Chapter 136: Fighting with Clones(2)

Mark was able to defeat his Qi condensation clones only a few seconds earlier than the arrival of the fourth clone. After the battle ended, a blue light engulfed him, and he became the same as before.

The next moment, an orange light engulfed him, and the next second it disappeared. He was now a Houtian level cultivator.

In Houtian, cultivators could use Qi outside their bodies. But it had limited use. They could only use it to reinforce their bodies for attacking, defending, or escaping.

The next moment, a one appeared on the top of the mirror, signifying the number of victories he had gotten against his clones.

Then, the mirror reflected light, and Markʼs clone of Houtian level appeared in front of him. Soon, the bell rang, announcing the beginning of the battle.

Mark reinforced his legs and both his palms right away and rushed toward the clone. His clone also did the same and ran toward Mark, but Mark changed his direction suddenly and ran in the right direction of the clone.

It took the clone by surprise. To save itself from any surprise attack, it covered its vital with Qi. the next moment, Mark took another turn after reaching right behind his mirror clone.

Mark expected the clone to cover its vitals with Qi since if he were in this situation, he also wouldʼve done the same. But his target wasnʼt the vitals. Instead, it was the cloneʼs hands.

When Mark reached the clone, he grabbed its right hand since it was the primary hand and tried to snap it, but what he expected didnʼt happen. The clone fought its way and forced him to release his hands, but Mark was able to move the hands from its joints which made any further move using the hands very painful for the clone.

Time flew by. Around five minutes had passed since the Houtian level battle began. Mark was still fighting for his second victory.

He had severe injuries, and half of his left hand was gone, while one of the clones he was fighting didnʼt have a right hand, and the other clone was lying down on the ground with its head crushed.

It was currently the battle for time and who would win first. Mark only had one minute left to win, and the clone also only needed to stall for a minute, then a new clone would appear in the battle.

Unfortunately for Mark, he had severe injuries, and he was also exhausted. He couldnʼt continue the battle for long, and a few moments later, as expected, he fell on the ground after losing consciousness from pain and exhaustion.

The next moment, the clone disappeared from the battleground since losing consciousness equaled dying in a life and death battle. Suddenly a white light engulfed him, and he disappeared from the area.

The next moment, the black screen dimmed down since no participant was currently fighting. Mark then appeared on the platform while he had gotten completely healed due to the white light.

A tiny projection of one appeared on his head, signifying his one victory with his mirror clones.

”Wow, youʼve gotten better,” Mark was just thinking when he felt a familiar slap on his shoulder, and the next moment, he fell down face first. It was Bisal who had slapped Mark.

Aakesh ignored their actions and pointed at the other 15 participants. He then gestured them to enter the portal.

The participants nodded and entered their respective portals. Time continuously flowed like the moving river, and three hours had passed since the start of the event.

180 participants had already completed their turns, and currently, a group was fighting on the screen.

The most number of battles were won by Lenna in the event, until now. She won seven battles up to the Void Forging level. The second best was Punta, who had won four fights up to the Soul Formation level.

In the current group of participants in the battleground, George was fighting his mirror clone. He was currently a Soul Formation cultivator.

His clone had severe injuries all over its body, while George had only one or two injuries.

A few moments later, only him remained in the battleground, while the headless corpse of his clone lied near his legs, and its head was a few steps away from him.

The next moment, the number on the top of the mirror changed to 4. He then upgraded and reached Nascent Soul. The next moment, the mirror reflected light, and his mirror clone appeared.

After the cultivators reached Nascent Soul, the battle didnʼt remain only physical. It was now spiritual as well since Nascent Soul and above cultivators could use their consciousnesses.

The next moment, a heart-rending scream echoed in the battleground. It was the clone who screamed. The next moment, it fell down on the ground with lifeless eyes bringing shock to everyone watching the battle.

It screamed because a transparent baby had appeared in its consciousness moments earlier and attacked it. The baby then raised his hands, and countless white flashes appeared.

The next moment, the hand fell down, and the countless white flashes attacked at the same time, cutting the cloneʼs consciousness into countless pieces. Since cultivators below Tao Seed canʼt survive without complete consciousness, the clone died, and its eyes turned lifeless.

”If I only had a sword, winning would only become easier,” George murmured, looking at the lifeless corpse of his Nascent Soul clone.

Within moments, the number on top of the mirror changed from four to five.

Time flew by. George was able to win nine battles and surpass Lenna. He got only defeated by the Tao Palace version of him. In that battle, he wasnʼt able to defeat the clone, and the number of clones only grew with time. When the number of clones reached six, he willingly gave up since there was no point in continuing the battle other than wasting time.

While he was fighting, Aakesh sent many groups of 14 participants. It was currently the last group of participants fighting in the portal.

On the outside, the sun had already set and announced the arrival of the darkness. Still, people were coming and going out of the store every moment.. The number of people currently sitting in the store had grown into a whooping 387,862, and it was still growing.
