Chapter 88: Chapter 88: Black Steel Tyrant Fist

HUUU... After finishing a full set of the Red Flame Spear Technique, Lin Yun let out a long, turbid breath and put away his Overlord Spear.

”Not bad, not bad at all. A very fierce and powerful Spear Technique.” As Lin Yun stood with his spear at rest, Qin Shitian’s voice came from outside the courtyard.

”Senior, what brings you here?” Upon seeing Qin Shitian, Lin Yun first bowed respectfully before inviting him to sit on a stone bench in the courtyard.

”News has come back from the Mysterious City,” Qin Shitian said calmly, looking at Lin Yun across from him.

”Oh? And how is it?” Lin Yun asked.

”It’s quite miserable. According to the guards’ reports, both Shanlin and Feng’er have suffered immensely. The Mysterious City truly isn’t a place for ordinary people,” Qin Shitian said. But as soon as he finished speaking, a smile crept onto his face as he continued.

”However, their personalities have changed a lot.”

A faint smile remained on Lin Yun’s face as he listened to Qin Shitian’s account. ’It takes a villain to tame a villain. In the Mysterious City, there were plenty of people far more vicious than Qin Shanlin and his son.’

”Lin Shan, you’ve done me a great service. I’ve been observing you for the past few days and noticed that aside from your Spear Skill Martial Skill, you seem to only have a single Yellow Level Martial Skill for unarmed combat. How about this? As a token of my gratitude, I’ll teach you my Qin Family’s Fist Technique,” Qin Shitian said.

Hearing this, Lin Yun was greatly surprised. ’Teaching a Martial Skill isn’t something done lightly. It requires a deep bond, which I certainly don’t share with the Qin Family. Theirs is a relationship of mutual benefit, nothing more.’

”Senior, I absolutely cannot accept. I have already received my due reward; I can’t be so greedy,” Lin Yun said, waving his hands in refusal.

”Nonsense, nonsense. First, watch me demonstrate it. It’s not some high-level technique, so I don’t even know if you’ll find it worthy of your time,” Qin Shitian said with a laugh.

Without waiting for a reply, Qin Shitian ignored Lin Yun’s protests and went to the center of the courtyard to begin his demonstration.

”This Fist Technique is called the Black Steel Tyrant Fist. I came across it by a stroke of luck in my youth. It’s only a Profound Mechanism Low Tier technique, known for its sheer ferocity...” Qin Shitian explained as he demonstrated.

As a Qi Sea Realm Martial Artist, Qin Shitian’s entire demeanor became incredibly fierce as he executed the Black Steel Tyrant Fist. Each punch he threw was accompanied by the sound of rushing wind.

”The Black Steel Tyrant Fist has ’domination’ as its soul. You must fight with its domineering power. To be domineering is to be fearless, to be dauntless, to be confident!”

By the time he finished the full set of the Black Steel Tyrant Fist, Lin Yun’s eyes were burning with enthusiasm. Although the Black Steel Tyrant Fist was much weaker than the Red Flame Spear Technique and the Wind Thunder Triple Flash, it was the perfect solution to one of his weaknesses.

Unarmed combat was currently Lin Yun’s weakest area. Because he had no Martial Skill to support it, even with his Flawless Flesh Body, he couldn’t bring out its full potential.

”Senior, this gift is too precious. I...” But for all his excitement, Lin Yun had his principles. ’The Qin Family has already given me more than enough. I’m not a greedy person.’

”Haha! I wouldn’t say I’m an infallible judge of character, but I’ve met my share of young talents in my lifetime. ’A gentleman may love wealth, but he acquires it only through righteous means.’ Lin Shan, you are a fine young man. As for the Black Steel Fist, don’t give it a second thought. You’ve earned it,” Qin Shitian said with a hearty laugh.

With things having been said so plainly, Lin Yun didn’t refuse any further. To continue doing so would seem insincere. In his heart, however, Lin Yun had his own plans.

