One-Eyed Monster

Stanley knows that the Beast Rush attack only buys him a little bit of time; he needs to control the boy.

In his eyes, the Hunter is the pinnacle of the Hunter’s realm. He must fully control this boy named Igor to solve the issue.

Control is his forte, a skill that once earned him the title of fearsome Animal Trainer on this land.

During several wars, he played a crucial role from the shadows. He was never a hero, nor was he a good person. Anytime, he could become someone else’s control, anyone could be sacrificed for him. That’s why he was abandoned, a loner among beasts. In his eyes, everything was a beast. Only those stronger than him could command him to act...

For years, he always wanted to control the things in the Eternal Tranquility Realm, because he believed that only then could he transcend life and death.

He wanted to transcend life and death, but fate could not be controlled by him. His life ended under the sword, his rotten flesh was abandoned in the wilderness. Those beasts he once controlled came to feast on his flesh and gnaw his bones...

Upon awakening, he was dazed, thinking he had been reborn, only to realize he was controlled.

A person always wanting to control everything ended up being controlled by others, truly a story of irony.

Igor’s Meteor Sword erupted with astonishing energy, the beasts and elites under control were jolted away from their original path by his Sword Qi, a momentum enough to awe anyone.

However, Stanley is among the top five in the circus’s power ranks, being seen as a unique reborn person. In the circus, only Master Clown is the rebirth’s representative, while the other masters achieved their Spirit Core through acquired efforts.

Stanley can indeed be considered a veteran figure in the circus organization.

Seeing the boy in front effortlessly destroying the beasts he controlled, Stanley sighed, thankful his Control Spell was ready. As long as the boy kept breathing, he would be controlled by him.

”Your Beast Rush is pitifully weak!” Igor slowly approached Stanley. The melee earlier had drained some of his energy, but the consumption of Spirit Power was minimal.

”In the end, you have to breathe, you need these scents!” Stanley ignored Igor and proceeded to unfold his Control Spell.

This toxin is colorless and tasteless; inhaling it mitigates one’s Spirit Sensing, making the absorber unable to use Spirit Power again. Then he can easily control it, but the strong toxin can barely achieve a paralyzing effect.”

”Being able to sense this toxin is quite impressive. I just intend to use this toxin to incapacitate you, not necessarily knock you down!” Stanley remarked calmly. In serious battles, he wouldn’t talk excessively since he must focus, leaving no room for boasting.

Igor took two steps and suddenly discovered his Spirit Sensing Ability was affected, stupefied by the bizarre paralyzing effect of the toxin.

”Olfaction is also a form of Spirit Sensing. You surely don’t know how my toxin has incapacitated your sensing skill.” Stanley spoke smoothly, ”Next, you will become one of my controlled beasts...”

Igor said nothing, concentrating his energy, determined to break free from anything restraining him.

”Don’t make pointless struggles!” Stanley warned Igor again. Suddenly, many lines appeared in his hand, conjured from Spirit Power, a second step in control: binding and subduing!

Igor realized he’d exert effort ahead since Stanley’s technique was peculiar, entirely different from previous elites. His eyes reddened, showcasing the slaughterer’s identity within him.

All can be cut!

The slaughterer’s voice echoed in his mind, he saw everything, including the colorless, tasteless toxin.

He aimed to cut these toxins!

”What you’ve said isn’t wrong; who you are doesn’t matter, you will ultimately become one of my beasts!” Animal Trainer Stanley’s Spirit Power cords tackled all of Igor’s junctions. The next step was imprinting.

Once these imprints were instilled into Igor’s core, everything would become simple and effortless.

Igor couldn’t move... his sword trembled with his body!

”Stop struggling; it’s useless. As long as you breathe, you’ll suffer my incapacitation!” Stanley felt the situation was under control, ready to flaunt his skills again, thus spilling his entire information incrementally.

Igor shook violently, resisting. His sword rebelled against him due to loss of bodily control.

Though his body was uncontrolled, his spirit remained unshaken; he could hear his sword quivering.

Whimpering— That’s the Sword Spirit’s call!

”Meteor!” Igor shouted furiously, his eyes emitting a glow enough to destroy any obstructing force completely.

Whimper! The sword abruptly grew a pair of wings, freed from Igor’s grip, hovering midair with thunderous clamor.

”Cut!” Igor commanded.

The Meteor Sword vanished like a streak, leaving only a dazzling trace.

Stanley was stunned, never encountering such resistance.

The boy commanded the Sword Spirit to strike him!

Blood spurted from Igor—it was black, carrying a foul odor!

”All can be cut, even your toxin is no exception!” At this moment, Igor regripped the Meteor Sword, gradually closing in on Stanley.

Impossible! Stanley panicked, dodging Igor’s slash, unable to trust what unfolded before him.

No one had ever broken free from his control; no one had ever deciphered his toxin!

Yet this boy severed his toxin, an incredible feat! How is this possible?

Igor pressed on steadily, Stanley retreated step by step, never forgetting the Hunter’s evasive skills, making injuring him swiftly indeed challenging!

”Who exactly are you?” Stanley questioned this tedious query again.

”Who I am doesn’t matter; opposing you will always be the Resistor. I am the Resistor!” Igor slashed fiercely!
