“Demon… Court…” A sudden murmur escaped the nearby Golden Monkey, his eyes flickering uncontrollably.

Faintly, one could even catch a subtle hint of inexplicable excitement on his face.

“Demon Court… Demon Court, hahahaha…” Golden Monkey suddenly burst into laughter, unable to suppress his excitement any longer, laughing heartily.

“This is… the revival of the Demon Beast Clan!”

“What’s the matter, Golden Monkey?” A voice asked, with the nearby White Tiger, Nine Tails, and the others looked on in surprise.

They were astonished to see the usually enigmatic and composed Golden Monkey, who rarely showed his emotions, act so wildly.

At that moment, sensing the gaze of the others, Golden Monkey calmed his excitement and explained, “You don’t know what the words ‘Demon Court’ mean to us Demon Beast, do you?”

As he spoke, Golden Monkey provided an explanation, a rare feat on his part, “Countless eras ago, even further back than tens of epochs, when the myriad races coexisted, a Sacred Spirit was born from the Sun Star, whose power shook the ancient past. This being established the ‘Ancient Heavenly Court.’ That’s right, the Ancient Heavenly Court. Even the Heavenly Court of the previous epoch only managed to seize some of the fortune from the most ancient ‘Ancient Heavenly Court,’ thus laying their supreme foundation…”

As they listened, Nine Tails, White Tiger, and the others were stunned.

They had not expected that even the terrifying power of the previous era’s Heavenly Court was built by claiming the fortune of another, more ancient Force.

At that moment…

*Hoooo…* Golden Monkey took a deep breath, then lifted his gaze again, looking at everyone with a hint of nostalgia and reverence as he continued, “The Ancient Heavenly Court had one Emperor and one Sovereign, and beneath them were the Ten Great Demon Commanders… And these Ten Great Demon Commanders were like all of you under Master’s command. Each possessed powers capable of turning the tides. However, compared to you, they were all Hegemons, each capable of shaking the universe…”

“Demon Commander Ji Meng, who had the head of a Dragon, body of a Human, claws of Bird, and feathered arms, could summon clouds and bring rain with a single gesture.

Demon Commander Bai Ze, who had the body of a Lion, two horns on his head, and a goat-like beard, knew both the Heavens and the Earth, and everything in between; he could see the past and predict the future. Born with the ability to speak Human language, he was the undisputed leader among the Primordial Spirit Beasts. If not for his later enlightenment, he would have likely become the leader of the Demon Beast Clan.

Demon Commander Gui Che, also known as the Nine-headed Bird, with red feathers and a duck-like appearance…”

As Golden Monkey spoke, his voice trembled with suppressed excitement, filled with nostalgia and awe.

However, at that moment, realizing something, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes narrowed slightly. He spoke up with a playful tone, “I always thought you had inherited the legacy of the previous epoch, but now it seems that’s not the case, is it?”

With a shadow of a smile playing on his lips, Yu Zi Yu’s voice resonated with a hint of amusement.

“Haha…” Golden Monkey burst into laughter, but did not deny it.

In fact, he suddenly knelt on one knee and confessed, “I am indeed a Golden Monkey who attained the Dao, but the legacy I inherited is not from one era; it spans several epochs. This is the reason why I know so many secrets, including even the Four Forbidden Formations.”

“Several epochs?” Yu Zi Yu’s eyes narrowed further as he was momentarily taken aback.

“Yes, several epochs.” Golden Monkey nodded, confirming, “Besides the previous epoch, there’s the Era of the Demon Sect from four epochs ago, the Divine Era from eleven epochs ago. But the most ancient, the true origin of my inheritance, is from the distant Prehistoric Era…”

“Back then, I was merely an insignificant member of the Demon Beast Clan, but I was favored by a great figure from the Demon Beast Clan, who used Heaven-defying methods to help me survive through the cycles of time, all to one day restore the glory of the ‘Ancient Heavenly Court…’”

As Golden Monkey spoke, his voice was filled with almost maddened excitement. It was understandable, though. By some strange twist of fate or the workings of fortune, his Master had renamed ‘Misty Mountains’ as the ‘Demon Court.’

