The First Store System

Chapter 318: Saved

The city named Swiftport was more than 15,000 miles away from the town of Wolfden, making his journey duration around a week if he were to travel at his usual speed without using any movement skill.

Aakesh didnʼt have that many days to waste in only traveling, so he decided to activate one of the movement skills.

At that time, a familiar copied movement skill came to his mind. He had copied this skill from Lenna. It was Crossing the Skies.

Aakesh activated the skill, and the next moment, he appeared more than a hundred miles away from his previous location.

The skill cost 500 units of energy for every second of use, so Aakesh only decided to use it for only three more seconds.

After losing 2000 units of his energy, Aakesh appeared more than four hundred miles away from the location he was earlier.

Four hundred miles was only a drop in his travels, so Aakesh didnʼt stop and activated another movement skill that didnʼt cost him much energy.

Time flew by, and six hours had passed since he began his journey to the city, Swiftport.

In these six hours, Aakesh had covered more than 7,000 miles of distance, traveling averagely a mile in three seconds for the last several hours.

Aakesh didnʼt want to stop, but his energy unit had reached his minimum threshold, so he had no choice but to travel without using any movement skill and waited for his energy to recover.

Since he only had 250 units in energy left, Aakesh didnʼt want to fight any beasts in the jungle. In this part, even the lowest level beast he came across was Level 50.

He could kill Level 50 easily with only his physical strength, but the same couldnʼt be said for Level 51 creatures. Reaching Level 51 marked an upgrade of lifeform, and the higher the level of the lifeform, the bigger the difference between them grew.

Aakesh could still kill beings below Level 55, but with only physical strength, it wasnʼt possible for anyone who exceeded Level 50.

Even though Aakesh didnʼt want a fight, since he was in a dense jungle full of various species of beasts, a fight found him.

”Screech!”

The next moment, a beast cry echoed in the area from the sky.

Aakesh looked in the sky, only to notice an eagle gliding toward him.

Aakesh couldnʼt tell the exact level of the eagle, but he could sense that the lifeform of the eagle had exceeded his rare level of lifeform.

Aakesh didnʼt have much energy to fight, but that didnʼt mean that he would escape from some beast.

He grabbed his sword from the scabbard tied to his back and grabbed it out.

With this sharpness, the sword couldnʼt pierce the eagle as it was an epic lifeform. Aakesh activated one of the common sword skills that allowed an aura of sharpness to appear around the sword.

The eagle didnʼt care about Aakesh grabbing his sword, as it could sense that Aakesh had a lower level of lifeform.

”Screech!”

The eagle let out another cry as it glided down at Aakesh.

Aakesh took a jump from the tree at the eagle with the sword in his right hand, while the left hand was raised to grab over the eagle.

”Clang!”

The sound of metallic clash rang in the area as Aakeshʼs sword clashed with the head of the eagle.

The eagle was no ordinary creature, so on time, it brought its beak in between the sword and its head.

Aakesh grabbed the left side of the eagleʼs wing as he forced his sword to split the eagle in two, going through its beak.

The eagle tried to fly away, seeing the sudden turnaround of the situation, but how could Aakesh let go of its wings.

It had only been around a second since Aakeshʼs jump and grabbing the eagle. But since Aakesh couldnʼt fly, and he didnʼt let the eagle fly, he began falling down. The eagle also fell with him.

”Thud!”

A gentle sound echoed in the area as Aakesh landed on the ground. Soon, a fountain of blood erupted in the area as the split parts of the eagle crashed on the ground with a loud sound.

Not a single drop of blood sullied Aakeshʼs skin. The scene looked weird, as an uninjured man with no hint of blood on his body stood in a pool of red blood.

Aakesh didnʼt even take a glance at the eagle and left the area.

Time flew by, and hours passed by.

[Host, the sun will rise in Visteerna in thirty minutes. The system suggests you return to the store.]

Aakesh was running at his full speed when a sudden alert from the system made him stop in his tracks.

Aakesh had already covered around three-fourths of the journey, but since it would still take hours for him to complete his journey, there was no point in continuing to travel in place of opening the store.

Since Aakesh had already made the decision, he thought of exiting the Panagea. The next moment, he disappeared from where he was standing.

Aakesh was unaware that he had just saved himself from his first death in Panagea, as only a few seconds later after his exit, a Level 83 hyena passed through the area.

It had a look of confusion in its eyes as it had smelled the scent of another being. It looked around here and there for a few seconds. After not finding anyone, it left the area for another hunt.

After exiting the Panagea, Aakesh appeared in the portal room.

Soon, the floating door of his room and soon after, the stairs connecting the door to the hardwood floor appeared.

Time flew by.

The first ray of the sunlight arrived and brought light into the Anga continent, dispersing the darkness.

After taking a bath and changing into another set of below waist clothes, Aakesh stepped down the stairs and went to the door of the store.

He opened the store, and as usual, a large crowd was waiting to enter the store.

Aakesh turned around and went to his chair while the crowd began pouring into the store like a tide.

Soon, the large crowd waiting outside the store turned empty as all of them had entered the store.
