His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1585: Chapter 444: Kiss of Love

”Mom, give Dad a love KISS!”

Huanhuan, being a little mischievous, immediately saw through Qin Mu’s nervousness and pulled a super cute face to encourage her.

”Go mom, you can do it!”

Chengcheng, adorably holding his bowl, cheered his mom on and then went back to drinking his soup from the big bowl.

Feng Fanghua, watching her adorable grandchildren, couldn’t help but smile. She looked over at the young couple, suddenly sensing something was off.

”Yichen, if you’re really feeling unwell, don’t take it lightly!”

So, she just gently reminded him and didn’t push further.

Mu Yichen raised his eyes slightly, hearing Mrs. Feng’s voice and realizing they had seen through something. Helplessly, he lifted his hand and lightly pressed his thumb between his brows.

Qin Mu was already too embarrassed to lift her head. It was all the fault of those two little rascals, saying things in front of the elders that made her lose face, but alas, kids don’t understand these things.

After dinner, Qin Mu was pushed and prodded by Mu Yichen out of the house. The elders and kids stayed quietly in the living room, watching the scene unfold.

Qin Mu was extremely reluctant but helpless, turning back unhappily after being kicked out the door. Inside, she didn’t dare to be fierce towards him, but once outside, she immediately pouted, showing her protest through her eyes and expressions.

”What are you glaring at?”

Mu Yichen raised an eyebrow, ignoring her, and just stood beside her, making it impossible for her to run away. Coldly, he ordered, ”Open the trunk!”

Qin Mu grumbled under her breath in displeasure, but still pulled out the car key from her pocket to open the trunk.

Mu Yichen pushed her shoulder again, making her walk forward.

It was like going back to childhood, on a chilly night, where Mu Yichen habitually treated her coldly, making her do things she was extremely unwilling to do.

Qin Mu was angry and especially unwilling to comply, but since she couldn’t beat him, she had to do as he said.

Mu Yichen followed nonchalantly behind her, arms crossed, knowing just by the back of her head that she was grumbling.

Qin Mu walked to the trunk, looking at the big box inside, then turned to him.

”Surely you’re not expecting ’a frail woman like me’ to carry such a big box into the house, right?”

Qin Mu looked at him, thinking it was one thing for him to push and kick her, but expecting her to carry such a big box was just ungentlemanly. Typically, these rough and heavy tasks are done by men when they’re around.

”I have faith in your abilities!”

But with his cold-blooded nature, Mu dismissed her with a simple word of trust.

Qin Mu instinctively glared at him again, ”Even though it’s not very heavy, carrying it really doesn’t look good. Besides, if I walk in with it, Dad and Grandpa will definitely ask why you’re not carrying it, and Grandpa will surely call you a little rascal!”

Mu Yichen half-closed his eyes at that, smirking as he looked at her, ”Is it Grandpa who wants to scold me, or have you been secretly cursing me a thousand times over?”

Qin Mu...

”Be good! Hurry up and bring it inside, you’ll catch a cold if you stay out too long!”

Mu Yichen was slightly concerned as she only had a shirt under her coat.

”Do you actually care if I catch a cold?”

Qin Mu doubted it, then turned around, having no choice but to lift the box.

She didn’t want to carry the box inside at all; she wanted to toss it in the trash bin outside instead.

Qin Mu glanced at him, as Mu Yichen kept his eyes on her.

”Don’t try any tricks, just get inside!”

Mu Yichen closed the trunk while Qin Mu, taking advantage of the moment, was about to run off with the box when Mu Yichen caught her slender waist just in time.

Qin Mu couldn’t run, and almost dropped the box because it was too large. She had to muster all her strength to hold it, thinking if it dropped, she wouldn’t want to show her face here again.

”If you keep playing tricks, I’ll punish you right here! Got it?”

Mu Yichen murmured threateningly in her ear.

Qin Mu lowered her eyes, unwilling to comply even a little.

”Remember? Behave, and you’ll suffer less!”

Mu Yichen gently held her, his other hand patting her little head, much like he would with his daughter.

”Let go of me! I’m going inside!”

Qin Mu, frustrated, resigned herself to the fact that if Sun Wukong couldn’t escape Buddha’s Five Finger Mountain, neither could she, and accepted her fate.

So, as soon as Mu Yichen released her, she immediately carried the box inside.

Qin Mu, with a resolve of facing death heroically, walked in with the box.
