Invincible Soul Emperor

Chapter 700: Chapter 700: Buddha’s Relic

The group held their breath, their focus entirely on Ye Qingchen.

Suddenly, a massive surge of Energy erupted from within his body, startling everyone with its unexpected force. Snapping back to their senses, they immediately evacuated the house.

BOOM!

The moment they were outside, the tremendous Energy brought the entire building crashing down.

”Young Master! The Young Master is still inside!” Xiao Xiao shrieked, wanting to rush back in, but Elder Yang held her back.

”You absolutely cannot approach him now!” Elder Chen interjected, calmly assessing the situation. ”The Energy within him is likely out of control. Rushing in won’t help; you’ll only get in his way!”

Xiao Xiao paced back and forth anxiously. ”Then what do we do? Are we just supposed to watch helplessly while the Young Master is trapped in there?”

”Rest assured. His own Energy is protecting him, so the collapsed house can’t crush him. It’s just a shame about all the medicinal herbs in my room,” Elder Chen lamented, sighing at the thought of his carefully collected plants being ruined.

”Really, Elder Chen? At a time like this, you’re still worried about your stupid herbs?” Huomei scoffed.

”Everyone has their own destiny,” Elder Chen said helplessly. ”We’ve already done all we can. Whether he can pull through is up to him alone. Worrying ourselves to death is useless.”

Elder Chen’s words were true; there was nothing any of them could do at the moment. The group waited there for an hour.

Gradually, the surge of Energy weakened before disappearing completely.

”Alright, we can go and see what’s happened now,” Elder Chen said, sensing the change in the surroundings and waving the others forward.

Without hesitation, they hurried to where the house had collapsed. Beneath the countless fragments of rubble, Ye Qingchen was still sitting upright, a protective shield of Energy enveloping him completely.

Seeing that he was unharmed, Xiao Xiao cried with excitement and relief, ”Young Master, Young Master! This is wonderful! You’re all right!”

Ye Qingchen slowly opened his eyes. He was about to speak when he suddenly spat out a mouthful of fresh blood.

”Ah! Young Master! What’s wrong?”

Xiao Xiao scrambled to pull Ye Qingchen from the rubble. Seeing him spit up blood made her feel as if her own heart was being torn apart. ”Elder Chen, quickly, please see what’s wrong with my Young Master!”

Xiao Xiao helped Ye Qingchen over to Elder Chen, who immediately began his examination.

”My, my... Thank heavens! He’s alive!” After a thorough check, Elder Chen confirmed that Ye Qingchen had indeed survived the ordeal.

”However, while he appears unharmed on the outside, his internal injuries have actually become more severe!” Elder Chen announced gravely as he stood up.

Xiao Xiao couldn’t believe it. ”But my Young Master is awake, isn’t he? How can he be...”

”He is conscious,” Elder Chen explained succinctly. ”But the impact of the breakthrough, compounded by his previous severe injuries, has caused immense internal damage.”

Huomei said urgently, ”Then what are you waiting for, Elder Chen? Heal him!”

Elder Chen shook his head. ”Martial Grand-aunt, it’s not that I don’t want to treat him, but I’m powerless right now. His innermost injuries cannot be healed by ordinary means.”

At that moment, Ye Qingchen wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, steadied himself, and stood up. ”Elder Chen is right,” he said. ”I can feel that something is wrong inside my body. At this point, even Elder Chen’s most potent Elixirs are useless for me.”

”What should we do then?” Xiao Xiao asked, anxiously supporting him. ”Elder Chen, isn’t there any other way?”

Elder Chen thought for a moment before suddenly running towards the ruins of the house. He immediately started digging frantically through the rubble. Seeing this, Huomei hurried over to help.

”Martial Grand-aunt, help me find a red book. I hope it hasn’t been crushed,” Elder Chen muttered as he dug.

After a while, Huomei finally found what Elder Chen was looking for amidst the debris.

”Yes, that’s it! Hold on!” Elder Chen exclaimed, grabbing the book and flipping through its pages.

The others held their breath.

”No, the solution isn’t in here,” Elder Chen said, shaking his head in disappointment. ”Martial Grand-aunt, help me find a yellow book!” With that, he resumed digging.

Huomei didn’t dare to delay and immediately joined the search. After another long search, they finally found it.

”Yes, this is the one!” Elder Chen said, flipping through it, but the answer wasn’t there either.

”This... Elder Chen, is there really no way to save the Young Master?” Xiao Xiao asked, her anxiety growing.

Ye Qingchen gave her a reassuring look. ”Xiao Xiao, Elder Chen’s skills are beyond question. We have to trust him.”

The two continued to dig, turning over nearly the entire ruin of the house. At last, Elder Chen pulled a tattered book from a pile of wreckage.

”I’ve found it! The cure for Ye Qingchen’s condition!” Elder Chen announced excitedly, bringing the tattered book to the others. ”This book says that to cure him, we need the Buddha’s Relic!”

His words left everyone in silence.

”The Buddha’s Relic? Are you joking? That’s not something one can easily obtain!” Huomei exclaimed.

Elder Chen nodded gravely. ”Yes. That is the only thing that can help Ye Qingchen recover. Nothing else will work.”

”Then where is this Buddha’s Relic now?” Xiao Xiao asked impatiently.

”The Buddha’s Relic is located in the Ancient Buddha Palace, within the First Mystic Realm of the Western Region,” Elder Chen explained slowly. ”The palace is controlled by the Xuezhao Clan. Therefore, to get the Buddha’s Relic, you must come to an agreement with them.”

Ye Qingchen furrowed his brow. ”The Xuezhao Clan?”

We’re not familiar with the Xuezhao Clan. I wonder if they’d be willing to help.

”Young Master, your condition can’t be delayed! We must set out at once!” Xiao Xiao said, her eyes filled with determination.

I’ve heard of the Xuezhao Clan. But even if they refuse to help, I won’t give up so easily!

Huomei nodded in agreement. ”We’ll only know once we go and ask.”

”She’s right, Ye Qingchen. Although you can hold on for now, you cannot afford any delay. The longer this is drawn out, the more damage your body will sustain,” Elder Chen added.

Elder Chen didn’t have a Buddha’s Relic; otherwise, he would have given it to Ye Qingchen directly. After all, the item was not easy to get. Elder Chen had indeed possessed one before, but it had long since been used. Of course, he hadn’t found that one himself. Finding such an item in a Secret Realm is no simple task.

”Elder Chen, thank you for your help. In that case, we won’t impose on you any longer,” Ye Qingchen said, rising to his feet to express his gratitude.

Elder Chen waved his hands dismissively. ”There’s no need for thanks. It’s what I ought to do. By the way, take these medicines with you. If you feel unwell on your journey, take one.”
