempt.

After finding the skill, Elia immediately joined the queue for the semi-pillar. Once it was her turn, she did the familiar routine and soon found her consciousness in a different environment.

She found herself on a battlefield with numerous enemies charging at her. Her body acted and activated the skill. The next moment, she was enveloped in spectral darkness. As the aura of death radiated from the darkness, it attacked the minds of the enemies.

It instilled dread and despair into the hearts of the enemies and caused them to fall to the ground one by one. It was not only a spiritual attack but a physical one as well.

The darkness invaded every being in the range of the skill and cut their vitality connection. It was an instant and peaceful death for the creature.

In only a few moments, the numerous enemies who were roaring to attack had turned into corpses littered across the battlefield.

It was the shortest experience session but the one that caused the most deaths. When Eliaʼs consciousness returned to the store, she immediately looked at the screen.
