Chapter 155: The one on one battle is going to start

When they saw Ethan, nobody dared to treat him as an equal. They bowed deeply.

”Welcome, Young Supreme.”

Ethan nodded at them. He made no attempt to hide the power of this clone, letting everyone clearly sense that it possessed only 1 Sun-level strength.

However, Queen Freya had already told them that Ethan was participating with a clone whose strength was similar to Lucien’s.

Ethan asked, ”So, how are things going, Lucien? Do you think you can pummel Alistair the light bulb? If you can defeat him in a satisfactory battle, I’ll reward you with something you’ll definitely love.”

When Ethan said this, Lucien smiled. ”Then I’m looking forward to the gift.”

Ethan leaned in slightly. ”Listen to me. The more dominantly you perform, the richer the reward I’ll give. I want you all to crush them—especially the Celestials. I hate those light bulbs.”

Everyone was left speechless. For someone so unimaginably powerful to be this petty... but what could they say? In front of them stood the living myth of the universe; even his fart would smell divine to them.

”Give me a quick briefing about the remaining two leaders. Who are they?” Ethan asked.

Before anyone else could respond, Natasha stepped forward.

”Young Supreme, please allow me to explain.

The Titan race is led by Kronar Noxar. He’s a giant, standing three meters tall, and an incredibly powerful one at that. We don’t know much about him, but we are certain of his strength.

The Cosmic Behemoth race is actually a coalition of four races: the Dragon race led by Velmora, the Phoenix race led by Seraphina, the Jormundagr race led by Zephyron, and the Werewolf race led by Jacob.

The combined leader is Velmora, as he is the strongest among them.”

Ethan raised an eyebrow. ”Did you say Jacob from the Werewolf race? I wonder if there are any Bellas or Edwards in the Vampire race. By the way, are vampires and werewolves archenemies?”

Natasha looked puzzled. ”I’m not sure what you mean, Young Supreme, but yes—the werewolves and vampires are bitter enemies. The moment they meet, they’ll fight without hesitation.”

Ethan was now certain: his previous Earth was truly special. Every fantasy in that world seemed to be real in some universe.

Just then, Arthur arrived. Everyone bowed to him—except Ethan, who only nodded in acknowledgment.

Arthur didn’t mind. ”Alright, you should all head into the arena. First, there will be an introduction phase for each race. One thousand combatants will enter. Then the tournament rules will be announced. I suspect they’ll be similar to the last time.”

They nodded and entered the arena. The broadcast went live the moment they stepped inside, and the entire universe was now watching.

Ethan quietly expanded his mental domain to scan the combatants’ power levels.

The highest was 1.5 Sun, and it came from the Titan race.

There were other interesting fighters from various races as well. Most of them had humanoid forms.

A figure appeared in the air above the arena.

”Hello, I am Krono, your host for this tournament.”

Krono was a Star Realm powerhouse from the Celestial race. The host had been chosen after a competitive audition process, and he had emerged the winner.

He began speaking with pride, ”Now entering the battlefield is the supreme Celestial race—the soon-to-be victors! We have Alistair Thornevale, and I’m certain he’ll mop the floor with others in the competition!”

Instantly, curses erupted from the audiences of the other races.

What a shameless bastard.

But Krono’s skin was thicker than that of political leaders. He continued shamelessly praising the Celestial race.

Then Ethan and his group entered.

”Now entering is the Primordial Human race. We can see some weakli—”

Ethan’s gaze locked onto him, and Krono felt an overwhelming pressure, as if a primordial beast had fixed its eyes on him. His tone shifted in an instant.

”We can see the Young Supreme of the human race! Please, give them a big applause!”

Ethan gave a small nod of satisfaction.

Krono was smart even if he was a light bulb.

Krono was sweating buckets but then proceeded to introduce each participant slowly.

Soon, all 1,000 combatants stood in the arena.

”Now, let me explain the rules. The five leaders of this generation from the sovereign races will not participate in the first round, and the Young Supreme of the Primordial Human race will also advance automatically to the next phase.

The remaining 994 combatants will fight in the arena in a massive group battle. Only the last 100 standing will move on to the next phase.

Is that clear?”

”Yes!” the crowd roared.

”Good. Then let the battle begin!”

Ethan and the other five leaders stepped out of the arena and entered the same waiting box.

The atmosphere immediately grew heavy.

Kronar looked at Ethan. ”I’ve seen your battles—you are truly remarkable. But with this clone, you stand no chance against me.”

Titans were simple-minded but straightforward. They respected the strong and despised the weak. Kronar had great respect for Ethan, but he still wanted to challenge him.

Ethan smiled. ”Best of luck, then.”

Alistair, Yuriel, and Velmora kept silent, sitting apart from the others.

Ethan glanced at them. ”You’ve all grown stronger. Good progress. I hope you can give me some entertainment in the arena.” Then, without another word, he pulled out a mobile device and began playing games.

Alistair ground his teeth but said nothing. He had a trump card and was confident in winning this tournament. Yet whenever he faced Ethan, he felt his confidence waver. There was a power in Ethan’s gaze that made him feel small.

The battle in the arena soon erupted. It was chaotic yet beautiful. From the very start, everyone unleashed their full strength—there was no room for holding back.

Zephyron shifted to his huge Serpent form and swallowed 3 combatant instantly.

Seraphina turned into a Phoenix, and a red fired gushed out from her body and she also killed 4.

Jacob turned into a werewolf and attacked Lucifer from the vampire race. Those two engaged into a eye catching fight.

The other small races were not some weakling either. They also unleashed their strongest moves.

Natasha and Neo performed greatly but the other one was struggling.

In this free-for-all, everyone was an enemy. The five sovereign races naturally teamed up, taking advantage of their numbers.

Three hours later, the 100 winners were determined. Natasha and Neo were among them, but the third member of their group failed to advance due to a lack of strength.

Two hundred eighty-seven combatants died on the spot.

Krono’s voice rang out again. ”Alright, folks, we have our winners for the second phase!

The rules from this point on are simple: one-on-one battles.

Fifty-three will move on to the third phase, and so on.

Now please all 106 combatant come forward and take your number. The similar numbers would fight in the battlefield. ”

Ethan and the other 5 also came out.

Ethan took out a number from the box, it was 1.

But instantly a member from a small race lost all color from his face, reason? He also got 1, that meant he would have to fight Ethan.

Soon everyone got their number. An epic battle was going to start.
