The First Store System

Chapter 139: Second-day Event

The night looked like years for many who waited outside the store for the opening the following morning, but since time follows its own rule, it flew by, and the first ray of sunlight arrived that made the darkness hide for the time being.

With the sunrise, the door of the store automatically opened. Those who were waiting at the front rushed inside the store.

After entering, they saw the number of chairs had grown while other things remained the same.

They only had to think of sitting, and the next moment they appeared in front of the chairs. Since Aakesh still hasnʼt appeared, people started discussing todayʼs events.

”What do you think todayʼs events would be?” One man in the group asked his friends.

”Who knows?” Another group member replied.

It has only been a few moments since the door opened, and already the number of the sitting crowd had reached 762. With every passing second, the number increased by tens of people.

They were discussing things when they suddenly heard sounds of teleportations in the store. Their gaze landed on the entry, and they saw a group of people with their faces covered, but their silver hair and pointed ears revealed who they were.

The group became the center of attention right away for everyone in the crowd. It was the group of Lenna and her family members that had teleported inside the store.

Lennaʼs family at first was angry with her for showing her identity as Elf even after knowing the purpose of her coming here, but when she told the reason behind it to her family members, they also decided to join her in the hope of seeing a living Dragon.

The group noticed the look of envy, jealousy, love, hate, and many others on the faces of the crowd, but they ignored it and sat down on the first chairs they found.

A few moments had passed when a floating door appeared right above the platform. A moment later, the door opened, and stairs appeared connecting it to the stage. Aakesh walked out from the door and stepped down the stairs.

After he appeared on the platform, the door and the stairs disappeared. He then looked at the crowd and saw the number in the crowd had crossed 1000.

All the people sitting in the crowd also focused on Aakesh and waited for what he would announce as the first event for today.

”Welcome to the second day of the storeʼs three-day event,” Aakesh expressionlessly welcomed everybody.

”Since many people are already here, letʼs start our first event for today,” Aakesh announced, making the eyes of the crowd bigger.

”The first event for today would be tower climbing...” Aakesh started announcing the first event.

It was a tower climbing event. In the event, participants would climb the tower. On the top of every floor, they would face an opponent.

For the first floor, they would face an opponent having the cultivation level of Qi condensation. With every floor, the opponentʼs cultivation would increase by a stage, i.e., on the second floor, the participants would face intermediate Qi condensation.

They not only had to win the battle against their opponents but there was a time limit in which they needed to win.

If they failed to gain victory within the required time limit, they would get demoted to a lower floor. If they lost for the second time, they would get sent back to the first floor, and if the participants failed to overcome their opponent for the third time within the time limit, they would get disqualified. If their opponent defeated them within the time limit, then they would directly get disqualified.

The opponents they would face on the top of every floor would be random beings belonging to different races. Many people who remembered the battle of the clones sighed with relief when they heard this rule.

The participant who would be able to win the most number of battles above his actual cultivation level would win the event and get the reward.

After Aakesh announced the event, the crowd looked at him with enthusiastic eyes. They couldnʼt wait to see the reward for the event since every reward had been a high-level reward.

The next moment, Aakesh waved his hands, and a giant tower with 44 floors appeared on the platform.

”This would be the tower you would fight in, and it would also be the reward for the winner of the event,” Aakesh announced, pointing at the tower.

The tower was also one of Aakeshʼs creations using the element of Illusion, and with the systemʼs help, he created illusions of beings belonging to the Immortal levels. Anyone who entered the tower would not enter physically, but his consciousness would enter it and face the opponents.

Even if they died facing the opponent, they wouldnʼt die in real life. They would only need a bed rest of a week to become as healthy as before, but since currently, Aakesh was conducting an event, no injuries would occur.

If anyone won this tower, they could create a world-shaking organization in no time, and people in the crowd also knew that, so their eyes turned determined to participate in the event irrespective of the price and win the tower.

”Those who want to participate raise their hands and take out hundred ordinary Primal stones,” Aakesh announced, making the majority of the crowd grasp in shock after hearing the price.

But when the crowd looked around them, they found many of the people raising their hands, which was even more shocking for them. They never knew there were so many rich people in their Kingdom because, with 100 ordinary Primal stones, a family could live their life with luxury in the Kingdom like theirs.

The crowd didnʼt know that many of the people who had raised their hands werenʼt from their Kingdom but came here after hearing the news of the events. Punta himself noticed several kings of the neighboring Kingdoms raising their hands.

Aakesh counted the number of people raising their hands and found 480 participants. His face remained expressionless outside, but inside he couldnʼt help but feel happy seeing more participants on only the first event than the combined number of participants he had yesterday.

The next moment, Aakesh waved his hands, and all the participants appeared on the platform.
