Chapter 26: MSOC: Chapter 26

”Ao, where’s Kai?” Minato asked urgently.

At first, he had doubted Kai’s talent for learning jutsu.

But the talent he had shown was not just the ability to instantly learn the Rasengan.

He had not only taken the shape transformation to the next level, but he had also incorporated attribute changes!

If someone had seen this with their own eyes, Minato wouldn’t have believed it.

”Minato-sama, Kai is resting in the cave,” Uzuki Ao was stunned.

When had he ever seen Minato Namikaze, who was considered the most likely candidate to become the Fourth Hokage, lose his composure like this?

”I’ll be back soon,” Minato said, instantly using the Flying Thunder God Technique and disappearing.

Inside the cave, Kai had just stretched when his expression turned serious. He slightly bent his right hand, chakra poured in, and instantly condensed into a Rasengan.

Without any fancy moves, he slammed it behind him.

As soon as Minato appeared, he saw the Rasengan rapidly enlarging in his pupils. His expression changed, and he quickly performed a space-time jump again, appearing eight meters away.

”I didn’t expect you to leave so many Flying Thunder God seals,” Kai dissipated the Rasengan in his hand.

Minato smiled wryly. ”You’re really a freak, kid. Not only did you learn the Rasengan, but you also took the shape transformation to the next level. You even incorporated attribute changes.”

”Want to learn?” Kai smiled playfully.

Minato shook his head. ”Forget it. I’ve been working on it for so long and still haven’t been able to refine the Rasengan to its ultimate form. It seems it’s more suited for you.”

”But I know some basic jutsu. Do you want to learn them?”

Kai didn’t refuse this suggestion. Since he couldn’t learn the Flying Thunder God Technique for now, mastering other jutsu wouldn’t be a bad thing.

Three days passed in a flash.

”Wind Release: Great Breakthrough!”

The Wind Release chakra in Kai’s mouth suddenly expanded, and in the next moment, it gushed out.

The hurricane surged like a tide, transforming into blades of wind, accompanied by a sharp, cutting sound. In the blink of an eye, it instantly cut down the trees in its path.

It cleared the entire forest in front of him.

”Freak, you learned Wind Release so quickly,” Minato shook his head helplessly.

Back in the day, it took him three years to learn this jutsu.

Now, Kai had only taken half a day.

This was simply astounding.

Of course, this half a day was deliberately created by Kai.

Otherwise, if Minato knew that he had only taken a moment to max level this jutsu, he would probably have been shocked speechless.

”Ding, detected Wind Release chakra attribute in host. Do you want to max level it?”

”Yes!” Kai immediately gave the order.

In the past three days, besides learning some basic jutsu, he had also studied various attribute changes.

Besides Wind Release, there was also Fire Release and Water Release.

Kai had already developed all kinds of Rasengan.

But to avoid being too shocking, Kai didn’t reveal them.

”Congratulations, host, you have maxed out your Wind Release chakra attribute changes.”

”Congratulations, host, you have activated Wind Release: Rasengan Shuriken at max level.”

Hearing the familiar system prompts, Kai smiled knowingly.

”Kai, Minato-sama, Konoha’s reinforcements have arrived,” Uzuki Yūgao glanced at Kai.

There was a hint of worry in her eyes.

”Konoha’s reinforcements?” Kai smiled warmly. ”Did they specifically ask to see me?”

”It seems they’re not here to make friends.”

Minato’s expression changed slightly.

He had stayed here for three days because he had received the mission to guard the stronghold.

Originally, after discovering Kai, he could have left early.

But he decided to stay because of Kai.

”Kai, if anything happens, I’ll step in,” Minato reminded him.

Minato didn’t dare to gamble on whether the Konoha higher-ups’ ambiguous actions would change because of Kai’s appearance.

After witnessing Kai’s incredible learning ability, Minato had attributed it to his special Sharingan, which had powerful jutsu copying and extension abilities.

He had secretly reported this to the Third Hokage three days ago.

Now that Konoha’s reinforcements had arrived, Minato hoped that they represented the Third Hokage’s will.

Inside the cave, Gekko Yoru, Uchiha Fugaku, and an Anbu ninja with a mask, along with 50 Konoha ninjas, arrived.

After Minato sent the intelligence back, the Third Hokage immediately issued an emergency summons, recalling Gekko Yoru, one of the Eight Colors of Konoha.

He also summoned Uchiha Fugaku, who was originally in charge of the Konoha Guard Captain’s duties.

The Third Hokage’s purpose was simple. Since Uchiha Kai had awakened a special Sharingan, only Uchiha Fugaku, the current head of the Uchiha clan, had the qualifications to check it out.

He would also understand the mystery of the Sharingan.

But even though this was done very discreetly, the large-scale deployment of troops, and the fact that the stronghold hadn’t been breached, meant that Danzo, who was leading his own forces, also learned about it.

He immediately intervened and sent Root ninjas.

He claimed to be helping to guard the stronghold, but his true intentions were unknown.

”Uzuki Ao, where’s Kai? Why isn’t he here?” The Root ninja suddenly asked.

Uchiha Fugaku’s expression froze. ”Someone has already gone to tell him. I heard he’s with Minato. Let’s wait a little longer.”

As the captain of the Konoha Guard, Uchiha Fugaku had some authority.

However, outside the Uchiha clan, this authority wasn’t taken very seriously.

At least, the Root Anbu under Danzo’s command had always been hostile towards the Uchiha clan.

”Humph, Uchiha Kai’s purpose and identity are unclear. Besides, this stronghold is extremely important. He left the stronghold without permission. He’s putting Konoha’s safety at risk and neglecting his duties.”

The Root ninja snorted coldly. ”What if he has some ulterior motive? What if he takes Konoha’s important intelligence and defects to the enemy?”

The ninjas present’s expressions changed.

For a village, loyalty was the most important thing.

Whether it was the Second Hokage or the current high-ranking officials like Danzo, they had always viewed the Uchiha clan as a rebellious force.

It was for this reason that they had always ostracized the Uchiha clan and moved their gathering place to the edge of Konoha.

They were trying to prevent the Uchiha clan from rebelling.
