The First Store System

Chapter 313: Battle(2)

The arrow in the air not only rained thunders on the shieldmen, but it also destroyed each shot coming at it from the fort. At the same time, it had also changed the warm weather into thunderous weather. The thunderous weather, in turn, made the arrow stronger with each passing second.

Aakesh wasnʼt able to benefit from the advantage brought by the arrow in the air in the ground battle as the soldiers had clearly gotten stronger than before.

Aakesh hasnʼt been able to land a single successful offensive on the soldiers until now.

In the fourth second of the battle, he had used the five-element arrow, but unfortunately for him, the spearmen destroyed the earthen arrow, breaking the perfect cycle, and then it became easier for them to defeat the other five arrows.

”Clang!”

”Clang!”

”Clang!”

The sound of continuous metallic clashes rang in the area as Aakesh shot arrows to deflect the spears coming at him, aiming to cut him.

Even though Aakesh was at a disadvantage currently, he still didnʼt care and fought as it was one of the toughest training areas for an archer created by the system.

Aakesh was only fighting against the spearmen when suddenly a sound of an explosion, loud enough to shake the ground, echoed in the air.

”Done!” The archer from the fort murmured, after shooting down the arrow, raining thunder on the shieldmen.

The next moment, the weather turned bright with the destruction of the arrow.

Aakesh didnʼt care and continued shooting arrows.

While battling the spearmenʼs spears, Aakesh noticed that his shooting speed was growing at a visible rate. Since the spearmen grew stronger by a percent with each second, the danger in response brought out the potential of Aakesh in the shooting.

Time flew by, and ten minutes had passed.

The spearmen had already grown stronger by five times, while Aakesh remained the same.

Since Aakesh didnʼt wear anything on his upper body, wounds created by the spears could be clearly seen. But at the same time, they also healed at a rate visible through naked eyes.

Aakesh wasnʼt the only one who was injured, as thousands of corpses lying on the ground could be seen.

”Aum Taram Tarayrye Aurye…,”

Suddenly, the sound of chanting began ringing in the area. Aakesh continued to shoot arrows to deflect spears coming at him, but at the same time, he also began chanting for his attack.

The attacks in the Multiverse belonged to two categories, Non-chanting and Chanting.

The non-chanting attacks included the majority of the skills learned by the warrior/mage/cultivator. At the same time, there was another category, and that was the chanting attacks.

The chanting attacks were the strongest kind of attacks and will only activate after chanting its mantra.

Aakesh was using one such type of attack.

Aakesh was only halfway through the chant when the land in which he was fighting began shaking as if something terrible was going to happen.

Aakesh ignored the shaking and continued shooting at chanting the mantra.

Even though the chanted attacks were several times stronger than the non-chanted attacks, the chanted strikes had a disadvantage, that they needed time.

The mantra Aakesh was chanting demanded three seconds from him. Fortunately for Aakesh, his mastery in archery was adequate for this mantra, so he could chant while continuing to shoot ordinary metal arrows.

Two seconds of Aakeshʼs chanting passed.

The land began cracking, and in no time, it engulfed thousands of shieldmen and spearmen.

The spearmen had grown stronger by at least five times from before they had entered the battle, but their mind still ordered them to run. Since they had already selected the timer, they had no choice but to continue to fight. If they fought, they had a chance to survive, but if the spearmen escaped, they were sure to die due to the side effects.

When Aakesh had completed three-fourths of the chant, the outline of the arrow finally appeared.

It didnʼt appear set in the bow, but it appeared floating in the air right above Aakeshʼs head.

Only the outline of the arrow had appeared, and the space around it already began cracking down into pieces.

Right at that moment, an endless crack appeared in the area. It didnʼt stop at the soldiers. It continued in the direction of the fort.

When the crack was only a meter away from touching the fort, it suddenly stopped as if something had ordered it to.

”...Gatrt Yatru Namah!”

Finally, Aakeshʼs chant came to an end.

The arrow that was only outlined finally materialized into a physical form.

The space that had finally repaired itself began cracking like glass shards into the ground. The spearmen and shieldmen near Aakesh started exploding into a blood mist one by one to welcome the augment of something evil.

Then something unimaginable happened as the mist then flowed in the direction of the arrow.

Soon, a vortex appeared right above it as if it had been craving the taste of blood for an unknown amount of time.

The arrow was around twice the size of the already tall Aakesh. Its shaft was made up of a divine material, with numerous patterns engraved on it. It was thick enough to hide a full-grown human.

Instead of tail feathers, it had scales. Each scale was dark enough to absorb light and sharp enough to even cut through space.

In place of the arrowhead, there was the mouth of a beast. The beast had tusks of an elephant, nose of a boar, teeth of a wolf, the tongue of a snake, eyes of a cat, horns of a bull, ears of a bat, and mane of a lion, making it a strange beast never seen in the Primal and Sacred dimension.

As if the beast was alive, it laughed out loud, bringing an eerie environment to the battlefield.

Aakesh then extended his hands, and it fell upon his hands. The strange beastʼs mouth stopped laughing. The scales stopped shaking. The land became calm, and the space repaired itself.

Even though the arrow weighed in tons, it weighed equivalent to the weight of a feather in his hands.

The bow in Aakeshʼs other hand suddenly grew larger by four times to accommodate the arrow.

Even though the bow and arrow were way larger than Aakesh, he only had to use the same amount of effort he previously used.
