Chapter 25: MSOC: Chapter 25

”Boom!”

The roar of thunder shook the heavens, a sound that seemed to tear at one’s eardrums.

The blue lightning illuminated the entire world, blinding everyone’s vision.

The violent force of the explosion instantly shattered the water shield wall formed by dozens of Mist ninjas.

Tiny needles of lightning, as thin as hairs, pierced through their bodies.

The powerful voltage, combined with the sharp, destructive force, instantly shredded their entire bodies.

In the next moment, they shattered into a spray of blood mist, merging with the seawater.

Dozens of Mist ninjas turned into blood mist simultaneously. This scene was enough to make anyone’s eyes pop out.

The only thing that made people feel fortunate was that the Lightning Release: Rasengan primarily targeted the Mist ninjas.

Otherwise, even Konoha’s four-sided barrier would have been instantly shattered.

The river water, which had lost its chakra support, could no longer maintain its shape.

In the next moment, it dissipated on the ground and flowed away.

When everything returned to normal, a giant crater, hundreds of meters in diameter, had appeared in the ruins where they had fought the Cloud ninjas.

The edge of the crater was riddled with countless small holes.

These were the puncture marks left by the lightning needles.

Two lightning blades were stuck diagonally in the ruins. As for the Mist ninjas, they had already turned into flesh and blood, washed away by the river.

The Konoha ninjas who witnessed this scene had their jaws drop.

It had only been half a day since the Cloud ninjas attacked.

Last time, he had used one Lightning Release: Kirin to instantly kill over a hundred Cloud ninjas.

Now, facing dozens of Mist ninjas, he had used one Lightning Release: Rasengan to instantly kill them again.

He had effortlessly repelled both attacks.

Was this even a war?

Kai landed in the ruins, looking at the arcs of lightning crackling on the two lightning blades, constantly seeping into the soil. A playful smile appeared on his face.

”Raiga, you’re the only one left. Why are you hiding? Where’s your confidence gone?” Kai said.

A pale hand emerged from the soil in the ruins, grabbing the lightning blade.

Soon, everyone saw Raiga, his clothes tattered and stained with blood.

As soon as he appeared, without any hesitation, he roared with a ferocious expression.

”Damn kid, I’ll fight you to the death!”

The chakra hidden within Raiga’s body poured into the lightning blade recklessly.

He knew that against this young man, whose strength was probably at the Kage level, the only thing he could do was fight his way out.

”Good chakra. I’m running low,” Kai’s smile deepened.

He reached behind him and pulled out Samehada.

Without any fancy moves, he swung it towards Raiga.

Tear!

A sound of cloth tearing echoed. The chakra that was surging wildly within Raiga’s body was instantly devoured by Samehada.

The lightning blade, which had lost its chakra, flickered for a moment before disappearing into the air.

Samehada’s sharp, pointed teeth were like dozens of blades, instantly tearing open Raiga’s chest.

Blood splattered, and the stark white bone was a horrifying sight.

The sudden attack left Raiga dumbfounded.

As one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen, he never expected to die by his own sword.

”You... you’re definitely not just some nobody. Who are you?” Raiga said in a broken voice.

”The one who killed you!” Kai smiled playfully. ”Dead men have no right to know my name.”

You!

Raiga spat out a mouthful of blood and finally died, falling backwards.

As dust swirled, the stunned Konoha ninjas finally came to their senses.

Kai put the lightning blade away. ”I’ll leave this to you guys. If you don’t need me, I’m going back to rest.”

Leaving these words behind, Kai acted as if he had just done something insignificant.

On the other hand, Minato Namikaze, along with Inuzuka Haka and the others, arrived at the location where they had found the Mist ninjas, dozens of kilometers away.

After a long search, they finally encountered a few Mist ninjas.

Pshh!

The kunai in Minato’s hand instantly cut through the last Mist ninja’s throat.

Looking at the Mist ninja who had died, his expression darkened.

”Minato-sama, this is also a Chunin. Based on the traces, there should have been over a hundred Mist ninjas here, but we only encountered eight Chunin,” Inuzuka Haka looked at the dead Mist ninjas on the ground and couldn’t help but feel restless.

”Bad news. This is probably a feint,” Minato’s expression suddenly changed.

Inuzuka Haka was stunned. ”Minato-sama, you mean the Mist ninjas deliberately lured our main force away and sent people to attack the stronghold?”

”But Kai is at the stronghold. We don’t need to worry too much.”

After witnessing the battle against the Cloud ninjas, Inuzuka Haka and the other Konoha ninjas felt a sense of security with Kai.

”No, Kai just fought a big battle. He’s very strong, but I’m still a little worried,” Minato said with a worried expression. ”There’s my Flying Thunder God kunai here. Take it. If something happens, activate it with chakra, and I’ll be there immediately.”

”I’ll go back to the stronghold first and see if the Mist ninjas have made a move.”

Leaving these words behind, Minato instantly vanished into thin air like a ghost.

Using the Flying Thunder God seals he had left along the way, Minato jumped several times before finally appearing at the stronghold.

”Be careful, there’s an enemy attack!” Uzuki Ao shouted urgently.

Kunai instantly whistled towards Minato.

The sudden attack made Minato stunned for a moment, but he vanished into thin air again, appearing beside Uzuki Ao.

He was about to pat Uzuki Ao’s shoulder to reassure him, but the giant crater he saw made his pupils contract suddenly.

The attack missed. Seeing this familiar space-time jutsu, the Konoha ninjas present were stunned.

”It’s Minato-sama!”

Uzuki Ao came to his senses. Looking at Minato, whose face was filled with shock, he said proudly, ”Minato-sama, you missed it again.”

”You had only left for a short time when the Mist ninjas attacked with their troops. There were 40 or 50 of them. The leaders were Fuguki Suikazan and Raiga Kurosuki, two of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen.”

”You didn’t see it. Kai appeared, and one Rasengan sent Fuguki flying.”

”Then, Fuguki got up as if nothing had happened, and Kai hit him with another, even bigger Rasengan and killed him.”

”Then, Raiga had the Mist ninjas change the terrain, and Kai used another Lightning Release Rasengan to blow them all into blood mist.”

Watching Uzuki Ao talk incessantly, his saliva flying everywhere, Uzuki Yūgao glared at him. ”Minato-sama, don’t mind my father’s crude description.”

”Kai only used four moves to deal with the Mist ninjas.”

”From what I understand, the first move was Minato-sama’s Rasengan, the second move was a super-large Rasengan, and the third move was a Rasengan with Lightning Release attribute changes.”

”After Kai used all three moves, only Raiga Kurosuki was left, seriously injured. He was finally killed by Kai using Samehada when he fought back.”

Listening to this explanation, Minato was dumbfounded.

He knew the power of the Rasengan. It was at best an A-rank jutsu.

From his perspective, he had already developed it to its limits.

But he never expected that he had just taught it to someone, and they were already using it in different ways.

Moreover, three Rasengan had solved a war. This was simply astounding.
