The First Store System

Chapter 154: Third-day Event

The sun rose as scheduled and brought a new day for everyone living in the Bisan Kingdom.

The door of the store automatically opened to welcome the crowd inside.

Since it was the last day of the three-day event, thousands of people were already waiting outside for the store to open.

The moment the door of the store opened, people, like the flow of the raging river, moved inside the store.

Since they only needed to think of going to the chair after setting foot inside the store, a situation of stampede didnʼt occur.

More than thirty minutes had passed since the door of the store opened, but Aakesh was nowhere to be seen. The people currently sitting in the store had already crossed the mark of 100,000.

Another hour passed, and Aakesh still didnʼt appear, while the number of people sitting in the chair had crossed 378,000.

”Why do you think the store owner isnʼt appearing despite so much time passing?” One man in the crowd confusedly asked his friend.

In the last two days, the first event was usually already in half-phase during this time, and today the store owner hadnʼt even appeared, let alone the start of the event.

”Maybe the store owner forgot,” The friend doubtfully replied.

The man gave the side-eye to his friend after hearing his response.

”Maybe the event is going to be way grander than the events from the last two days,” Another man who was sitting near the group of friends commented. He wasnʼt sure about what he commented, but he felt that something like this was bound to happen.

Another 90 minutes passed, but Aakesh still didnʼt appear.

Despite three hours passing, no one in the crowd left the store and waited for the store owner to appear without making any fuss. The current number of people in the store had already crossed the golden number of one million, and still, hundreds of people were entering the store every moment.

Around 30% of the people in the crowd didnʼt belong to the Bisan Kingdom. Many in the crowd arrived for the event after spending large sums of money on their travel.

The tower that Brinda had won yesterday was the reason behind the people from outside the Bisan Kingdom arriving.

The previous evening after the end of the events,

”Youʼve done a huge favor on us. Our family could never repay you,” Punta told his grandaughter while they were on their way to the royal palace.

”It was my duty, royal grandfather,” Brinda replied with a calm look on her face.

”Our Kingdom has nothing worth to reward you for the service youʼd done to the Kingdom by winning the tower, but still, I can do one personal thing. You donʼt need to use the honorary title before me. You can simply call me grandfather,” Punta announced, bringing a look of shock on the faces of the other family members.

Many of the princes and princesses had envious faces after hearing Puntaʼs announcement. It may not have meant anything if it had come from their father, but it was their grandfather, a prince of another Kingdom, thousands of times greater than theirs.

After this announcement, Punta choosing someone other than Brinda as the next king was likely impossible. Even if something major happened in the future that may force Punta to select some other heir, there is almost no doubt that Brinda still would have the greatest say in the Kingdom after what she had achieved today and Puntaʼs announcement.

”Thank you, grandfather,” Punta excitedly responded to her grandfatherʼs announcement since she also understood the value of what Punta said.

”Damn it, how could this happen? If grandfather had already made his mind to choose her as the next king, then what about the hard work Iʼve been doing this past week in the Panagea?” Pento frustratingly thought inside his heart but had an envious expression on the outside.

He couldnʼt afford to show his frustrating expression today since Brinda has won something which could change the trajectory of the Bisan Kingdom for its life.

Pentoʼs primary purpose behind working this hard in Panagea was to gain enough power to get chosen as the heir. After Aakesh had told him he would have the chance to get territory in the Panagea in the event, he thought his time had come. But then, today happened, and an event with the tower as the reward came, and his sister Brinda was the sole participant to win a fight against the opponent having the same cultivation level as her.

He couldnʼt help but curse himself for not being able to win against the opponent of the same level despite polishing his fighting techniques due to the quests in the Panagea.

He was cursing himself when he suddenly broke out of his stupor, and the next moment his jaw almost dropped to the ground after hearing what Punta said next.

”Letʼs meet father, your great-grandfather today,” Punta suddenly told Brinda.

”Really!” Brinda exclaimed in shock in response.

”Iʼll meet you in the royal palace,” Punta looked at the other royal family members and told them.

The next moment, he took a strange button out of his space ring. He then grabbed hold of Brindaʼs hands and crushed the button before anyone could say anything.

The next moment, they both disappeared from there, while all the other members had jealous and frustrating expressions after they left.

Punta belonged to the Chivell Kingdom. He brought Brinda here, as he had already chosen her as the next king of the Bisan Kingdom.

It wasnʼt due to the tower that he had made this decision. Even if someone else had won, he wouldʼve still chosen Brinda as the king.

Her talent alone made him choose her as the king. He brought her here to make acquaintance with his father.

He had already decided to leave the life of power after selecting the heir, so he brought her here in case something happened to his Kingdom, Brinda would still be able to survive with the help of his father.

After Punta told his father about Brinda, the tower, and the event, his father also decided to join them tomorrow with his family for the event in the store.

That night, an announcement rang in the Chivell Kingdom, and the spies of nearby Kingdoms made the announcements known to others too.
