Chapter 7: MSOC: Chapter 7

His quiet voice, at this moment, was like a hurricane sweeping through the entire area.

Arrogant and overbearing?

Or just babbling nonsense?

In the eyes of the Cloud ninjas, and even the Konoha ninjas, it was undoubtedly the latter.

The current situation, in terms of both numbers and strength, was a complete ”fish in a barrel” scenario.

Yet, Kai was making such bold claims. This was nothing short of contempt for the Cloud ninjas.

”He’s just a clueless kid. Today, we’ll see how you kill us.”

”Humph, kill him first. Let him learn what a true power gap is.”

”A Chunin’s first priority on the battlefield is to assess the power gap and learn how to survive!”

”Kill him!”

One Cloud ninja roared, drawing a kunai from his back and charging forward.

The squad behind him moved instantly.

In an instant, seven or eight people rushed towards Kai at breakneck speed.

”Kai, be careful!” Shizune was anxious.

But Uzuki Ao beside her, his pupils suddenly contracted.

Kai, facing the seven approaching figures, didn’t even think about dodging. His hands flew, forming a series of hand seals with astonishing speed.

”Uzuki, that looks like your Lightning Release: Thunderclap!” Inuzuka Haka exclaimed.

”Is he crazy? Trying to use Thunderclap at a time like this?” Uzuki Ao was anxious and was about to jump in to help.

Boom!

A low rumble of thunder echoed through the sky.

Kai’s hand seals stopped abruptly.

”Lightning Release: Thunderclap!”

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Seven bolts of lightning suddenly lit up in the sky.

In the next moment, they struck the seven Cloud ninjas who had appeared about ten meters away from Kai, with incredible speed.

The speed and number of the lightning bolts were simply too fast for anyone to react.

Boom!

The seven Cloud ninjas were engulfed in the lightning.

The violent destructive force made the ground unable to bear the weight, and it cracked open.

The pale blue lightning illuminated the entire canyon.

The billowing dust and flying rocks made everyone’s hearts clench.

When everything settled, the crater created by the lightning was a full eight meters wide. Every Cloud ninja was covered in blood, and some had lost limbs.

They were clearly dead.

”What, what kind of jutsu is that?”

”That looks like the A-rank Thunderclap. Even some skilled Jonin can only control three bolts of lightning. How did he, a Chunin, accurately kill seven people instantly?”

”This kid is strange. Scatter, don’t let him succeed again.”

The scene became chaotic.

A moment ago, they had completely disregarded Kai, believing that a mere Chunin couldn’t pose a threat to them.

But now, Kai had killed seven people with one move.

The situation was completely different.

However, compared to the Cloud ninjas, the Konoha ninjas were even more shocked.

They knew that Kai had only started learning Thunderclap three days ago.

Now, not only had he mastered this A-rank jutsu, but he had gone beyond proficiency.

He must have grasped the essence of the jutsu to be able to instantly release seven bolts of lightning.

A, standing on top of the hill, his eyes flickered, ”Don’t panic. He’s just an unknown Chunin. Maybe he has some talent in Lightning Release and has grasped the essence of this jutsu.”

”Sato, you’re proficient in Lightning Release: Body Flicker. Go bring him back.”

The Cloud ninja, who had been guarding A, nodded and stepped forward.

But his feet quickly froze in mid-air.

A wave of intense heat blew towards him.

Kai’s flying hands suddenly stopped, and the moment his fiery chakra burst forth, it transformed into a fireball about twenty to thirty meters wide.

It crushed down from the sky!

”What, what is going on?”

”Am I dreaming? Is this still Great Fireball Jutsu?”

”Pshh!”

The air seemed to be pierced, and the distance of hundreds of meters was bridged in the blink of an eye.

Anything in its path, whether rock or tree, instantly burst into flames.

Sato, who had taken a step forward, turned pale and quickly retreated.

Even A and Killer Bee, their nerves tightened, instinctively dodged the attack.

The Great Fireball, however, missed its target at the last moment.

No!

It should be said that the angle was clearly off. It was a 45-degree angle, shooting straight up into the sky.

Boom!

The fireball, tens of meters wide, shattered in mid-air.

Flames danced across the sky, illuminating half the heavens.

The scattered sparks were like a breathtaking firework display.

Everyone present was stunned, especially the Cloud ninjas who had been scared out of their wits and had run for their lives.

They looked at the deep trench created by the massive fireball, and the trees still burning around them, their faces filled with bewilderment. They couldn’t react.

Whether it was the Lightning Release: Thunderclap just now.

Or the Great Fireball now.

What power!

He had almost turned a low-level jutsu into an S-rank jutsu.

Thinking about being hit by a fireball tens of meters wide, they would have been instantly vaporized.

”Humph, a blustering brat. I thought you had some skills. It seems your chakra is just too large, causing the jutsu to mutate,” A snorted coldly.

In this situation where victory was inevitable, his Cloud ninjas had made fools of themselves one after another, so he had to save face.

Looking at Kai, who remained calm, A said disdainfully, ”Unfortunately, blindly pursuing power is your biggest weakness.”

”A jutsu that can’t even hit its target, no matter how powerful it is, will be like the fireworks just now, all flash and no substance.”

The commotion among the Cloud ninjas gradually subsided.

”A-sama is right. We shouldn’t panic.”

”Someone who can’t even control his jutsu properly can’t defeat us Cloud ninjas.”

”Besides, he’s used two jutsu that focus solely on power. His chakra must be running low. I think he can only use one more jutsu at most.”

”As long as we withstand this attack, we can take him down. It’s no problem.”

The Cloud ninjas’ eyes lit up, and they looked at Kai with a predatory gaze.

”That last attack was a pity. It missed, otherwise, the Cloud ninjas would have suffered heavy casualties.”

”I never thought Kai was hiding so much. He can use ordinary jutsu to such a degree.”

”Uzuki, what do we do now? Kai clearly has special talent. Besides his powerful genjutsu, he also grasped the essence of Lightning Release and Fire Release so easily. If we let the Third Hokage train him personally, Konohagakure will definitely have a powerful new force in the future.”

The Konoha ninjas were all chattering.

Even Uzuki Ao’s heart was moved by the last statement.

After experiencing the protracted battles on the three fronts, he knew very well that the impact of a genius’s strength on the battlefield was immense.

For example, the legendary Yellow Flash, Minato Namikaze, was the perfect example.

If Uchiha Kai could grow to that level, he would be a powerful new asset for Konohagakure.
