Chapter 199: Ethan found a counter attack

Mark was in utter horror now. The boy in front of him was behaving like a lunatic.

His body was super tough which shouldn’t have been possible, and now he came out of his control in under 30 seconds, this also shouldn’t have happened.

He was, after all, a 6-year-old kid. When the situation got out of control for the first time, he started panicking.

Ethan looked at him calmly,

”Your spell is really terrifying, but there is a flaw, you know?”

Mark became angry instantly, shifting from his panicking mode, his Denver family’s top spell was being ridiculed right in front of him.

He roared like a lion.

”Stop talking nonsense. Don’t think you are so superior just because you came out of my spell. I can’t control the spell properly or else someone like you would have been groveling in front of me right now. I’ll challenge you in 1 year later in the semester examination.”

Ethan shook his head. ”You have misunderstood. I meant this spell is flawed. There is no point in mastering it, even deeper mastery wouldn’t bring you any benefit against me.”

Mark wanted to tear this boy apart. No one could badmouth his family. And ”Darkness” was his family’s heritage spell. So everyone who was born with a dark element would become the family’s central nurturing figure.

Mark was even better. He was the son of the current head of the family. His position was super high.

Even though he was extremely angry, he could still think rationally.

This boy had come out of his spell within 30 seconds. So there was a chance he found something against their spell. He didn’t want to believe it but he still asked,

”Okay then, tell me what flaw you have found out?” Mark asked after calming his nerves a little bit.

Ethan said, ”This spell is called darkness right? Its supposed job is to darken all the senses of the enemy right? But do you know one can still think inside the spell?”

Mark looked at him as if he were looking at an idiot.

”Of course one could. The spell was created just to torture your enemy.”

This time Ethan looked at him with disdain,

”Which idiot designed this spell. Didn’t he have the basic idea of how mana manipulation works?”

”Bastard, if you dare to badmouth my family ancestors another time, I swear on my Denver bloodline that I will tear that throat of yours and bathe with your blood.” Mark lost his composure again.

”So scary, I am terrified.” Ethan said with the same disdain in his eyes.

But he said again, ”Seriously bro, do you have the brain on your butt or something? Aren’t you capable of normal conversation? Just listen to me, alright?

First, your spell detaches the person from all his senses and leaves him with the capability of thinking.

When all his senses become dark, your ancestor thought it would make him fall into despair? Which is a childish thought!

What if he doesn’t fall into despair and starts thinking?

All his senses are blocked. No distraction.

In that very moment, he would blend with nature itself.

Mana manipulation would become like breathing for him.”

”Enough with this sage-like behaviour, you bastard. Why don’t you tell me directly?”

Ethan looked at him weirdly, ”I thought you were a genius. Was I wrong?”

He had a thoughtful expression on his face.

”How can you still not understand? Do you think your dark element is superior to other elements?

If a magus could use his willpower and know his internal structures well, know where his nerves are, where his nerve junctions are, how they function.

Then won’t he be able to use his will to pull his own element from outside and resist your dark element?

Will the spell then be able to act like before?

I am telling you the answer. It is a no. The spell will lose its effect instantly.”

The instructors, who were also listening to Ethan’s explanation with great attention, became speechless.

Lucas did not know what to say anymore. He thought this monster might really have found a way to counter the Denver family’s darkness spell. If he really did, he would have instantly gone to battle that John Denver bastard, so he was also listening very carefully lest something be missed out.

But when the explanation was complete, he sighed.

”He is just talking inhuman language again, that’s all. What did I even expect. This spell has been with the Denvers for generations. Of course someone might have thought about it.

But who could implement such an absurd method?

Knowing all one’s nerve synapses to exactly put their own element against the dark element when their senses were lost, and the Denvers wouldn’t just give you all day to think of a solution. They would hack you with their knife.”

Mark also became speechless.

”You are talking nonsense, you bastard. No one alive can do that in 30 seconds. You must have other ways or it was just a fluke. That’s all.”

Ethan’s eyes turned cold. This idiot was badmouthing him too much.

So he created a portal in front of Mark’s face and punched his face while standing where he was.

The two frontal teeth of Mark, which were already about to fall off because of his age, fell down from his mouth.

”You talk too much slang, brat. Now sleep.”

Mark felt his consciousness drowning into darkness and fell on the ground.

Everyone was stunned. What had just happened?

They saw a dark hole appear in front of Mark out of nowhere and Ethan just punched through that hole.

This didn’t make any sense.

Lucas sighed. This time he saw this space elemental spell very closely. It was mind-blowing, this could be very lethal on the battlefield and Ethan seemed he could use it with much greater range and effect, at least from what he saw there.

Lucas said, ”Okay, Ethan is the winner. Now everyone go to your own arenas.”

They came out of their stupor and looked at Ethan with fear, respect, and many other unknown emotions.

Instructor Lucas wasn’t talking bullshit, that boy was super strong.
