I Can Fish Up Everything!

Chapter 314: Chapter 208: Livestream Fishing This Time 2

”Ah Nan, you’re back so early. Have you had lunch?”

”I ate on the way,” Gu Nan said with a smile, handing her the fish.

Yi Chen nodded, taking the fish and glancing at it. ”Since you’re here, stay for dinner before you head to the shop.”

”Alright, your call.” Gu Nan, of course, had no objections.

Yi Chen put the fish in the fridge, then pulled him upstairs to her room.

He hadn’t been with his girlfriend for a few days, so the moment Gu Nan entered the room, he wrapped his arms around her. He lowered his head and captured her sweet, pink lips in a kiss.

Yi Chen was caught off guard but didn’t refuse, her response still somewhat clumsy.

They hadn’t kissed all that often, so she couldn’t possibly be an expert.

Held so tightly against his firm, hot chest, his undisguised possessiveness made her lose all her strength, leaving her weak all over.

”Ah Nan... don’t... Grandma’s downstairs...”

In the end, Yi Chen managed to hold on to the last shred of her reason.

Gu Nan was just as frustrated. He knew her grandmother was downstairs and hadn’t planned on doing anything in the first place.

But as they kept kissing, things got heated, and now he really wanted to just go for it...

But they were getting married, and he couldn’t push things too far. He had no choice but to restrain himself.

Gu Nan’s sudden pause left Yi Chen panting and a little dazed. She had thought he would keep going, and was even thinking, ’I suppose I’ll just have to be quiet about it.’

”How about coming over to my place tonight?” Gu Nan asked, his eyes burning with intensity.

Of course, Yi Chen knew what he meant. Her cheeks flushed red as she lowered her head. ”Stop always thinking about that kind of stuff...”

”Well, you’re just too tempting.” Gu Nan kissed her scorching-hot earlobe, knowing it was one of her sensitive spots.

Letting out a soft whimper, Yi Chen held back her embarrassment. ”We’ll... we’ll see tonight!”

Gu Nan immediately understood what she meant, but her shy, flustered state was so adorable that he couldn’t help but tease her more.

”’We’ll see tonight,’ huh? You’re not going to drag this out and then bail on me, are you? In that case, we should just do it now!”

”Stop it... I... I agree! I’ll do it!”

”Hehe...”

His objective accomplished, Gu Nan stopped his teasing.

He picked her up and placed her on the bed. Then, he took off his jacket and pants and lay down beside her.

’This is the first time I’ve ever lain in a girl’s bed,’ he thought. ’It smells so nice and feels strangely comfortable.’

Yi Chen knew he was a sensible man, so she didn’t think he would go back on his word and try anything just because he was on her bed.

They had slept in the same bed during the few days they were out at sea, and she really liked the feeling of being held as she slept. It made her feel incredibly safe.

They had an early dinner at five, after which Gu Nan took Yi Chen to the shop.

The new shop wasn’t very busy in the late afternoon and evening; most of the rush was in the morning.

The exception was when restaurants needed to stock up, but Yi Chen had all their contact information, so they could just call if they needed an order.

Yi Chen had been keeping the shop open in the afternoons lately. She had only gone home for lunch today and planned to return around two, but Gu Nan’s sudden arrival had thrown her schedule off.

When they opened the shop, Gu Nan noticed several packed shipping boxes near the entrance. From the look of the boxes, he could tell they contained seafood.

”Oh, you’re starting to sell online?”

”Mhm, I have a decent number of followers on my account, and people have been asking if I can ship orders. So I made a group chat to give it a try,” Yi Chen explained.

”I feel like we sell to restaurants for a lower price, but we can sell to fans for a higher price. If we get a lot of online customers, we can focus on the online shop route. At least we’d earn more.”

Gu Nan hesitated before saying, ”I know my catches are always high-quality and big, but the truth is, I can’t get that much volume at once.”

”If demand is too high, we might not be able to keep up with the supply.”

Yi Chen was taken aback by his words. She gave her man a surprised look, and after making sure he wasn’t just praising himself in a roundabout way, she said with a strange expression, ”Have you ever considered this: you can bring in plenty of these big lobsters, Emperor Crabs, and groupers, but other people would be considered amazing just for getting their hands on a few once in a while!”

