Chapter 1571: Chapter 37: Driven Back

Su Xiao vanished again from the eyes of those two Fourth Stage Witches, watching their companion’s body sliced in half, they were full of disbelief.

When Su Xiao uses the Shadow Flash ability, not only these witches, but even he himself can only charge in a straight line, unable to change direction halfway, his speed is too fast.

Due to the high speed, the air around Su Xiao became thick, in his vision, he quickly closed the distance with the witch holding a silver chain, the opponent’s movements seemed extremely slow as she raised her hand.

Just as the Silver Chain Witch raised her hand, Su Xiao’s long knife had already slashed across her chest and abdomen.

Blood sprayed, the Shadow Flash ability in its cooldown phase refreshed instantly, the ground under Su Xiao’s feet cracked inch by inch, a cluster of green energy flew towards him, coming from a friendly healing.

Bang!

Su Xiao stepped on the ground, activating the Shadow Flash ability for the third time, that cluster of healing energy from a friendly source was tracking him from behind, he was so fast that even the friendly healing couldn’t keep up.

Su Xiao used Shadow Flash three times in a row, seemingly a lengthy process, but in the eyes of the enemy it was just three flashes of red Slash Light.

The remaining Fourth Stage Witch trembled, the successive deaths of her companions made her fearful, yet in the next moment, this fear disappeared, a cold touch appeared on her chest, followed by a whirl of dizziness.

Su Xiao swiftly slashed three Fourth Stage Witches, the surrounding Third Stage Witches besieging him were stunned, even Kai at the Second Floor entrance widened his eyes in disbelief.

Of course, although the witches were shocked by the swift demise of three Fourth Stage Witches, they would not flee from battle, the castle had no back door, either Su Xiao dies, or they perish.

A Third Stage Witch clasped her hands together, her avatar clung to her back, serving as an Elemental Converter.

Crackling~

A Thunder Ball appeared between the witch’s hands, she pushed it forward with all her might, a bolt of lightning shot out from the Thunder Ball.

Even if it’s artificial lightning, its speed is imaginable, Su Xiao took a deep breath, blocking with his left arm in front.

With a muffled sound, Su Xiao retreated several steps, black smoke drifted from his metal armguard on his left hand, and a numb sensation filled the left half of his body.

Struck by lightning, not only that Third Stage Witch, but even Kai was momentarily stunned.

Just as the Third Stage Witch intended to continue attacking Su Xiao, three arrows attacked from her side, these three arrows were at such an awkward angle, and the witch was casting spells, making it impossible to evade.

An arrow to the throat, an arrow to the head, an arrow to the arm, the Undead Hunter was just about to pull out the arrows using the Power of the Undead, only to find the enemy already dead.

Initially, the Hunter was remotely suppressing Kai, although these three arrows helped Su Xiao resolve distant threats, they also exposed the Hunter to danger.

Metal needles flew towards the Hunter, these metal needles were entirely red-hot, being pierced wouldn’t just leave a hole.

Fortunately, the Hunter was petite, only about one and a half meters tall, she crouched and jumped behind a wall, just about to shoot back, suddenly feeling a burning sensation in her lower abdomen.

The Hunter looked down to see a metal needle embedded in her lower abdomen, the heat from the needle spreading within her.

Sss~

Smoke rose from the Hunter’s hand holding the metal needle, she felt the pain, yet now she couldn’t be distracted by it.

With a swish, the Hunter pulled out the metal needle from her lower abdomen, leaning against the wall, her body nearly convulsed in pain.

Seconds later, the Hunter opened her eyes, her left side of the abdomen completely numb, preventing her from moving as agilely as before, transforming from a nimble archer into a fixed-point shooter.

Su Xiao was behind an Energy Shield, and A Mu hid behind it too, the duo quickly rushed to the wall behind which the Hunter was located, Bubu Wang revealed himself as well.

At this time, hundreds of corpses lay scattered inside the first floor of the castle, most were First and Second Phase Witches, of course, several Third Stage Witches were present, as for the Fourth Stage Witches, Westport had a total of six Fourth Stage Witches, currently four were lying in the first floor, with three killed by Su Xiao, and one taken down by A Mu, the Hunter, and Bubu Wang’s ambush, Fourth Stage Witches were tricky.

Kai, as the second-in-command of Westport, ranks top among Fourth Stage Witches, yet she was not adept at indoor combat, in the open fields, even thousands of soldiers couldn’t approach her.

The location of Su Xiao’s team was in the middle of the first floor, the witches led by Kai were at the second floor entrance, forcibly pushed back by Su Xiao’s team.

Kai broke an arrow from her shoulder, just as she planned to peek ahead, a bullet came straight at her.

Kai’s pupils contracted, the bullet halted abruptly in front of her, quickly melting into a pool of molten metal.

Although it wasn’t a headshot, Kai was quite shaken, she glanced around at dozens of witches, their faces pale, obviously intimidated by that monster.

”Kai... My lord, is that truly a Witch Hunter?”

”Nonsense, if all Witch Hunters were monsters like that, the Witch Country to the south would have been flattened by now.”

Kai’s mood was gloomy, she was not among the warring faction of witches, in Kai’s view, witches could coexist with humans, at least not directly erupt into conflict.

Witches were not beings that needed to harm humans to survive, thus in Kai’s understanding, witches could fully unite with humans to form an Empire, abandoning war and developing the continent’s resources.

Kai was an idealistic witch, unfortunately, she didn’t understand the human heart, when a powerful individual emerges among humans, out of fear, people will use collective strength to exclude those ’abnormal individuals’, there’s no right or wrong, but that’s the origin of the conflict.

No one wants to share a room with a stranger wielding a weapon, especially without legal constraints, moreover, the person wielding the weapon isn’t exactly kind, rather, they have a fierce character.

The siege battle reached this point, clearly favoring Su Xiao’s side, the witches lacked Recovery Ability, which was mastered by the White Witch, considering Westport’s atmosphere, a kind-hearted White Witch wouldn’t stay here long.

Behind the wall, Su Xiao put away the D·Assassin, directly pulling out the Duke of Extinction.

Bang!

With a muffled sound, a Third Stage Witch just about to observe the situation was blown to pieces by a single shot, the other witches quickly retracted their heads.

The gunfire had just stopped, all sorts of avatars surged from the second floor entrance, presenting a myriad of forms.

Seeing this, Bubu Wang hiding behind the wall laughed, it pulled out several shotguns, after tossing a few to A Mu, the dog and the bull wielded double-barrel guns, showering down on the approaching avatars.

Bang, bang, bang...

Diamond fragments flew, the choking smell of gunpowder spread, agonizing screams echoed from the second floor entrance, the charging avatars all came to a screeching halt, turning around to flee back to the second floor entrance.

”Damn!”

Kai pinched a diamond fragment from her neck, she was hit by a stray shot, the fragment bounced several times before hitting her, although the wound wasn’t deep, it was certainly infuriating.
