Chapter 1569: Chapter 35: Assault Squad

Above the mountains, in the castle, on the first floor.

Hundreds of witches guard here, most of them are First and Second Phase witches, considered the cannon fodder among witches.

The intense smell of burning permeates the castle, the castle gate is tightly closed, through the glass windows filled with energy meridians, the witches see the scene outside.

Westport has now turned into a fiery purgatory, some slaves who couldn’t escape were engulfed by flames; they did not scream, the Third Phase Hades can burn them to ashes in an instant.

The green flames burn Westport while also forming a wall of fire around the castle. For some unknown reason, the green flames cannot spread to the castle; a band of golden light isolates the green flames, this light also carries high temperature, the two mutually annihilate each other.

After a full half hour, the green flames around the castle finally disappear, gray smoke fills the area, visibility is very low.

Thump, thump, thump...

Heavy footsteps sound, hearing these footsteps, the witches on the castle’s first floor gather around the windows.

White chilly air drifts conspicuously in the smoky air, under the gaze of hundreds of witches, a small mountain slowly approaches the castle.

Some witches blink in disbelief, soon, they understand why the small mountain moves, below the mountain is a rather unremarkable figure, horned, with a Minotaur’s body, covered in brown-yellow fluff, strands of chilly air diffuse from it.

Compared to the mountain, this Minotaur-bodied creature is a little dwarf, although it’s a small mountain, its size is larger than the entire castle.

”What... is that thing going to do?”

The witches at the window swallow hard, though they possess supernatural abilities, compared to the astonishing scene before them, their supernatural powers pale in comparison.

”Moo!!”

The Minotaur-bodied monster roars and throws the mountain off its shoulder.

Bang, bang.

Two sounds of air bursting, the mountain in mid-air is heavily struck, suddenly accelerating, changing from a parabolic flight to a straight line.

With a boom, the mountain crashes into the castle, but the next moment, the mountain ignites on its own, transforms into a big fireball, falls to the ground, finally becoming a field of lava.

”I see.”

In the smoke, Su Xiao tears the scroll in his hand; if he guesses correctly, there are at least more than two hundred witches in the castle, Third Phase and Fourth Phase witches are as numerous as dogs. If it’s just him and A Mu entering, even if he activates Demonic Hunt Time, it’s impossible to kill all Third and Fourth Phase witches within 100 seconds inside the enemy’s defensive fortress, not to mention there’s also a Fifth Phase witch in the castle.

Su Xiao rarely uses Demonic Hunt Time, for a simple reason: once activated, he must ensure all enemies are killed, otherwise, after Demonic Hunt Time ends, he suffers severe exhaustion, and any Fourth Phase witch could take his life.

The scroll Su Xiao tore is an ”Elite Undead Summoning Certificate,” a rare artifact he acquired in the World of Xiya.

”Elite Undead Summoning Certificate”

Quality: Legendary Tier

Type: Rare artifact

Effect: After use, can summon 3 Elite Undead Clan members, the undead need to spend 2 seconds constructing bodies, once successfully constructed, they exist for 12 hours.

Note: You can choose the Elite Undead Clan type, Shield Warrior (Close combat)/Hunter (Long range · Bow)/Life Sacrificer (Healing)/Hidden Tooth (Assassin).

Note: Elite Undead Clan members are absolutely loyal, possess independent consciousness, can act/fight independently, execute complex commands.

Note: Elite Undead Clan members have specialized attributes and skills based on type, special attributes range between 80~82, special skill levels range between Level 30~Level 40.

...

The Hunter has used ’Elite Undead Summoning Certificate’, please select Elite Undead type.

Su Xiao can summon a total of three Elite Undead, he’s experienced their power in Xiya Temple, thus he selects one Hunter (Long range · Bow) + two Life Sacrificers (Healing).

Three gray-skinned figures appear, their heights range from 1.5 to 1.7 meters, the Hunter is a female undead, she’s very petite, carrying a stiff wooden bow, her face painted with natural dye, like a jungle mother leopard.

The Life Sacrificers are two wrinkled old men, with terrifying appearance as healers, Su Xiao indeed sees for the first time.

The three undead hesitate for a few seconds, then gradually their eyes glow, they immediately kneel on one knee.

”You’re Number One, you two, Number Two and Number Three.”

Su Xiao designates the Hunter as Number One, she will charge into the castle with Su Xiao and A Mu, responsible for eliminating distant enemies, Number Two and Number Three are teamed with A Mu, they just need to heal A Mu, Su Xiao has Bu Bu Wang on his side, not to mention he has the recovery effect of Dragon Slash and Ancient Secret Medicine.

A Mu is the Main Tank, Bu Bu is Reconnaissance + Healer + critical moment assassin, Su Xiao kills into the crowd after A Mu attracts fire, rapidly reducing enemy numbers, the Hunter takes cold shots from dark.

The Hunter and Life Sacrificers don’t need Su Xiao to control, they inherently have decent combat proficiency, according to the scroll, their specialized attributes range between 80~82, special skill levels are Level 30~Level 40.

Actually, thanks to Su Xiao’s impressively high real intelligence attribute of 96, the specialized attributes of three undead clan members exceed 90, special skills are between Level 45~Level 50.

Individually picked, these three Elite Undead Clan members are like mini-bosses, especially the Hunter whose defense is notoriously weak, yet her attack power is astonishingly terrifying, even Su Xiao would not be comfortable with an arrow from her.

Skill 1, Bow Specialization (Passive, Level 50): Increases bow-type weapon attack power by 157%, nerve reflex speed +27%.

Skill 2, Daughter of Death (Passive, Level 42): Long-range attack deals true damage equal to 0.6 times Agility attribute.

Skill 3, Barbed Arrow (Passive, Level 36): If the arrow penetrates an enemy, deals additional 50% penetration damage for this attack, arrow has barbs, forcibly pulling out causes secondary damage.

Skill 4, Power of the Undead (Active/Passive, Level 42): Arrows shot by Hunter carry Power of the Undead, if three arrows hit the same target, Hunter can remotely extract the arrows within the enemy, dealing secondary damage equal to the total damage of three arrows, with fast bleeding effect.

...

Clearly, Su Xiao has formed a castle assault team, with a tank, close combat, long-range, even healers. As for control type, A Mu can also play this role.

In the smoke, A Mu assumes a charging posture, placing its hands on the ground.

Boom!

The dust flies, A Mu strides rapidly towards the castle, with horns raising chills, directly slamming into the castle gate.

”It’s gonna ram the door, block it!”

The witches on the castle’s first floor shout; meanwhile, Third Phase and Fourth Phase witches rush to the first floor, this isn’t an instance where you can clear small monsters first, if conditions go awry, almost all witches inside the castle will rush to the first floor.

There’s something Su Xiao has always puzzled by, why are all these witches hiding inside the castle? If they fought in the open, they’d clearly have the advantage.

This is actually Witch Queen Morisa’s command; anything in Westport can be destroyed except undoubtedly something inside this castle, this is the essence of Westport.
