One-Eyed Monster

The counterattack plan must naturally be made.

As a member of the Kayne Royal Family, as the monarch of the Kayne Empire, he must counterattack.

The enemy has invaded unknowingly, and they have invaded his palace; this is utterly shocking.

He must carry out a counterattack.

Being able to reclaim his own body is quite a good start. Of course, he didn’t expect to be able to reclaim his body so smoothly.

The Devouring Power helped him understand the use of energy.

Due to the relationship of energy devouring, he acquired the memory of the previous Soul Devourer.

This memory told him what exactly happened in the days when he lost control over his body.

Kuyi Tulan being made Hand of the King is truly bad news.

The League Guard within the entire palace has been completely occupied, although maintaining their original state, they’re not themselves anymore. He’s clear on this process, having just experienced it, and has reclaimed his body. But as for these League Guards...

Thinking of this, Harry Kayne couldn’t help but feel things becoming very complicated; he still hasn’t regained his freedom in the palace.

He is still being monitored, his every move under Kuyi Tulan’s surveillance.

Through the memory of the Soul Devourer, he has mastered much information about Soul Devourers, but there are still many vague places that he cannot delve into. Those are the places this Soul Devourer is afraid of, places where no matter how deep his consciousness goes, the opponent instinctively blocks.

He can only vaguely sense that this Soul Devourer fears that power, and it seems this power is their true leader. In other words, that power is their true enemy.

These Soul Devourers, Kuyi Tulan, are just this guy’s puppets, all his subordinates.

Harry Kayne cleared his thoughts, suddenly understanding much information, all turning into his memory.

Faced with such memories, Harry Kayne must do detailed analysis; those related to these powers will become the important basis for him to defeat these enemies later.

Through the memory of this Soul Devourer, he has only learned part of the events that occurred during his time losing his body, and he has no knowledge of what happened outside.

In the past, knowing what was happening outside was his routine, and as a monarch, he must know what was happening outside, understand the impacts on his kingdom, and consider how to respond to them.

A king’s daily life is very busy, although many Politicians help him with numerous trivial tasks, his workload is still very full.

But now, he’s like disconnected from the world, unable to know what’s happening outside.

The previous Enthronement Ceremony, he remembers clearly. Of course, this memory is still the Soul Devourer’s; he saw many Politicians with puzzled looks, many puzzled Politicians were also imprisoned by this Soul Devourer.

This made him furious, Kuyi Tulan had actually used his hand to remove many Politicians.

This is simply outrageous!

He must show Kuyi Tulan what he’s capable of.

However, the entire palace is now under Kuyi Tulan’s control, what would the outside be like?

If the outside is also under Kuyi Tulan’s control, does the kingdom still have hope?

He doesn’t know, but he urgently wants to find out.

Harry Kayne wants to summon the Scholars at the front of the palace; they will quickly present all recent happenings to him, whether important or not, which he really likes; he likes people who summarize complex content for him without making choices for him.

The right to choose is his, not someone else’s. Others only need to organize things for him.

But now he knows he cannot summon these Scholars, because he’s under Kuyi Tulan’s surveillance.

These League Guards would report to Kuyi Tulan.

A counterattack must be carried out, but definitely not now; now, he must clarify the situation.

Recognizing reality is the most important thing now.

Harry Kayne knows he must pretend to be the Soul Devourer, and according to the Soul Devourer’s memories, he must maintain a dazed look. Meanwhile, he must investigate the entire palace to transmit information out.

However, to whom, this has become a major issue.

He knows whom to trust, but he can’t confirm whether Kuyi Tulan has targeted these people.

Blood is thicker than water; his siblings naturally came to mind first.

Juliette is in Xinbal, but Xinbal doesn’t have a place guaranteed to be safe; he believes Kuyi Tulan must have control over many places.

He wants to send a message to Juliette, but he’s still uncertain.

Firstly, he fears Kuyi Tulan has already targeted Juliette, and Juliette is now pregnant; he doesn’t want to alarm his sister.

He has an elder brother, Charles...

In the eyes of outsiders, this Charles is just a carefree, unambitious guy, a nothingness-loving aristocrat, but he knows what kind of person his brother is. Charles gave up vying for the crown because Charles knows he’s not suitable to play an instructive role.

Charles is a kind person, not good at commanding others, unable to be a leader.

His brother has never been someone who only cares about his own pleasure; he is someone who sees the truth clearly and recognizes reality.

In the entire Kayne Royal Family, only his brother is the most astute.

It’s just that Charles is too kind, not fitting to be a leader in times of crisis.

Kind people are easily indecisive, and if a leader constantly appears hesitant, it will only reveal weaknesses...

Charles knows his own strengths and weaknesses, telling his father that although he is the eldest son, he is still unable to lead the entire Kayne Empire against the invading forces; the crown should go to Harry.

Charles hopes to go to Burstan, a free land where no one wants to inquire. He hopes to discover something new there.

Charles, Burstan... Harry Kayne seems to have thought of something.

He feels he must transmit his information, and Charles appears to be the most suitable person.

Kuyi Tulan’s actions shouldn’t reach so far; a place like Burstan wouldn’t allow those from the Alchemy Workshop to easily set foot.

After all, it’s the place where the Dark Cabinet is located; the world knows about their past conflicts with the Alchemy Workshop.

Kuyi Tulan’s actions now can only be commanded through the Alchemy Workshop or his orders.

And he didn’t find any fragments related to this in the Soul Devourer’s memory.

Therefore, he feels, Charles’ place should be relatively safe.

Harry Kayne now understands the reality; he cannot casually reveal that he’s reclaimed his body; he must continue to maintain the previous appearance. On the surface, that’s the case, but in fact, he is already beginning his plans.
