Chapter 1582: Chapter 48: The ‘Twin Sisters’ of the Southern Part

The annotation on the cover of the notebook made Su Xiao’s heart race. After searching for so long, he finally had a direct clue. However, there was a piece of bad news: the yellowed notebook was extremely thin, with only three pages. Besides the front and back covers, there was only one page with contents in the middle, which was definitely not good news.

As he opened the notebook, Su Xiao immediately felt something unusual, as if someone was watching him. But after a moment, the sensation faded away.

In the library, Xue Yi sat up on the small wooden bed, her eyes glowing with a purple light.

”Your hand... has reached too far. This is the Holy Healing Church, not the Southern part!”

Xue Yi’s voice was icy cold. After a moment, her expression returned to normal as she continued lying on the bed, crossing her legs casually.

”So, this is what you’re looking for. I can’t understand the thinking of these monsters. Why provoke those three sisters? The Mo Yi Family is not to be trifled with.”

Xue Yi seemed to know something, but she could no longer leave the Holy Healing Church headquarters. As long as she was there, someone from the South wouldn’t dare step into the Central Plains Region.

In the small library, Su Xiao flipped through the notebook in his hand. As he had guessed, the contents were quite limited.

’Death Land has no real connection with witches.’

’The Mo Yi Family guarding Death Land for generations is incomprehensible.’

’Confirmed: Death Land is located in the Southern part, resulting in the death or injury of 157 Witch Hunters. Exploration ceased.’

’The Mo Yi Family is not guarding Death Land; they are guarding something within it. This might be the source of the Mo Yi Family’s strength.’

’Why does each generation of the Mo Yi Family have a Fifth Stage Witch? Why are their direct descendants all female? Why are their avatars so excellent? It’s incomprehensible, and it might be connected to Death Land. But exploration has ceased, and it’s been considered to send out Witch Hunters again. The threat of the Mo Yi Family is urgent.’

...

Simple five paragraphs, the notebook had no further information, but it was enough. When Su Xiao first entered the Dark Raven World, his information was only that a single witch knew the specific details about the Demon Blade Energy Sealing Device, which the witches referred to as Death Land.

Based on this simple hint, he exposed the Mo Yi Family. With the current amount of information, if he couldn’t find where Death Land was, he would be unworthy of his title as a Hunter. In some regards, a Violator is even harder to find than Death Land.

Death Land is in the Southern part, guarded by the Mo Yi Family. Based on these two pieces of information, Su Xiao found a book about the Mo Yi Family on the shelf.

The Mo Yi Family is a family of witches, with each family head being a Fifth Stage Witch, almost a rule. This established the Mo Yi Family’s ruling position in the Southern part.

The Mo Yi Family spans many generations. In this generation, there are three direct lineage members—three twin sisters named: Mo Yi·Nora, Mo Yi·Lisa, and Misfortune.

Su Xiao’s mouth noticeably twitched twice. The names of these three sisters were as impactful as Little Ming, Little White, and Liu Tiedan.

Mo Yi·Nora and Mo Yi·Lisa are straightforward enough—Mo Yi·Nora is the eldest, and Mo Yi·Lisa is the second daughter. As for Misfortune, she is the youngest sister.

Misfortune is her official name, not a nickname or title, which makes it all the more peculiar.

After some contemplation, Su Xiao focused on the name of the second daughter, ’Mo Yi·Lisa,’ his brows furrowed.

Mo Yi·Lisa, Moris? The two seem very similar, both Fifth Stage Witches, both in the Elemental series, and... around the same age.

Su Xiao continued to browse through the Mo Yi Family’s information. Upon reaching records from five years ago, he confirmed that Mo Yi·Lisa was the Light Witch Moris, who died at his hands.

Both Mo Yi·Nora and Mo Yi·Lisa were Fifth Stage Witches, initially stationed in the Southern part. As for the sister Misfortune, she, too, was a Fifth Stage Witch.

For a family to produce three Fifth Stage Witches, the Mo Yi Family’s status among the witches was self-evident. But five years ago, Mo Yi·Lisa suddenly left the Southern part, heading to the Mo Yi Family’s long-managed witches’ gathering place in Westport, where the Mo Yi Family had once risen before relocating to the Southern part.

What was even more surprising was that the eldest daughter, Mo Yi·Nora, significantly withdrew witches from Westport, leaving only a few behind. It seemed the two sisters had a falling out.

As the eldest, Mo Yi·Nora naturally inherited the power of the Mo Yi Family, but she didn’t consolidate the Southern witches; instead, she let them scatter throughout the Southern part.

Just when everyone thought Mo Yi·Nora’s move was utterly foolish, half a year later, the Holy Healing Church could no longer set foot in the Southern part, which had astonishingly become the Witch’s Country—a loose nation without a king or economic system.

It was only then that people realized Mo Yi·Nora’s terrifying nature. The witches scattered across the Southern part were like jungle wild beasts, preventing any outsider from entering the region. This gave witches a chance to develop and grow stronger.

Witches are not an army; gathering them together would hinder their individual strengths and consume large amounts of resources.

After this, the surname Mo Yi was inherited solely by Mo Yi·Nora. Mo Yi·Lisa became known as Moris to outsiders, while Misfortune vanished from everyone’s view.

According to the records, Misfortune was a natural oddity, to the extent that even her parents refused to acknowledge her, hence the name Misfortune.

Misfortune’s oddity was such that her parents refused to acknowledge her, even though her mother was also a witch.

Among the three Mo Yi sisters, Mo Yi·Nora is the Guardian of Death Land. Only she knows the exact location of Death Land.

Having read this far, Su Xiao knew who the witch mentioned in the Main Task was—it was Mo Yi·Nora.

However, one point greatly concerned Su Xiao. Meilodi once stole Moris’s heirloom. It made him wonder, could that so-called heirloom be the Demon Blade Energy Sealing Device?

After pondering for a while, Su Xiao found it unlikely. The place where the Demon Blade Energy Sealing Device was located was called Death Land. If that heirloom really were the Demon Blade Energy Sealing Device, Meilodi would have long been torn apart by the witches from the Southern part.

Putting down the information in his hand, Su Xiao had unraveled the layers of mystery. The situation began to clear up. Mo Yi·Nora knows where Death Land is. In essence, finding Mo Yi·Nora would mean finding Death Land. She’s guarding the place, so she wouldn’t be far off.

To find Mo Yi·Nora, Su Xiao would need to venture into the Southern part. But the number of witches there is utterly incomparable to Westport.

There was an even more troublesome issue: Mo Yi·Nora seemed to have some connection with her sister Misfortune. A Witch Hunter once attempted to assassinate Mo Yi·Nora, but clearly didn’t succeed. Before he died, he sent a message back to the Holy Healing Church headquarters: to kill Mo Yi·Nora, one must simultaneously kill Misfortune.
