I Can Fish Up Everything!

Chapter 302: Chapter 202: New Store Opens, Purchasers Crowd the Door

He’d spirited away someone’s granddaughter, leaving the old woman home alone. Gu Nan felt he ought to take extra care of her.

Yi Chen was also a little tempted. But after thinking about it, she neither agreed nor refused, instead saying, ”I should ask Grandma first.”

She felt there was a high probability her grandmother would still refuse. However, if he brought over some of the fish he’d caught, especially hairtail and small yellow croaker, her grandma would definitely accept.

Still, Yi Chen wanted to ask. If her grandma agreed, she could at least make lunch and dinner for her, so her grandma wouldn’t have to cook for herself.

Now that she was older and less mobile, Yi Chen naturally wanted her grandma to enjoy her golden years in comfort.

After dropping Yi Chen off at home, it was so late that her grandmother was already asleep. Gu Nan didn’t disturb them. He didn’t try anything clever, either; he just obediently got in his car and left.

’If her grandma didn’t live here, I would have just stayed the night. I wouldn’t even have minded moving in. But for now, I’ll just have to endure it!’

Yi Chen seemed to have read his mind. She wrapped her arms around him with an amused smile, kissed him, and whispered, ”When there’s a chance, I’ll come over to your place and ’hang out’ for a while.”

”Is this ’hang out’ the same ’hang out’ I’m thinking of?” His girlfriend had offered up a sweet, delectable kiss, and Gu Nan didn’t hold back in their exchange before teasing her.

”Just get out of here!” His shameless words made Yi Chen push him away, blushing with annoyance.

Having just tasted the forbidden fruit, her skin wasn’t that thick yet. She pushed him away and immediately shut the door.

Gu Nan didn’t mind. In fact, he was looking forward to the wonderful days ahead.

Riding high on success—that perfectly described Gu Nan’s current state of mind. He was just an ordinary guy, with nothing particularly outstanding about him.

Normally, he would have spent his life quietly earning a modest living, marrying a wife who was neither pretty nor ugly. If he were lucky, he’d live out a peaceful, unremarkable life. If he were unlucky, it would be a chaotic mess.

But ever since binding with the game, his life had gotten better day by day. And now he had a gentle and beautiful fiancée. Gu Nan felt he was truly lucky. ’Living the rest of my life like this would be more than enough.’

The next day, having just returned, he was extremely busy. The water in both the new shop’s pools and tanks was fine. Only a few clownfish had died, which wasn’t a major issue.

An Jun and Ye Jing were both there to help today because a large shipment of imported seafood had arrived for Gu Nan.

But first thing in the morning, he drove his pickup to take some useless tissue from the gills of a seven-banded grouper for analysis. Then, he delivered a Spanish mackerel and a small slipper lobster he had caught to Boss Su at the shipyard.

Upon receiving the gift, it was obvious that Boss Su was very pleased.

Unfortunately, the man was a bit older, so it was impossible for them to hang out together like he did with Wang Junhe and Guo Xiao.

Back at the new shop, batches of imported seafood were being delivered. One by one, meter-long and even larger groupers were placed into the pools.

Next came the Emperor Crabs, and finally, the lobsters.

Their exaggerated sizes completely stunned the owners of the neighboring seafood shops. If any of them managed to get just one, they could brag about it for half a day, claiming they had connections and channels.

’But this shop is getting them delivered in batches. What kind of big shot has descended upon our seafood market, and right next to our shops, of all places?’

The shop owners wore long faces. They worried that this new store would be bustling with customers while theirs would be completely deserted.

When Gu Nan saw the other owners, he greeted them politely on the surface.

It was a seafood market, after all, with rows upon rows of seafood shops. Whether your business was good or not depended on how you ran it.

As a young man, if not for the game, he certainly couldn’t compare to others in terms of business management and their accumulated connections and channels.

Therefore, Gu Nan didn’t feel arrogant or complacent. He amiably took out some Hua Zi cigarettes and passed them around.

After a full morning of hard work, the once-empty shop was completely transformed.

The new shop only sold seafood priced at one hundred fifty yuan or more. Anything below that price was sold at the old shop.

As for the high-end seafood originally at the old shop, they would just leave it there to sell gradually until it was gone.

The catch from the boat yesterday had also been sent over there. The foot traffic at this seafood market was average; it primarily served the procurement route for hotels and restaurants.

But with the opening of Gu Nan’s new shop, huge fish were being brought in one after another, along with meter-long lobsters and Emperor Crabs the size of millstones. All of these were eye-catching, and a large crowd gathered almost instantly.

Part of the crowd consisted of the neighboring seafood shop owners. Some were just gawking, while others wanted to get closer to him, looking for a chance to fish for information.

Another part of the crowd was made up of buyers from various hotels and high-end restaurants in Yangjiang Port and Bazhou City.

Seeing the massive stock in the shop, these people’s eyes lit up. They never expected to see so many things that were usually a rare sight.

Take the Emperor Crabs, for instance. Many restaurants purchased them daily according to demand. One the size of a washbasin could be considered a store’s prized treasure. A millstone-sized one was simply unimaginable.

If they got their hands on one that big and notified a few of their regular big-shot customers, they could sell it for a higher price in minutes. The price could at least double.

Seeing that Gu Nan was almost done getting set up, a buyer immediately asked for prices.

However, he handed these matters over to Yi Chen because Wang Junhe and Guo Xiao had arrived with flower baskets to congratulate him. A short while later, Sheng Shuyun from the Junhao Hotel also came with a gift and was immediately recognized by some of the buyers.

A bitter feeling welled up in their hearts. They hadn’t expected Gu Nan to know Sheng Shuyun. The daily procurement volume of a five-star hotel was massive; how could their small shops possibly compete? At best, they could only get the leftovers.

The three men who came to offer congratulations were all busy people and left after a short while.
