The First Store System

Chapter 1304: The Chosen Skill(22)

If Elia had a choice, she would have bought all four skills on the list, but unfortunately for her, she could only buy one skill of the attacking type at Godʼs level.

The skill [Malevolent Desolation] had the highest compatibility with her, so it shouldnʼt have been a choice list, and a decision would have been made, but she really liked the skill belonging to the Death element as well.

Sigh!

Elia sighed and decided to go with [Malevolent Desolation] in the end since she wanted the best for her to battle. As for the [Requiem Annihilation], she would buy it once she stepped into the Lesser God level.

Since Elia had come that far, she wasnʼt going to buy only one skill for herself. She then reached out for the Emperor level shelf, thinking of the element of strength.

Time flew by, and Elia had bought three skills, including the God level [Malevolent Desolation]. She had no interest in defensive or other types of skills, so she turned around and walked toward the roomʼs exit.

When she stepped out of the room, she noticed a small line of customers in front of Aakesh. It shouldnʼt be a rare sight to see customers in a store, but Elia suddenly had a violent reaction.

Her eyes trembled violently in rage. She was about to pounce, but a sense of sudden life-threatening danger she had never felt before rang in her heart, stopping her from taking the rash decision.

The customer talking to the store owner at that moment was none other than the guy who caused all the tragedies in her life. It was the same guy, because of whom she is still alive. If not for her hatred for the man, she wouldnʼt have been able to bear all the pain.

The next moment, a panicky expression appeared on her face. If the guy was related to the store owner or the store in some way, wouldnʼt her revenge be incomplete?

The store gave her a way to grow strong to complete her revenge. If that same store gave patronage to the guy she wanted to kill, wouldnʼt it be an idiotic thought?

ʼNo, it canʼt be! The coin told me I will be able to complete my revenge with the help of the store.ʼ The next moment, Elia thought, shaking the uneasiness in her heart. Everything was happening because of the coin, and she fully trusted it.

She then controlled her rage, but her eyes still couldnʼt hide the hatred she had in her heart for the man.

Aakesh also noticed the sudden aura of rage, but fortunately for Elia, she listened to herself and didnʼt attempt any stupid things.

It wasnʼt difficult for Aakesh to know the reason behind Eliaʼs sudden reaction. When he was learning about the races, he also heard about the massacre of Eliaʼs race since it had happened thousands of years before he opened his eyes in the Primal Dimension.

Aakesh didnʼt care about the hatred between Elia and the man. It was their personal situation, and he wasnʼt going to intervene.

”You need to pay…” Aakesh told the man in front of him. The man was unaware that his enemy was in the store at the same time and would be his end in the future.

The man smilingly nodded and paid for the pills he had brought. The man then asked about the beast, and once he had gotten all his answers, he thanked Aakesh and walked toward the room.

Time flew by, and Elia reached Aakesh.

”Store owner, please complete the purchase,” Elia asked, passing the three skill cards to him.

Aakesh nodded and took the card from her hand. As he looked at the card, the sale detail appeared in his head.

Elia had experienced many cards creating extra income for the store, so Aakesh smiled inwardly.

”You need to pay twenty-three thousand… Sacred stones,” Aakesh expressionlessly informed Elia.

Elia nodded, and the next moment, the required amount disappeared from the high wealth stored in her card. It wasnʼt even worth a drop in the ocean.

”The skill cards are yours…” Aakesh informed Elia and then explained the process of absorbing the information stored on the card.

Elia didnʼt waste a moment and immediately put the [Malevolent Desolation] skill card near the area between her brows. The next moment, a huge influx of memory occurred while the card slowly faded.

She still didnʼt leave Aakesh after she had absorbed the information inside all three skill cards, but she stood there hesitating whether to ask the question in her mind.

In the end, she finally made up her mind and decided to ask the question.

”Store owner, will you help the man in case of our conflict?” She was still as emotionless as ever, but there were turbulent waves of tension rising in her heart.

She had complete confidence in the coin but couldnʼt leave things to fate. Fate only favored those who were willing to work for it.

”The store doesnʼt care for the personal lives of its customers as long as they remain outside the store,” Aakesh stated.

Elia walked toward the cultivation arts room after getting her answers. Her eyes were still as emotionless as they were before she entered the store, but there was a hint of glow that wasnʼt there.

She came from a race where the highest cultivation level reached by a cultivator was Lesser God, and once the deaths happened, the cultivation art above True God was lost.

It was even more necessary than skills for Elia. As she stepped inside the room, the murals across the walls welcomed her sight.

She also saw the three counters placed in the room. According to what she learned from the store owner, the number of cultivation arts in the store was endless, and they were better than the ones circulating in public.

Elia could vanquish her cultivation and start from zero, but her heart was dead set against it. She knew she needed to choose the best cultivation art for her so as to enhance her growth, so she had no consideration for whether the art was the one her race used or not. But when it came to her cultivation levels, she considered it to be a connection to her race.

Since Elia had already chosen to go that way, she would work for it. She was a True God level cultivator, so the best way for her would be to buy the King grade cultivation art.

Elia instead went to the counter for the Higher level cultivation arts. She reasoned that she wanted to step into the True God level using a new cultivation art so her body would be used to it when she attempted to break through to the Lesser God.

It wasnʼt an easy task since her body followed a different energy pattern at the Divine Lord level than what it would follow at the True God level due to a new cultivation art from the store.

There was a reason that Divine Lord and True God level cultivators were categorized into a single level for grades.

Even though at the Divine Lord level, the cultivatorʼs inner world became stable, the world would be devoid of any energy, so any life, if born, would be ordinary. But at the True God level, the world starts to have energy, so cultivators start to rise in the inner world.

When a cultivator steps into the Lesser God level, the energy in the inner world gets enhanced, and there are varieties of them. The number of energies could be limited to one as well. But not many cultivators attempted that since limiting energy in the world to a single type of energy would limit the growth of the inhabitants of the inner world.

Elia didnʼt care about the growth of the beings in the inner world. What she wanted was to absorb everything for herself, not for the inhabitants of the inner world.

Since Elia had made her decision, she walked to the counter for the higher level. She then reached into the shelf, hoping to get a top-quality cultivation art.

When she pulled her hand out, there was a page in her hand. She wasnʼt much impressed with the details on the page, so she returned and pulled out a new cultivation art.

Time flew by, and when it was her twenty-seventh attempt, she finally seemed to find a cultivation art she liked at first glance.