”Watch closely.” For the next few days, Qin Shitian would come every day to teach Lin Yun the Black Steel Tyrant Fist. However, after just three days, Qin Shitian was speechless.

In three days’ time, Lin Yun had comprehended a trace of the Black Steel Tyrant Fist’s True Intent. This greatly shocked Qin Shitian, who had practiced it for decades.

’To think, I’ve practiced the Black Steel Tyrant Fist for decades! It took me a full ten years to grasp its True Intent, yet Lin Yun did it in three days... even if it was just a trace.’

”Lin Shan, in all my life, I’ve never seen anything like you. Well, there’s nothing more I can teach you about the Black Steel Tyrant Fist,” Qin Shitian said with a wry smile, looking at Lin Yun as if he were some kind of monster.

In that instant, Qin Shitian truly felt his age.

Of course, Qin Shitian didn’t know that the reason Lin Yun could comprehend the True Intent so quickly was entirely due to the Demon Emperor Technique.

”The Black Steel Tyrant Fist... not bad. It solves my most pressing problem,” Lin Yun said with a smile after practicing the set again.

Lin Yun was busy for the next few days. He was quite fond of the Black Steel Tyrant Fist, especially the concept of ’domination’ at its core.

To be domineering is to be fearless, to be dauntless, to be confident. This was the True Intent of the Black Steel Tyrant Fist.

”ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!” Seeing Lin Yun practicing, Little Ape instantly grew larger, becoming the same size as Lin Yun.

”You want to learn too?” Lin Yun asked, hearing Little Ape’s roars.

ROAR! ROAR! With two more roars, Little Ape was by Lin Yun’s side. Three months had passed, and Little Ape had grown considerably. Its black fur was beginning to shed, slowly being replaced by fur the color of blood.

”What a monster. Who’s ever heard of a Demon Beast learning a Martial Skill?” Lin Yun muttered.

Little Ape was insistent, so in the end, Lin Yun let it practice alongside him. ’In any case, how could a Demon Beast possibly learn a human’s Martial Skill?’ he thought. ’Little Ape is probably just acting on a whim.’

However, after just three short days, Lin Yun’s eyes were about to pop out of his head in shock.

”What the hell? Are you even a real Demon Beast?” Lin Yun couldn’t help but ask, staring dumbfounded at Little Ape.

In three days’ time, Little Ape had actually completely comprehended the True Intent of the Black Steel Tyrant Fist.

’Three days. In just three days, Little Ape grasped the True Intent even faster than I did...’

”A complete freak.” For the first time, Lin Yun found himself uttering such a word.

Seeing Lin Yun’s shocked expression, Little Ape danced with joy, looking just like a happy child.

”Heh heh. Since you’ve learned the Black Steel Tyrant Fist too, how about we have a little match?” Lin Yun said to Little Ape with a mischievous grin.

Upon hearing his words, Little Ape understood immediately. A moment later, a wild battle between man and ape erupted in the courtyard.

Lin Yun had a Flawless Flesh Body, so strong that even Qi Sea Realm Martial Artists couldn’t match it. However, facing Little Ape, Lin Yun discovered that his Flawless Flesh Body gave him no advantage at all.

It was as if Little Ape’s body was born for combat; both its muscular Explosive Power and the toughness of its physique were nothing short of perfect.

As he wildly threw punches from the Black Steel Tyrant Fist, Lin Yun, facing Little Ape, finally experienced a truly satisfying, all-out fight.

Up until now, Lin Yun had been virtually invincible against anyone in his Realm, always challenging those at higher levels. But now, he finally understood what it meant to meet his match. He couldn’t break through Little Ape’s defenses, and Little Ape couldn’t break through his, either.

”Haha, this is great! Little Ape, take this!” With a loud laugh, Lin Yun threw a heavy punch, an overwhelmingly domineering aura emanating from his fist.

”ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!” Faced with Lin Yun’s ultimate punch, Little Ape roared in response, a dense Battle Intent flaring within its scarlet eyes.
