One-Eyed Monster

Igor’s words made Kadi return to his previous state once again.

It’s not that Igor’s words were full of wisdom; rather, such examples were simple and straightforward enough to quickly calm Kadi. Even if there were wise words, it wouldn’t necessarily convince someone like Kadi.

Where he came from and what he used to be might be important, but maintaining his current state is also something Kadi values greatly. He will not change his demeanor just because he’s from a group of villains, even though he feels a bit unwilling about it.

Kadi mused why he was destined to come from that sinister group, considering he was a Righteous People and held a deep hatred for those Evil Force.

However, now upon closer reflection, he found a certain analysis was not without reason.

Guru Mountain indeed was the origin of all secrets, and after its secrets were exposed, other places began to change slowly too.

The Blue Flame within him also seemed to be the case—causing turmoil upon its appearance. If it had nothing to do with him, he himself wouldn’t believe it.

No, to be precise, it’s related to some things hidden within him rather than himself.

”Kadi, you can now suppress that flame, but I think you should go further. If you can control this flame, we could achieve twice the result with half the effort.” Igor said once more, as he was obsessed with the whole matter...

”What does that mean, ’twice the result with half the effort’?” Kadi asked blankly, feeling Igor was somewhat excited now, with a particularly vivid imagination.

”Of course, it’s about uncovering the enemy’s secrets!” Igor said, indeed excited, as that blank paper unfolded before him was now filled with drawings. Those colors and lines seemed to come to life, climbing onto the paper and dancing, presenting everything to Igor.

”We cannot be reckless!” Will Kangen promptly said, as the family head, he’s very cautious, ”some things must be handled carefully, the Blue Flame cannot be summoned lightly, as the power of the advanced sacred robe isn’t always available!”

Igor’s few words made Will Kangen guess his intention, demonstrating Will Kangen’s impressive insight.

Why did Igor say twice the result with half the effort? In fact, he just wanted to use Kadi’s Blue Flame to lure the enemy out.

But he didn’t consider the danger; he didn’t consider the enemy’s unpredictability.

This was a manifestation of youthful impulsiveness.

As the elders, Will Kangen and the others felt they needed to remind these youngsters not to act so impulsively.

”Um, I mean when the time is right...” Igor also realized his rash decision.

Kadi was still in a daze, feeling he had missed something, unable to understand the conversation of these people for a moment.

”What exactly are you talking about!” This was the sentence Kadi had recently said the most, although he himself didn’t want to say it.

Facing Kadi’s confusion, the people in the small room didn’t hide much; they told Kadi the truth about the matter.

Though Igor’s plan was bold, it indeed had allure. Even the cautious old family leaders paid great attention to Igor’s plan.

”So that’s what you guys meant by fishing, and I’m the bait, right.” Kadi suddenly became clever.

This fishing metaphor was quite straightforward, making it easy to understand.

”I think this method is feasible.” Igor scratched his head and continued, always feeling he wasn’t acting on impulse, as Kadi was a major secret surely eyed by those hidden enemies.

”The plan is indeed interesting, but I think we should be cautious because Kadi is a scarce resource for us, his involvement changes the whole situation.” Coban Kangen said.

”Actually, I think it’s fine for me to be the bait, but your plan is too complicated.” Kadi spoke up, quite in favor of Igor’s suggestion.

”So, do you have a good suggestion!” Igor asked Kadi in return, thinking since Kadi found their plan too complicated, he might have a better plan himself.

”I’m not someone who is good at thinking, you know, thinking is a bit challenging for me.”

”So you’re saying you don’t have a good plan then.” Igor mocked, quite disdainful of Kadi’s behavior, pretending to be profound when he actually had nothing substantial to offer.

”I am self-aware, and I won’t do things I’m not good at.” Kadi didn’t care about Igor’s mockery and continued.

”You’re doing something you’re not good at, interrupting others without a plan.” Igor was resentful of Kadi’s approach.

The others were quite interested in what Kadi would say next, as he had become the center of attention.

”I suggest leaving such matters to those who are skilled at them; when I was on Guru Mountain, Xiso was known as the brain of the entire mountain. I believe handing plans to Xiso isn’t a problem!”

As soon as Kadi mentioned it, Igor suddenly remembered that Xiso should also be in the Kangen Family.

”Of course, there is a small personal request involved here—I want to see Xiso and find out how he’s doing.”

After Kadi finished speaking, he looked expectantly at the two family heads, knowing though he was a bit reckless, he knew who held the power in the Kangen Family.

The new and old clan leaders glanced at each other and then shook their heads.

”What happened? Kadi’s request isn’t too much, is it?” Igor asked puzzledly.

”Not at all, it’s just that we’re currently unaware of how Bigas and the others are doing.”

”What do you mean!” Kadi and Igor were shocked. Weren’t they saying Xiso and Bigas’s story shook the entire Empire? How come the protagonists of such a legendary tale were now missing?

”I previously mentioned Xiso and Bigas are from our family...” Coban Kangen hesitated.

”No matter what they are, you should have their whereabouts then!” Igor said outright, not caring if Xiso and Bigas brought disgrace to the Kangen Family.

”Bigas is my daughter; although I have always opposed their relationship, I still care for them. But now...” Pete Kangen was silent as well.

”What really happened!” Igor was getting anxious.

The fate of Xiso was what Igor and Kadi were most concerned about now, as Xiso was also part of Guru Mountain, considered family to them.
