The First Store System

Chapter 137: Winner(1)

Only the last group was left out of the 242 participants in the event.

Twenty minutes had passed since this group entered their portals, and only six participants were left fighting.

Evelyn was fighting against her Tao Seed clone. Brinda was fighting against her Void Condensation clone. Kuriati was fighting against his completel Atirathi clone, and his other two brothers were fighting against their Void Condensation and Nascent Soul clones.

There was an unexpected entry into this group, and that was a commoner named Timothy. He was currently fighting against his Tao Seed clone. His cultivation level, in reality, was only late Soul Formation, so he was the only participant who was able to gain benefit from this event even if he lost the event.

Timothy was one of the followers of the religion ʼFive Beast Totemʼ, so his motivation for winning was to win the battle and then use the White Tiger to gain recognition in the Tiger camp.

The fights continued, and time passed. Evelyn defeated her Tao Seed and Tao Manifestation clone after working hard, but she also got stuck in the battle against her Tao Palace clone like her boyfriend George.

In the Tao seed level, Tao takes seed in the consciousness of the cultivator. It signifies that the cultivator had gained the ability to learn Tao.

After that comes the level of Tao Manifestation. In that level, the Tao seed germinates into a Tao tree, signifying that Tao had recognized the ability of the cultivator and decided to manifest itself in the form of a tree in the cultivatorʼs consciousness. The fruit of the tree denotes the number of Tao that had recognized the cultivator. The most number of Tao fruits gained by any cultivator is 3000, and that was the first Qi cultivator who got the Qi cultivation system from Laozi, a Deva.

After the creation of the Tao tree, the cultivator cares for it by using Qi and his attainment of Tao. When that fruit turns ripe, it turns into a palace signifying Tao has recognized the cultivator as its equal, and the being gets a breakthrough to the level Tao Palace. The more fruit the cultivator had in his Tao tree, the more floors they would have in the Tao Palace level.

And when finally all the Tao palaces combine to give birth to a new world that may or may not be habitable for any species, signifying Tao has recognized the being as the superior. The Tao then grants the title of Heavenly Monarch to the cultivator. In turn, the cultivator attains eternal life as the reward.

In the Tao Palace, the fighting becomes all spiritual since the physique gains the ability of Pseudo-indestructibility. A Tao Palace cultivator could only defeat a Tao Palace cultivator physically if they had overwhelming power in comparison to their opponent, but this wasnʼt the case for Evelyn and her clone. Since they both had an equal level of physique, no one could do anything to the other, so the battle turned into the clash of their respective Palaces.

Evelyn had eleven floors in her Tao Palace, signifying that she had control over eleven different Tao. Her clone also had the same number of floors, so the battle turned to a standstill.

Timothy also defeated his Tao seed clone after working hard and facing many severe injuries. But still, there was a smile on his face as the feeling of power was too intoxicating for him to care about the number of wounds he had.

The next moment, a blue light engulfed him. After the light disappeared, he appeared the same as before, having not even a hint of injury on his body. Soon, the number on the top of the mirror changed to seven from six, signifying he had won seven victories against his mirror clone.

Time flew by. Like her boyfriend, Evelyn was unable to defeat her Tao Palace clone, but unlike him, she didnʼt give up and continued fighting only to lose after getting killed by the combined attack of seven clones. Kuriati was also in a terrible situation, as five of his top Maharathi clone were beating him with their random sword strikes. Since he belonged to the warrior system, both him and his clone had weapons to fight.

With every strike, Kuriati groaned in pain and coughed out blood. He was also unable to cross the boundary of top Maharathi and lost the battle after his clones killed him by crushing every bone in his body.

The crowd looked at the screens without even daring to breathe since only one screen was currently active. It was Timothy who was fighting against his Tao Manifestation clone.

When the projection of his Tao tree with a sole fruit appeared behind him, shocked and horrified looks appeared on the faces of the people who recognized the fruit.

The fruit was black in color in the form of a piece of thunder.

”Chaotic Thunder!” One man in the crowd exclaimed in shock, seeing the fruit.

Many of the people looked at him in confusion and asked, ”What is Chaotic Thunder?”

”I only know that itʼs rumored to be one of the most destructive forms of thunder and is one of the superior Tao,” The man responded after taking a deep breath to calm his pounding heart.

The man was a Tao Seed cultivator and came across the event while traveling the store, so he had some knowledge about the Chaotic Thunder.

Aakesh only took one glance at the fruit of Chaotic Thunder and moved his eyes away. He knew about the power of the Chaotic Thunder, but he knew many more things that could cause destruction by several folds when compared with the Chaotic Thunder, so he had no particular interest in it.

The next moment, the ceiling got covered with a sea of lightning similar to the fruit. The appearance of the lightning alone broke the fabric of space in the battleground. Another layer of lightning then appeared right below the first layer due to the clone.

The next moment, both layers of lightning collided since it was the opposing powers, and an explosion loud enough to rock the entire Kingdom appeared in the store, but the system stopped the sound from leaving the store.

The crowd focused on the screen to see the result of the clash and not to miss anything, but after the explosion, the screen suddenly turned black.. The next moment, Timothy appeared on the platform while being engulfed by blue light.