This was simply unbelievable.

After all, the Ancient Heavenly Court had long disappeared into the annals of history, with no one left who even knew about it.

And now… without any guidance, his Master had unexpectedly uttered this name.

Moreover, under his Master’s command, most of the subordinates were Mutant Beasts who had attained the Dao, and there were even ten Divine Beasts corresponding to the ancient Ten Great Demon Commanders.

However, that was not the most important part.

What mattered most was that the Ancient Demon Court—was established by two Sacred Spirits who had attained enlightenment.

And his Master’s true form had also given rise to one Sacred Spirit—the Azure Dragon.

This… everything, every sign, indicated that Misty Mountains were steadily advancing, step by step, towards becoming the new ‘Ancient Demon Court.’

After his Master renamed Misty Mountains as the ‘Demon Court,’ Golden Monkey’s belief was solidified even further: Misty Mountains… No, to be more precise, the Ancient Heavenly Court had truly been revived. That ancient and terrifying epoch, era of the most fearsome Force, had now genuinely returned.

…

At this moment, quietly watching Golden Monkey, whose expression was on the verge of madness, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes revealed a hint of an indescribable smile.

[How amusing! I had chosen the name simply to provoke the Heavenly Court, yet it has stirred such profound emotions in Golden Monkey. But, perhaps that’s a good thing. Thanks to this revelation, I have uncovered Golden Monkey’s greatest secret. Hahaha]

[If my intuition is correct, Golden Monkey must have been the gatekeeper of the ‘Ancient Heavenly Court’. Not a Dao Protector, but merely a guardian of the gates. He lacked the qualifications to protect the Dao. However, he could still lead the way, igniting the flame once more.]

[Still, in the end, this doesn’t really concern me. An ancient Force that had long vanished from the annals of time—why should I be concerned? It is just that the name ‘Demon Court’ is actually too fitting. It aligns well with my vision.]

…

At this point, Golden Monkey turned slightly and gazed toward the towering Divine Tree in the distance. He then deeply bowed and respectfully stated, “Master, the Ancient Heavenly Court has long disappeared in the river of history. Now that the Heavenly Court has risen again, I will naturally assist you with all my strength…”

As he spoke, Golden Monkey bowed again and added, “However, Master, there is a phrase deeply imprinted in the core of my inherited memories that I wish to offer you…”

“What phrase?” Yu Zi Yu asked with some curiosity.

“This phrase is meant for the Lord of the Heavenly Court… and it holds the greatest secret of my inheritance… It’s said to be related to the Eternal Imperial Artifact of the Demon Beast Clan, which vanished countless epochs ago—the Eastern Emperor Bell…”

(Ashish: Dong Huang Bell)

As Golden Monkey spoke, a solemn expression crossed his face, and his Spiritual Energy suddenly surged.

*Boooooooom!* A sudden thunderous sound tore through the stillness, and a majestic voice, ancient and powerful, resonated through the Realm of Life, “Heaven holds no second Sun, the Earth supports all directions. We, the Eastern Sovereign, rule the universe.”

This was not Golden Monkey’s voice, for this voice carried an inexplicable sense of dominance and awe.

At that moment, the entire Small World fell into a dead silence. There was only that majestic voice, echoing endlessly.

Faintly, countless creatures beheld a golden figure standing tall and unmoving between Heaven and Earth…

Simultaneously, in a place so distant that its location was unfathomable, a bell tolled…

*Donggggg…* The sound was deep and distant, crossing an infinite expanse.

It felt as though all races could hear it.

At the same time, a voice whispered in Yu Zi Yu’s ear, “Don’t… wait… for me…”

It sounded like a murmur, a soft whisper, yet it was accompanied by a thunderous resonance.

*Donggggg…* As if mourning, the entire starry sky reverberated with an indescribable sorrow…