”Er...”

”You don’t think I’m selling common fish online, do you? These customers are coming for the big-ticket items in our store. They want this premium seafood. Never mind whether many people can afford it; if demand is high and we run out, then they’ll just have to wait!”

Gu Nan slapped his forehead, speechless. ”My thinking was all wrong.”

He immediately realized Yi Chen’s idea to sell online was a great decision. ’Customers might come for the big lobsters at first, but once they get into the habit of buying from us, the deep-sea fish I catch and everything else should be easy to sell too. It’s definitely a better outlet than the old shop or me selling them off by myself.’

About half an hour later, the courier Yi Chen contacted arrived to pick up the packages.

They were being sent via air freight, with the buyers paying for shipping.

People who could afford this kind of premium seafood didn’t mind paying a few hundred yuan for shipping.

Gu Nan took a look at the number of people in Yi Chen’s seafood group chat. It wasn’t large yet, just over fifty members.

This made him think that livestreaming his fishing trips might be even more effective at attracting customers.

So he brought the idea up with Yi Chen. ”Chenchen, let’s try livestreaming occasionally. Brother Guo should be contacting me about going out to sea in the next day or two. You should come too.”

”We can livestream the fishing. Maybe some people will see it, get interested, and join the group. Then we’ll have more customers buying fish.”

Yi Chen hadn’t planned on going out to sea for the next couple of months, as she was waiting for the new boat.

But Gu Nan’s proposal was very tempting. She learned that her older cousin was now helping clean fish at the old shop, and her future father-in-law could watch the new shop for a few days. So, she nodded and agreed.

After closing up shop, the two of them went to buy some outdoor livestreaming equipment. They made sure they were fully prepared, even testing out the gear while they waited for the call.

Guo Xiao didn’t keep them waiting long. He called the very next evening, arranging to meet at the docks at nine the following morning.

Gu Nan had already told his parents during the day that he was taking Yi Chen out to sea. Once he had the specific departure time, he sent them a text message.

On the morning of their departure, Gu Nan and Yi Chen were ready early. They arrived at the dock just after eight o’clock.

They drove a pickup truck, loading their bags, big and small, directly onto the boat.

If Guo Xiao hadn’t known Yi Chen was also coming to fish, he absolutely would have brought his wife along. Alas, his wife had no interest in fishing, so he’d had to give up the idea.

Seeing them with so much stuff, including a mounting bracket, he couldn’t help but ask, ”What’s with you two? What’s this for?”

Gu Nan smiled and explained, ”Chenchen is starting an online business now. A lot of the customers are fans from her original account. I figured livestreaming our fishing might be more effective, so we’re giving it a try.”

”That’s not a bad idea at all,” Guo Xiao said, realization dawning on him. ”I’ll throw you a few ’Rockets’ during the stream to help you get some traffic.”

”No, no, don’t! Why waste the money? We’ll take it slow. It’s not like we’re trying to become professional streamers,” Gu Nan quickly said, shaking his head in refusal.

Guo Xiao smiled at his response and didn’t mention the ’Rockets’ again. ”Since you’re not going to throw money at it, I guess we’ll have to track down some tuna this time. Catching tuna might also attract a lot of viewers.”

Gu Nan agreed. ’As long as we catch something big, especially if we butcher it right there on camera, it’s bound to generate a lot of buzz,’ he thought.

The only problem was whether they’d actually find any tuna. It all came down to luck.

After a short while, the supplies and bait Guo Xiao had ordered began to arrive. Wang Junhe also showed up, fashionably late.

He and Guo Xiao both welcomed Yi Chen’s arrival. At least they were guaranteed to eat well for the next few days at sea.

They were ready before nine o’clock. Guo Xiao started the fishing boat’s engine, and they set off.

Gu Nan was busy adjusting the equipment and connecting to the boat’s internet. Once they reached the open sea, they would have to do a test stream.

But since Yi Chen was here, she would be the one on camera for the livestream this time.

A beautiful woman fishing would definitely generate more buzz than just some guy. The camera would only turn to him when he caught a big fish.
