His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1574: Chapter 441: Wicked Sense of Humor

”Madam! The president is upstairs, please go find him after your meal.”

The restaurant manager came to the rescue just in time. Qin Mu felt like she’d been soaking in hot water for ages and was finally being pulled out, reborn.

Johnson gave the restaurant manager an unhappy glance, then nodded at Qin Mu, ”In that case, we won’t disturb you further! Mrs. Mu, enjoy your meal!”

Qin Mu nodded to the manager. After the manager left, she exchanged a glance with Wen Runuan.

”Johnson is pretty tough!”

Wen Runuan said, as if pondering something.

”Everyone thinks he’s a bodyguard at first, but turns out he’s an agent!”

Qin Mu chuckled as she explained to her.

”Johnson is quite the eccentric agent in the entertainment industry. Whatever roles Anna sets her eyes on, no matter how difficult, he can snag them. But his tactics aren’t just tough; I hear he’s really good at acting cute as well.”

Wen Runuan explained to Qin Mu.

Acting cute?

Johnson?

That big guy?

Qin Mu couldn’t help but twitch a bit at the corner of her eyes.

”Let’s eat first. After we finish, you go find Mu Yichen, and I’ll head home to see my son.”

Wen Runuan said this, then started sipping her soup with Qin Mu. Qin Mu couldn’t help but smile, surprised at what Johnson was like. What would he look like acting cute?

But that doesn’t seem to be the point. The point is, whatever Anna wants, Johnson can get it for her.

After lunch, Qin Mu went upstairs, and Wen Runuan took the elevator to go home. Suddenly, her phone rang in her bag, and she paused at the elevator entrance to check it.

It was Anna, a number she had saved not long ago.

Once Wen Runuan got upstairs, she saw Anna drinking alone. Anna raised her wine glass to her upon seeing her, then downed the entire glass in one go.

Anna’s drinking capacity was indeed unusual.

Wen Runuan sat down, and Anna poured herself another glass and also one for Wen Runuan.

”Where’s Johnson?”

”He had other matters to attend to and left early. I love a couple of drinks, so I’ll leave a bit later! Care to join me for a drink?”

”Honestly, I came today for some health soup, so I shouldn’t be drinking!”

Wen Runuan lifted her wine glass despite her words saying otherwise.

Anna understood she was being courteous and gently clinked her glass.

Before drinking, Wen Runuan watched her with interest. Anna seemed like the type who wouldn’t get upset no matter how others looked at her. She savored her wine thoroughly and, only after tasting it, did she gaze at Wen Runuan with her captivating eyes, kindly suggesting that Wen Runuan should drink a little too.

Wen Runuan took a sip, then asked her, ”Why are you interested in Qin Mu?”

”Just making friends! She’s not only a famous designer but also one of the few leading ladies film directors want but can’t get. I naturally have a liking for such a woman who knows what she wants!”

”How come I don’t understand a word! What does her knowing what she wants have to do with you or me?”

Wen Runuan listened to Anna, completely at a loss.

”It doesn’t!”

Anna laughed lightly, quite frankly, and took a small sip from her glass.

”Affinity is a hard thing to explain, isn’t it? Aren’t you and Qin Mu friends now? You can even have fish soup together, a sign of deep friendship, right?”

”She was my fashion advisor once! She actually helped me!”

Wen Runuan spoke truthfully. Their friendship was such that while they might not be close, they did help each other when needed.

”Oh, I see! So, are you worried about me becoming friends with her? Afraid I’ll take your advisor away?”

”Honestly, I’m a bit worried you have ulterior motives!”

Wen Runuan felt that while Anna was frank, she was also evasive, so she chose to be more forthright.

Anna held her breath for a moment upon hearing her, then smiled slightly, ”Just want to make a friend!”

After a long pause, Anna still offered this explanation.

Wen Runuan no longer asked more questions, instead finding herself observing her uncontrollably.

Surely, she couldn’t actually be interested in Qin Mu, right?

——

Later, Qin Mu received a WeChat message from Wen Runuan upstairs, learning that Wen Runuan had met with Anna. She glanced at the man next to her who was having a video meeting and then lay on the bed, lost in idle thoughts.

In the afternoon, Qin Mu didn’t go back to work. There were some scraps of paper left in Mu Yichen’s office, so Qin Mu started drawing.
