Chapter 223: Chapter 223: Qi Sea Realm Level 3

While waiting for Gong Qi to repair the Bone Spear, Lin Yun once again became a cultivation fanatic. His days were almost completely filled with training.

Lin Yun meticulously scheduled his days, filling them with Martial Skill and Cultivation Technique practice.

”Not bad. You’ve gained a preliminary grasp of Inch Step, but you still have a long way to go before you can fully comprehend it.” He taught Ning Shuang some of the key points of Inch Step.

As they spent more time together, Ning Shuang’s admiration for Lin Yun grew. Lin Yun was simply a monster; his speed, whether in practicing Martial Skills or Cultivation Techniques, was unbelievably fast.

’Take now, for example. In half a month, I’ve only just grasped the basics of Inch Step, while Lin Yun has already comprehended its True Intent.’

’An Earth Level Upper Tier Body Technique Martial Skill! An ordinary person might not comprehend the True Intent of Inch Step even after ten years of practice, but how long did it take Lin Yun?’

Ning Shuang remembered clearly that back at the Yanhuang Battle Arena, Lin Yun hadn’t yet comprehended the True Intent of Inch Step. But now, in just half a month...

After a day of training and dinner, Lin Yun arrived at the door to Ning Shuang’s room.

”Young Master Lin.” Seeing Lin Yun had come to find her, Ning Shuang looked at him in surprise. As a woman, and a beautiful one at that, ’what should I do if he wants... that?’ Panic began to rise in Ning Shuang’s heart.

Ning Shuang had never been intimate with any man, and Lin Yun had never come to her room on his own initiative before. His sudden arrival threw her into a fluster, and her mind began to race with wild guesses.

”Aren’t you going to invite me in to sit down?” Lin Yun said with a faint smile.

’Does he really want... that? What should I do? He’s my master now. Do I have to submit to him...?’ Ning Shuang was conflicted. After a fierce internal struggle, she finally let Lin Yun into her room.

Ning Shuang was an assassin who walked the Path of Assassination, but her room was no different from that of an ordinary girl. It was clean and tidy, with a faint, fresh fragrance in the air.

After sitting down, Lin Yun finally noticed Ning Shuang standing off to the side, looking fidgety and awkward. Her pretty face was bright red.

At that moment, Ning Shuang looked just like a bashful young girl, nothing at all like an assassin.

”What’s wrong with you? Are you not feeling well?” Lin Yun asked, not understanding why Ning Shuang was acting this way.

”N... No...” she replied in a small voice.

”Oh. Come and sit down,” Lin Yun said, pointing to the chair beside him.

Hearing this, Ning Shuang obediently came and sat down beside Lin Yun. She had already made up her mind. ’If Lin Yun really wants... that, I’ll give it to him. I belong to him now, anyway.’

With a red face and lowered head, Ning Shuang said nothing. As for Lin Yun, he simply took a Secret Manual out from his Space Ring.

Over the past few days, Lin Yun had spent his evenings modifying the Wind Thunder Triple Flash, changing it from a Spear Technique into Swordsmanship.

Ning Shuang used a short sword. The Wind Thunder Triple Flash was a powerful Assassination Spear Technique from the Death Row Shelter—something Lin Yun knew from personal experience. After some slight modifications, Lin Yun found that the Wind Thunder Triple Flash was very suitable for Ning Shuang to practice.

”This is the modified Wind Thunder Triple Flash I’ve been working on these past few days. It’s very suitable for your training. Inch Step is an Earth Level Upper Tier Body Technique, and it’s difficult to comprehend its True Intent in a short time. You don’t need to waste all your time on it. Once you learn the Wind Thunder Triple Flash, your Combat Power should reach a new level,” Lin Yun said with a smile, handing the Secret Manual to Ning Shuang.

The instant their hands touched, Ning Shuang felt a distinct jolt, as if she’d been struck by electricity.

After giving the modified Wind Thunder Triple Flash to Ning Shuang, Lin Yun got up to leave. He had already reached the door, but Ning Shuang was still sitting stunned in her chair.

”Ning Shuang,” Lin Yun called out. His voice snapped Ning Shuang back to her senses, and she looked up at him, already at the door.

”Girls shouldn’t let their imaginations run wild all day. Besides, is that the kind of man you think I am? Get some sleep.” With a smile on his face, Lin Yun turned and left.

Staring blankly in the direction Lin Yun had left, an indescribable feeling welled up in Ning Shuang’s heart—a flicker of excitement, a touch of warmth, and a sense of disbelief.

Having lived her life amidst hatred and bloodshed, Ning Shuang discovered that after meeting Lin Yun, everything around her—including her own personality—had slowly begun to change.

Lin Yun was like the sun in the sky, forcefully illuminating the darkness in her heart and slowly guiding her back into a world of light.

Cradling the Wind Thunder Triple Flash that Lin Yun had left her, Ning Shuang smiled gently and muttered under her breath, ”Such an arrogant man. Who’s letting their imagination run wild...?”

In the days that followed, Ning Shuang and Lin Yun trained together every day. Lin Yun focused on researching the Red Flame Spear Technique and the Wind Thunder Triple Flash. He had succeeded in integrating the first flash of the Wind Thunder Triple Flash into the Red Flame Spear Technique, but as for the second flash, he still didn’t have the slightest clue.

”Have a Spirit Fruit.” After training for an hour, Lin Yun sat down on a stone bench in the courtyard. Ning Shuang came running over cheerfully and handed him the Spirit Fruit she was holding.

Taking a huge bite, Lin Yun looked at Ning Shuang and said with a smile, ”This is how you should be. I like it when you smile.”

Hearing Lin Yun’s words, Ning Shuang’s face immediately turned bright red, and she ran off without another word.

Since being with Lin Yun, Ning Shuang smiled more and more often. She was completely different from the cold person she had been before. To Lin Yun, the smiling Ning Shuang was truly beautiful; it was as if her smile held a kind of Magic Power.

After finishing the Spirit Fruit from Ning Shuang in a few bites, the smile on Lin Yun’s face vanished. After more than twenty days of training, he could already feel the barrier to the Third Layer of Qi Sea Realm. Tonight was the night to break through.

That evening, Lin Yun instructed Ning Shuang not to let anyone enter his room. Tonight, he was going to break through to the Third Layer of Qi Sea Realm.

Although Ning Shuang was astonished by Lin Yun’s cultivation speed, she understood the gravity of the situation and didn’t ask any questions, simply nodding in agreement.

Back in his room, he had Little Ape stand guard for him. With nothing to do lately, Little Ape had just been eating and sleeping, and sleeping and eating, on the verge of becoming a complete pig.

Hearing Lin Yun’s words, Little Ape puffed out its chest and beat it, as if to say, ’Leave it to me.’

With all preparations complete, Lin Yun held his breath and focused his mind, beginning his assault on the barrier to the Third Layer of Qi Sea Realm. He swallowed a Three-Stars Qi Essence Pill, and a surge of pure Elemental Power spread throughout his body.

His Elemental Power from the Second Layer of Qi Sea Realm had reached its peak. Lin Yun activated his two major Cultivation Techniques, using the Elemental Power within his body to charge the barrier of the Third Layer of Qi Sea Realm.

For two full hours, after dozens of assaults, the barrier to the Third Layer of Qi Sea Realm shattered with a BOOM. The Heaven and Earth Primordial Power around Lin Yun rushed madly into his body, as if it had found an outlet.

A vortex of Elemental Power formed with Lin Yun at its center. His body was like a whale swallowing water, furiously absorbing the surrounding Heaven and Earth Primordial Power.
