One-Eyed Monster

The sense of responsibility suddenly descended upon Igor, unconsciously, without any warning.

This feeling made Igor feel very heavy, but he couldn’t avoid it, because it was formed by the expectant eyes of everyone. Although this burden was a bit heavy, he still had to shoulder it.

”The purpose of our coming here...”

”Your purpose can wait to be discussed later, there is still one thing you need to do.” Will Kangen suddenly interrupted Igor’s narration, the light in his eyes carrying a sense of oppression.

This also surprised Coban Kangen a bit. Wasn’t the test already over? Why did the Young Family Leader abruptly interrupt Igor’s words!

Could there be something else that needs to be explained?

Everyone looked towards Will Kangen in unison, wanting to know what exactly this Young Family Leader was hiding in his bag.

”This matter may not be significant to you, but it is of great importance to the Kangen Family, especially to Patrick the Housekeeper!”

With these words, Igor and Kadi both looked towards the head housekeeper of the Kangen Family. This head housekeeper exerted himself to attack them even when exhausted, he definitely had some misunderstanding about them...

Thinking about this misunderstanding made Igor recall their previous conversation, and he couldn’t help but begin to doubt whether what he had previously assumed was correct.

”Just say what you want us to do.” Kadi leaned back with his hands behind his head, indifferent to what Will Kangen said.

”You need to apologize to Patrick.” Will Kangen said word by word.

”Why should we apologize!” Kadi was very puzzled, wasn’t this absurd, apologize, for what?

Will Kangen did not lose his dignity due to Kadi’s tough attitude, he maintained his state, gentle yet serious.

”Your rude behavior disturbed this housekeeper. Although you might have done it unintentionally, regardless of the reason, you need to provide him with an explanation.”

”Absurd!” Kadi was somewhat displeased, ”Where were we rude?”

”I think you are being rude now.” Igor took over Kadi’s words.

Kadi looked at Igor with confusion.

”You’re talking to the leader of the Kangen family, how can you be shouting like that?” Igor shrugged, expressing a kind of helplessness at Kadi’s behavior.

”You’re right, I was rude, but I still don’t understand what he’s talking about, where did we have any excessive behavior?” Kadi was still defending himself.

For this, Igor had no idea either. He scratched his head and looked at Coban Kangen.

”Well...” Coban Kangen turned his head to look at Young Family Leader Will...

”Let Patrick speak for himself!” Will Kangen finally gave the right to speak to the head housekeeper.

”You... you... kicked open the main gate of our Kangen Family!” Patrick spat out these words with difficulty, clearly exhausted. Progressing to the rank of Sacred Robe was indeed a very physically draining thing.

Talking about the gate-kicking, Igor and Kadi then remembered that they had done so previously.

Now they felt ashamed; previously kicking the door was indeed a bit impolite, but they had no choice, otherwise, they couldn’t have entered!

But regardless, the matter had already happened, they both admitted this impolite behavior honestly.

”Sorry!” Kadi and Igor bowed to Patrick, ”We really didn’t mean to kick the door!”

A look of relief appeared on Patrick’s face, finally, this knot in his heart was over.

”Hmm, this is how righteous people should be.” Will Kangen said, as he also bowed to Igor and Kadi, ”On behalf of the entire Kangen Family, I apologize to you. Our test was too sudden, and it caused you grievances!”

Will Kangen’s apology made Igor and the others feel flattered and they didn’t know what to do for a while.

”Alright, our test has ended, now you should talk about your main matter, but before that, you need to accompany me to visit the old Family Leader.”

After speaking, Will Kangen directly walked forward.

Igor and Kadi stood stunned in place, not knowing what to do.

”Come on, still standing there foolishly, did you think anyone could easily meet the old Family Leader!” Coban Kangen patted Igor’s shoulder as a reminder.

”But, you...”

”Stop with the ’you, you, me, me’, quick follow the Young Family Leader’s footsteps, I don’t have the qualification to go with you...”

”Coban, you join us too, your current status is as a messenger of Bistal!” came the message from Will Kangen in the front.

This made Coban Kangen feel very awkward! Initially, he thought he couldn’t visit the old Family Leader, but he could now do so with the status of a Bistal messenger.

Thus, Coban Kangen led Igor and Kadi straight towards the depths of the courtyard.

In front of a dilapidated log cabin deep in the courtyard, Will Kangen stopped his steps.

”Uncle Pete!” Will Kangen didn’t knock on the door, instead, he directly greeted the cabin.

”You have arrived?” a deep voice answered from within the log cabin.

”Yes, we have arrived, Coban, and the two little friends have come too.” Will Kangen replied.

”Since you young ones have already decided, why bother this old man of mine!” the deep voice inside seemed somewhat dissatisfied with Will Kangen’s decision.

”Uncle Pete, you are an elder, it is right for the juniors to listen to your teachings before traveling!” Will Kangen responded respectfully, regardless of what attitude the voice inside displayed, he answered very politely.

”What elder, not elder, I am just an old man who made mistakes. The world of the young, I can no longer understand.”

The one inside the cabin was Pete Kangen, once the leader of the Kangen Family, and also Bigas’ father.

”Uncle Pete, many matters are for us juniors to handle, but we juniors still have much to ask for advice before departing.” Will Kangen said slowly, though he was now the leader, there were still many secrets not revealed to him.

”The door’s not locked, come in then.” Pete Kangen no longer refused the visitors, ”I anticipated that my solitary meditation plan would be delayed.”

With a creaking sound, the door of the log cabin was opened by the stripes on the Sacred Robe worn by Will Kangen.

This scene also astounded Kadi, he became mesmerized by these stripes.

”Uncle Pete, you should also know why they are here, and you should have sensed what happened outside just now, this emerging power, it’s unknown to us, as described by Lord Popovich.”

”I know.” Pete Kangen looked at the incoming people and said calmly, ”But many things are not as you imagine, some secrets remain secrets because we knew nothing about them at the time.”

Though Pete Kangen’s words were brief, they carried significant weight. This contained a huge amount of information.
