The Treant Race—A brand-new species, but even Yu Zi Yu was not entirely sure of the specifics.

However, as he gazed at these figures—each using their roots as legs, branches as arms, and tree trunks adorned with ancient faces—Yu Zi Yu’s eyes narrowed slightly.

By the aesthetic standards of the myriad races, the Treant Race would hardly be considered beautiful. In fact, they were somewhat grotesque.

They looked more like monsters. Moreover, their voices were all deep and raspy, reminiscent of the grating sound of metal scraping against metal.

“I wonder what their combat strength is like…” Yu Zi Yu murmured to himself, gently pointing with one of his branches as he ordered a nearby Treant.

“Go, attack that open area with all your strength.”

“Yes, Tree Ancestor.” The Treant responded, slowly rising to its feet.

*Rumble, rumble…* With each step, the earth trembled, as though an earthquake had been unleashed beneath it.

[Judging by that alone, the sheer weight of these Treants must be quite terrifying,] Yu Zi Yu thought, observing the tremors.

But after a moment, the corner of his mouth lifted, as if recalling something. [I almost forgot—this Treant’s primary form is that of a Shadow Iron Tree…]

The Shadow Iron Tree was a mystical species that had emerged after the resurgence of Spiritual Energy. Black as ink, yet as heavy as a thousand tons, it appeared more like pure metal than a living tree.

With that in mind, it became clear why this particular Treant caused the ground to quake with every step.

*Hoooooo…* Breathing heavily, the Treant in the distance raised its fist.

*Boooooom…* With an earth-shattering crash, the ground within a hundred-meter radius caved in, cracking like a spider’s web.

“Although it only exudes the aura of a Tier-2, its strength is terrifying…”  As Yu Zi Yu spoke, his eyes suddenly sharpened.

In the next instant…

*Swish…* A branch sliced through the air, instantly striking the Treant.

*Clang…* A crisp sound echoed, as if metal had been struck. A faint white mark appeared on the Treant’s body.

“In terms of defense, it ranks among the best of Tier-2…” After testing them again and again, Yu Zi Yu’s opinion of the Treants rose significantly.

[Just as I suspected, the strength of these Treants depended on their original form. The more extraordinary the original tree, the stronger the Treant that was born from it.]

For instance, the Treant formed from the Shadow Iron Tree excelled in both strength and defense. Of course, it was also incredibly slow and clumsy.

But what intrigued Yi Zu Yi the most was a Treant born from a Cherry Blossom Tree. Its petals danced like falling leaves, creating a truly picturesque sight.

This Treant specialized in Spiritual Energy. It could control the cherry blossoms, turning them into countless sharp blades that could tear a person apart.

“Impressive…” Yu Zi Yu murmured, a hint of admiration in his voice as he regarded the might of the Treant race with genuine satisfaction.

Yu Zi Yu found these Treants more than worthy of being nurtured as his close confidants.

The reason, of course, was that they had far exceeded his expectations in several ways.

Firstly, the Treant Race possessed immense potential.

Much like Humans, their talents varied widely—some were exceptional, while others were less gifted. By carefully selecting the most promising individuals, it was not impossible to raise multiple Tier-4 Natural Disasters or even Tier-5 True Gods.

Secondly, as the Tree Ancestor, Yu Zi Yu had absolute control over these Treants.

Their very lives were in his hands—this was no exaggeration. With such power over them, they were naturally qualified to become his most trusted subordinates.

In fact, to a certain extent, they could become a mysterious and formidable Force under his command.

A rare glimmer of anticipation flickered across Yu Zi Yu’s face as he entertained the thought.  [Just imagine… this new and bizarre race, utterly loyal to me, growing in the shadows of the Demon Court.]

With such a race, how could he ever worry about betrayal? And for those tasks the Demon Court could not handle openly, the Treants would be the perfect solution.

In those moments, when ancient, terrifying trees stepped out of the rift like Demons, they would resolve the issue in secret.

[Damn… that’s quite the idea.] Yu Zi Yu smiled to himself, realizing that he had found the proper way to cultivate the Treant Race.

With this decision made, his Spiritual Energy surged.

*Whoosh…* With a sudden sweep of his countless branches, he lifted the Treants into the air, directing them toward the Realm of Mist.

The Realm of Mist was one of Yu Zi Yu’s Nine Small Worlds.

It had a sky.

It had land.

It even had countless stars.

Everything existed within it.

However, this world was shrouded in perpetual fog.

Endless white mist enveloped everything.

And these mists were formed by Mist Beasts—creatures that roamed the world, occasionally letting out deep howls.

At times, the entire Realm of Mist seemed like a ghostly realm, eerie and foreboding.

Because of this, no living beings resided in this world.

Only the Light and Dark Twin Kings, along with millions of Mist Beasts, wandered its expanse.

But now, Yu Zi Yu had found new inhabitants for this world—the Treant Race.

…

Yu Zi Yu planned to place the entire Treant Race in the Realm of Mist to be nurtured in secret.

In the future, should there be a need to invade other Small Worlds, and if the Demon Court could not act openly, Yu Zi Yu would open the Realm of Mist.

Like a torrent, the white mist would pour out, with countless Mist Beasts hiding inside it, howling like vengeful spirits.

And within the endless fog…

One after another, the monstrous, ghostly Treants would emerge.

The Mist Beasts were ethereal, immortal, and indestructible.

The Treants, on the other hand, were physical beings, most possessing immense strength and bizarre abilities.

The combination of the two would result in something far more terrifying than just one plus one.

This would undoubtedly form an army that would strike fear into the hearts of all Races.

However, with this development, the Realm of Mist would likely gain a new name.

“Tree Realm… that has a nice ring to it.” With a soft chuckle, Yu Zi Yu gave the Realm of Mist a new title.
