Chapter 348 – Another Attempt(1)

Chapter 348: Another Attempt(1)

”Clang!”

The last arrow of the round clashed with each other. Aakesh expressionlessly looked at it.

The next moment, both the arrows disintegrated, announcing a successful end to the round of clashes.

Soon, a new bullseye appeared in the hall, but Aakesh wasnʼt there to see it and had left the area.

Before entering the training area, just like yesterday, he had made a goal for surpassing bullseyes today, so when he met that aim successfully, he decided to leave.

Unlike yesterday and the day before yesterday, this round of training didnʼt take long despite Aakeshʼs aim being twice what he had achieved last time. It was all due to the winning battle he had with the opponent.

Aakeshʼs growth rate improved with a monstrous rate due to the stressful battle with the opponent. That improvement helped him in achieving his goal of surpassing a hundred bullseyes while only failing twice, and that too at the sixtieth round of seventy-one bullseyes.

Since Aakesh only failed once, the training took only around ten minutes.

After appearing in the selection area, Aakesh chose his next training ground; a portal out of nowhere appeared and sucked him in.

Soon, Aakesh appeared in the familiar area with the giant fort towering above the sky and looking down on him.

Aakesh didnʼt even get the time to breathe as a bell rang and announced the start of the battle.

Aakesh had noticed that the time to start the battle decreased with every next entry he made to increase the level of difficulty.

Since Aakesh had noticed that he was prepared for it, as soon as the bell rang, his left hand held the bow, his right hand held the bowstring, and as he stretched it, an outline of an arrow began appearing.

Soon, the bowstring touched his nose, and a complete arrow had emerged.

While on the fort side, silhouettes of soldiers began appearing as they prepared to jump down.

Aakesh didnʼt wait for them to jump down and released the bowstring.

”Whoosh!”

The next moment, the arrow flew tearing through the air, aiming to pierce the sky.

The arrow had only taken its flight when two new arrows separated from it, and soon two new arrows separated from all the three arrows, and in no time, countless arrows covered the sky.

Aakesh didnʼt end after shooting one arrow, as he continuously shot, one after another.

Each of his shots was a multiplication arrow, so when only around a second had passed, Aakesh had already covered the sky with billions of arrows.

The archers on the fort werenʼt there as bystanders, so when Aakeshʼs shots had covered two-thirds of the total distance between Aakesh and the fort, arrows began flowing from the fort.

Unfortunately for the archers, they didnʼt have multiplication arrows like Aakesh, so when they did a single shot, there were already three arrows waiting for them.

The only saving grace for them was that multiplication arrows didnʼt have a large amount of destructive power.

”Clang! Whoosh!”

”Clang! Whoosh!”

”Clang! Whoosh!”

The sounds of metallic clashes rang in the area as arrows from both sides clashed. At the same time, since the arrows from one side had outnumbered the other side, several of them still flew, tearing through the air, aiming to pierce the soldiers, and give them a life-threatening wound.

The soldiers that were in the air didnʼt expect the archers from the fort to fail right at the start of the battle, so they got caught unprepared. But they were still powerful beings, so they maneuvered midair and dodged the arrows coming toward them, while several of them destroyed the arrows and prepared for a harsh landing.

”Thud!”

”Thud!”

”Thud!”

The soldiers landed on the ground one by one while Aakesh and the archers from the fort were taking a head-on fight.

One second passed, two seconds passed, and just as three seconds passed, the land around Aakesh and the fort began shaking as an outline of an arrow right above his head appeared.

Right after his first shot, Aakesh had begun chanting for the only chanted arrow he could shoot while continuing to shoot non-chanted arrows.

The soldiers who had only come half the way or had only just landed lost colors on their faces, seeing the outline of the arrow above the challengerʼs head.

The memory of the destruction the arrow had caused just a day before yesterday was still evident in their heads as if it had only happened a moment earlier.

The thoughts of retreating appeared in many of the soldierʼs heads, seeing the outline, but they persisted and attempted to push past the pressure released by it and become the lucky ones to survive for more than three seconds.

Aakesh had no interest in knowing what was going through the soldierʼs heads, so he continued his chanting while shooting a multiplication arrow one after another.

The clouds in the sky had already disappeared, and layers after layers of countless arrows had taken its place. It still wasnʼt the end, as a new layer was getting added with each passing moment due to the multiplication.

”…Gatrt Yatru Namah!”

Aakesh finally completed chanting the mantra.

The outline of the arrow above his head began materializing, and with it, destructive earthquakes, landslides, and other disasters started occurring. The soldiers coughed blood as a sudden intense pressure attacked them.

The closest group of soldiers directly disintegrated into nothingness just with the arrival of the arrow.

The soldiers werenʼt the only ones to take the hit. Aakeshʼs arrows also felt the pressure released by the laughing beast head.

(A/N: If youʼve forgotten how the arrow looked, please check chapter 313.  Iʼm still waiting for your suggestions for naming it.)

Layers after layer of arrows began disintegrating. Even their ashes didnʼt remain such was the intensity at which the laughing beast head released the pressure.

”Aum Tramtra Turfay Yugisan…,”

Suddenly a chant began ringing in the area.

Aakash coldly looked at the fort as he knew the archers from the fort were going to use their chanted arrows to attack him.

Aakesh only took a glance at the fort, then extended his hands. The next moment, the arrow with the laughing beast head fell in Aakeshʼs hands.

The scene still looked weird as Aakesh held an arrow even larger than him.. The bow on Aakeshʼs hands also began growing, and when it had almost reached four times the size of Aakesh, the enlargement stopped.
