One-Eyed Monster

This burst of laughter made Igor and Kadi very annoyed.

However, they couldn’t do anything about the laughter, as after all, the mouths belong to others, and they had no control over them.

”What do you mean by this laughter!” Kadi asked, confused. He felt that this mockery was a very disrespectful behavior.

”Why do you think this isn’t a misunderstanding? Give me a reason!” Igor was also confused, but compared to Kadi’s anger, he wanted to know the reason more.

Will Kangen raised his hand and made a downward gesture. Once the gesture was made, the entire Kangen family quieted down, showing that the Kangen family cared about the words of their patriarch.

”I have the same question to ask you. Why do you think this is a misunderstanding?”

This question was asked at the perfect time, questioning Igor in Igor’s own way.

Igor furrowed his brows, unsure of how to answer. In his mind, he had formed a fixed pattern believing this was a misunderstanding.

”You took my friends away for no reason, isn’t that a misunderstanding!”

Faced with such a reasonable response, Will Kangen wasn’t too surprised. This is a young man who was a bit dazed after seeing his friend taken away, and he wouldn’t be surprised at any reaction.

”How do you know we took your friends away for no reason?”

Faced with Will Kangen’s repeated questioning, Igor and Kadi grew a bit impatient.

”Weren’t you just taking people away for no reason!” Kadi bluntly asked, not as polite as Igor.

”Exactly, your actions are no different from a bunch of bandits.” Igor was also angry.

Will Kangen seemed pleased with the attitude of the two young men, but he didn’t show it on his face. As the patriarch of the Kangen family, he had to be measured in everything he did, for he represented not just himself, but the entire Kangen family.

The family now wanted to test these two young men, although the recent fight had already proven their strength, but Will Kangen was unaware of the entire process. Their family valued character, with strength being just another standard for judgment.

To force their head housekeeper to advance to wizard robe level, that strength should suffice. Will Kangen didn’t realize it was actually the result of the blue flame from Kadi. Like Patrick before, he thought the blue flame was summoned by the two boys.

”You must understand, this man here, named Coban Kangen, is part of our Kangen family!”

Will Kangen pointed at Coban Kangen, speaking with a hint of authority.

”We know he belongs to your family, but that doesn’t justify taking people arbitrarily.” Igor immediately spoke, displeased with the Kangen family’s way of capturing people.

”We have the right to do anything with our clan members!” Will Kangen looked at Igor with a serious expression, at this moment his wizard robe again turned into blue and white stripes.

This guy is a stripe fanatic, Kadi thought dazedly. Kadi’s attention had already shifted away from the original matter, starting to focus on the wizard robes.

”You can’t just rudely take people away either!” Igor was still very dissatisfied with the method of the Kangen family.

”When dealing with criminals of our family, we have the right to choose a rude method.” Will Kangen walked back and forth with his hands behind his back, at this moment the robe again turned into yellow and red stripes.

This guy is really a stripe fanatic, liking stripe patterns so much! Kadi’s mind was filled with the color changes on those wizard robes.

”No matter what you say, your actions are really despicable. He is our friend, how can you just take our friend away like that, don’t you think your actions are shameless!” Igor was somewhat confrontational, in his eyes, Coban Kangen was an innocent person.

”Shameless? We took away a criminal among our clan members without disturbing you, without interfering with you, is this considered shameless?”

Will Kangen turned his head and looked at Igor with a puzzled expression, then continued speaking in his deep voice.

”We could have taken you along as well, since you are strangers and stayed with our clan’s criminal, but we didn’t, because that would make us impolite and unable to treat outside guests with courtesy.”

”We could have driven you out of Bayes Avenue, but we didn’t do that either, because you didn’t do anything out of line, so we couldn’t rudely drive you away.”

”We could have blatantly taken the criminal in front of you, but we still didn’t because we were afraid of affecting you!”

”We’ve done so much, is it still disgusting, shameless?”

A string of statements left Igor feeling confused, he felt the patriarch was a bit argumentative.

”No matter what you say, to me, you’ve taken my friend.” Igor said lightly, his tone calm, without a trace of hesitation.

”Your friend is a criminal of our family!” Will Kangen said.

”I don’t know what kind of rules your family has, but to me, Coban Kangen is an upright person, a loyal person, someone trustworthy, and a very good friend.” Igor continued.

Kadi at this point also snapped out from studying the stripes on Will Kangen’s robe, hurriedly echoed with Igor: ”Coban is a good person, not a criminal!”

”He is a criminal of our family, and we have the right to deal with him.” Will Kangen repeated the sentence.

”I don’t care what kind of rules your family uses to judge a person’s crimes, to me, Coban Kangen is not a criminal, he is my friend.”

”Your tone seems to want to determine the belonging of Coban Kangen?” Will Kangen said lightly.

”I want you to release him!” Igor stated firmly.

”Do you think, why should we listen to you?” Will Kangen spread his hands, implying it clearly that there are so many people in their family, what qualifications you have to command us.

”No, you’re mistaken, I am not asking you to listen to us.” Igor shook his head.

”Oh? Then what do you mean!”

”Humph, our meaning is, we are not here to negotiate with you, we are directly taking Coban Kangen away, you stripe fanatic!” Kadi flipped his Butterfly Dual Blades, ready for battle at any time.

”For Coban Kangen, you’re willing to go against our entire Kangen family?” Will Kangen was quite surprised.

”If you think Coban is a criminal, then we have reason to believe your Kangen family is nothing more than a family of twist-the-facts bastards. Such family, we are certainly hitting down! Hence, confrontation, suits me perfectly!”

Igor spoke with resounding passion, no matter how strong the enemy on the opposite side was, he would not fear!

Will Kangen’s eyes lit up, he looked deeply at Igor and Kadi who were prepared to fight at any moment.

”Tsk tsk, really extraordinary, Coban huh, you have made remarkable friends!”
