Chapter 174: Star Breathing Technique

Three hours later, Ethan got the hang of that spell. He could now make the size of the mana ball as much as he wanted and then release it.

This was the perfect output practice, but he didn’t know if he could control it, compress the mana ball so that it would contain the same amount of mana but the size would be much smaller.

Three hours later he was exhausted. The good thing was that this continuous mana releasing process also made his body somewhat stronger.

He stopped and then remembered that his father was also there. He hurriedly looked at him and saw a calm face could be seen looking at him.

Ethan said, ”Sorry father, I lost the track of time. How long have I been practicing?”

Cadis saw that his son finally stopped. He smiled,

”Three hours.”

Ethan nodded.

”Father, I think I can manage the output of how much I want, but I can’t control it properly. What do I do?”

Cadis puffed up his chest. This brat was finally ready to ask questions.

”It is normal. You just have to practice regularly and try to control it bit by bit.

Now that I have promised you a gift. The gift will be a Knight breathing technique. You don’t have a core, yes, but this breathing technique can still make your body a lot stronger than a normal elemental magus.

You won’t have the same effect as the knights since they have a core for it, but if you practice the technique daily, it will bring you a lot of benefit. Moreover, this is a family inheritance. Every royal direct bloodline can use it.

But they would need to use contribution points or money to get their hands on it, and they would need to be six years old or above.

I am giving it to you with the Emperor authority because I am going to personally train you, so you can practice this technique with ease.”

Ethan felt like he was dreaming. What kind of luck was that? Here he was thinking about how to become a power elemental magus and then use some trick to get a knight breathing technique. Even if he could get one, that would be too low tier.

But now his father was giving it to him for free.

He was super excited.

”Thank you father. Father, may I ask, which level is this breathing technique?”

Cadis wasn’t surprised by the question. On the contrary, he was happy.

He wanted his son to question so that he would not take anything someone gifted him without judgment.

”This is a Platinum Tier breathing technique.”

Cadis was super proud when he said that.

Ethan’s eyes were wide open. That was the highest level he had read about in the books.

The levels of breathing techniques were like this:

No tier

Iron tier

Bronze tier

Silver tier

Gold tier

Diamond tier

Platinum tier

And Ethan would have been happy even if it were a Silver tier, but now he was getting the highest tier breathing technique.

The technique came with its own diagram showing how to circulate mana to get the most efficient result.

This diagram was what decided the level of the technique.

The absorption depended on the level of the core of a knight.

But for elemental magus, they didn’t have a core, so they could absorb mana forcefully and circulate it in their body according to the diagram.

It was very crude but still better than nothing.

The cores of the knights were divided into 10 tiers.

Tier 9 was the worst. It had 9 fractures in it.

And Tier 1 was the best, which had only 1 fracture.

Above that was the flawless core. That was the ultimate core and a myth of legend. Even Victor Frankenstein had a Tier 1 core.

Ethan looked at the core inside his body, and that was a flawless core. He didn’t know if it was a normal core or not, but it didn’t have any fracture on it.

Ethan took the technique, and Cadis said,

”I am going today, I’ll come back tomorrow. You can try to remember this diagram first. Then I’ll help you learn how to absorb mana with your will and practice this breathing technique.”

Ethan nodded, ”Okay father.”

Then Cadis vanished from there.

Ethan wasn’t nearly done with what he wanted to do.

Now that his father was gone, he would do it.

First, he looked at the name of the technique,

”Star Breathing Technique.”

It had nine tiers.

Learning every tier would give a knight tremendous power.

Ethan looked at the first level diagram and instantly remembered it. He tried to manipulate mana according to it.

A vortex of mana started going inside his body. This time it was normal as he was actually using his core.

Soon, the mana started circulating inside his body. Every cell was voraciously absorbing the mana like they were starving.

Humans were weak in their physical features, whereas dragons, demons, and beasts had high-level physical bodies.

Only the knights could ever hope to reach their level with breathing techniques.

But that was dependent on many factors.

Ethan circulated mana according to the first diagram for 10 times, and he was ready to upgrade to the 2nd level already.

But in these 10 cycles, he felt he became a lot stronger. His malnourished cells got some nourishment.

After that, he memorized the 2nd diagram and started circulating mana.

Meanwhile inside the Ancestor Castle, which was on par with the main castle, an old man opened his eyes.

”Sigh! No beast masters appeared in my lineage yet. The time for the opening of the Origin World is coming. Within three years, it will open.”

He closed his eyes again.

The Origin World was the biggest secret of humanity.

Not only beast masters, but also elemental magus and knights could gain tremendous fortune from there. But it was the heaven for beast masters.

Even mythical beasts could be found there. He would enter the Origin World with others, and if his lineage had a beast master, he could bring his first beast from that world.

It would be the perfect start for a beast master to get his first contract with the beast of that world.
