Chapter 195: Practicing the new spells

Rowan immediately became happy.

”You are not bad, boy. I am Rowan Eckart from the Supreme Knight Academy. What is your name?”

Ethan bowed, ”I am Ethan Di Raizel. It’s an honor to meet you.”

Rowan smiled.

Then he looked at Lucas.

”Did you see what happened back there? Who do you think helped us? And I didn’t see the source of that attack.”

Lucas looked at Ethan and said, ”Well, I also didn’t see. We will investigate this whole incident thoroughly.”

”Let’s go.”

Lucas took Ethan and Sunny and left.

Just as they were about to leave the forest area, they met Ethan’s ancestor.

He asked worriedly, ”What happened, Instructor Lucas? Is Ethan alright?”

Ancestor didn’t come with him. It was not permitted.

Lucas said, ”Yeah, come with me. I’ll fill you in.”

Edian nodded his head and started following him.

When he heard an epic monster had attacked the competition area, his soul almost left his body.

Instantly he left for the forest, but he got the news a moment later, that’s why this delay happened.

Soon they arrived at the academy.

An old woman was waiting there anxiously. When she saw Sunny come back safely, she heaved a sigh of relief.

”Grandma, why didn’t you go to save me? Don’t you love me anymore?” Sunny became extremely emotional when he saw his grandma.

”Don’t say this, sweety. You know I love you the most. But when I heard it was an ape, and Lucas was already there, I thought sending a knight would be better. Besides, I went to find the source of the attack as Lucas said someone was probably controlling the beast.”

Sunny then said, ”Okay, I believe you. This is Ethan, my best friend. Give him something good as it is your first meeting with him. Then I will forgive you.”

Ethan’s mouth started twitching. This woman was probably stronger than Lucas and Rowan, and Sunny just bluntly asked for a gift for him in front of everyone. Wouldn’t it make him look bad in front of her?

Ethan instantly said, ”It’s an honor to meet you, senior. I am Ethan Di Raizel.”

Martha looked at Ethan with some interest. Someone could become this close to Sunny in one day, close enough that Sunny was asking a gift for him in front of everyone? The boy must be special. Because Sunny just wouldn’t make friends here and there.

He would always keep himself away from others.

What made this boy so special?

Martha said, ”If you say so, sweety.”

Then she took out a sword from her space ring and gave it to Ethan.

Edian’s eyes widened when he saw that sword. It was even greater than their royal family’s best artifact. And she was just giving it to Ethan because her grandson asked for a gift.

Who was this woman?

Martha said with a smile, ”Boy, come to our house with Sunny someday. I would like to talk to you.”

Ethan became nervous instantly. He laughed awkwardly.

”Sure, senior.”

After saying that, Martha left with Sunny. Sunny waved his hands at Ethan.

”Let’s fight in the 3rd phase tomorrow, Ethan. I’ll also bring tasty foods prepared by my mother tomorrow.”

Ethan also waved his hand at him.

Then Lucas gave Edian a brief about the whole situation.

And suddenly looked at Ethan, ”You were the one who attacked the ape that time, right?”

Lucas immediately recognized the Last Ordeal spell.

But he didn’t know how Ethan could use that spell in such a manner.

Ethan replied, ”Yes, but I couldn’t harm the ape.”

Lucas felt a slight twitch on his face.

”Brat, how the heck did you use that spell in such a manner?”

Ethan looked at him, ”Didn’t I mention I have the space element too? I used a space spell I created myself.”

Lucas felt like a lightning bolt fell on his head.

”Space” element. The mythical element only written in records? And what did he say? He created a spell of the space element at this age and also used it in such a perfect manner in battle?

This boy surely belonged to the Ultimate Monster group. He could even be called their grandfather.

Seriously! What kind of sorcery was this? How could someone be this talented? It was unfair.

Thousands of thoughts started swirling inside his brain.

Edian was grinning proudly by his side. Ethan was also a beast master. If Lucas knew this, he would probably puke blood.

Ethan saw the proud look on Edian’s face and thought, ”I am also a knight. If they knew, they would probably puke dark blood.”

Edian took Ethan and left too.

They went to the inn and ordered food.

Ethan had learned many new spells today. Among them, the ape’s use of lightning magic to increase its speed, then conjuring a lightning ape, was an eye-opener for him.

So spells could be used like this too? He would try this today. It was already morning.

But the 3rd phase of the tournament had been postponed by one day. Ethan got the whole day to try the new spells.

He said goodbye to his ancestor, but then Relf and Julious came with worried faces.

”Your Highness, are you alright?”

Ethan smiled at them and said, ”Yes, I am alright. Don’t I look perfectly fine?”

Relf heaved a sigh of relief. He was super anxious when he heard about the incident.

Ethan then said bye to them and entered his room. There was an attached training room with his room.

He could hardly contain his excitement.

First he tried the speed mechanism. How the ape wrapped itself with lightning and how it made its speed that much faster.

Ethan closed his eyes and started remembering the diagram of this spell. Soon purple lightning started wrapping around him from head, limbs, torso.

Soon he became a lightning man. Ethan tried to run and—whosh—he directly slammed into the opposite wall. The wall was sturdy, or else it might have been destroyed.

”Ouch! That hurts. Man, I was careless.”
