His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1558: Chapter 436: The Tried-and-True Trick (Part 4)

”I’ll block the light for you, so your snow melts a little slower!”

Qin Mu said softly, with a very serious look in her eyes.

The two little ones took her words seriously, but because their mother’s gaze was too stern, they hugged the jars tightly to their chests.

Qin Mu wondered, who on earth helped them find this thing?

Who came up with the idea of putting snow in these glass jars?

”Mom! How about we put this in the freezer? That way, even in the summer, we can see snow!”

”You want to keep it in the freezer forever? Isn’t that a bit too cruel?”

Qin Mu’s eyes shifted slightly as she questioned them.

The siblings looked naively at their mother, even questioning her words. They both wondered, did they do something wrong? They just wanted the snow to still exist in the summer!

——

That night, Mu Zihao went out for dinner, and Feng Fanghua, constrained by the presence of the old man, dared not nag.

After dinner, Mu Yichen played chess with the old man, while Qin Mu accompanied Huanhuan to sleep.

The next morning, Qin Mu went early to the city administration, to her father’s office.

It seemed like a while since the father and daughter last met, and Qin Haiming was naturally happy to see Qin Mu coming to visit him.

”Sit down! Do you want tea or plain water?”

Qin Haiming said as he also sat down on the sofa, looking at his daughter with a loving gaze and asked.

”Plain water, please!”

Qin Mu thought for a moment, she’d be drinking coffee later at the studio; having tea now and coffee later would definitely lead to sleeplessness tonight.

”Alright!”

He turned his head to press the intercom, and the secretary soon brought in a glass of plain water.

Qin Mu held the water cup while sitting on the sofa, the entire office was primarily black and white, the curved sofa discouraging slouching, involuntarily making her sit up straight.

”I heard from Uncle Wang that your back was hurting badly yesterday, is it better today?”

Qin Mu didn’t want them to just sit silently, so she asked.

Last night, after eight o’clock, Uncle Wang called her suddenly, saying the leader’s back was hurting badly, apparently an old ailment. Qin Mu didn’t call him at that time, but today she thought about it and came directly.

”Old Wang, that guy!”

Qin Haiming smiled a bit and sighed helplessly, thinking he had told Uncle Wang not to tell Qin Mu, but he did anyway.

”What is it that you can’t tell me? Don’t you call me to show your concern too?”

Qin Mu asked, not liking him to be reserved with her.

”It’s just an old problem! As people age, who doesn’t have a bit of pain somewhere? Would such small problems worry you? I’m not at the age where you need to worry about me yet!”

While saying this, Qin Mu felt that everything he said was always thinking of her.

Qin Mu thought, he probably doesn’t want to trouble her, because for many years, he hadn’t been around her like a father.

But since they are father and daughter, it shouldn’t be like this.

Though she didn’t like to confide her heart matters to him, she still hoped that when her father encountered problems, he would seek her help, even if he went to Mu Yichen instead.

”May you never have to make this daughter of yours worry in your life!”

Qin Mu couldn’t help but say directly.

Qin Haiming looked at her as if not understanding her intent.

Qin Mu saw in his eyes, as if he thought she was disliking him, her heart suddenly pricked, she lowered her head, eyes evasively looking at the water cup in her hand.

Qin Haiming also lowered his gaze, watching Qin Mu’s hands holding the cup, her thumb gently stroking the rim.

”What I mean is, may your health always be good!”

Qin Mu’s voice was somewhat tired, monotonous, but very sincere as it reached Qin Haiming’s ears.

Qin Haiming’s lips moved slightly, then he chuckled softly: ”I will!”

”I still have to go to the studio, so I won’t stay long!”

Qin Mu said suddenly getting a bit hurried, after putting down the cup, she opened her bag and took out two boxes of health supplements brought back from abroad: ”These were brought back from Paris during Christmas, take them and eat them on time!”

Qin Mu stood up, not daring to look at Qin Haiming again.

Qin Haiming then also stood up: ”I know, drive slowly!”

”Mm!”

Qin Mu nodded, then turned around to leave.

Actually, she didn’t want to leave just like that. She longed to have a cute little gesture like other people’s father-daughter relationships, but she couldn’t do it, hence started walking hesitantly, then left in quick strides.

And Qin Haiming just stood by the sofa, even after she left, he couldn’t move his eyes away from his office door for a long time.

Many words were buried deep in their hearts, whether it was Qin Mu, or Qin Haiming!

——

Qin Mu was driving to the studio when unexpectedly she received a call from Xi Meng.

She pulled over to the roadside, listened to what Xi Meng said over the phone, her eyes sharply gazed ahead, hung up and then turned the car around.
