Divine Emperor Demon Emperor

Chapter 66: Chapter 66: Wind Thunder Triple Flash

Lin Yun asked for one week. Iron Blood and the Blood Refining Ancestor considered it. They had no idea what trick Lin Yun had up his sleeve. A week was incredibly short, gone in the blink of an eye. The two of them couldn’t imagine what use he could possibly have for a single week.

”Alright, we agree to your terms.” After a long silence, Iron Blood finally gave his consent. ’He couldn’t imagine how Lin Yun could possibly find a way to defeat a Martial Artist at the First Layer of the Qi Sea Realm in just one week.’

”Good. It’s a deal,” Lin Yun replied, his voice firm and resolute.

Seeing Lin Yun so stubbornly agree, Ye Yunlong, who was in the stands, was so furious he nearly coughed up blood. ’In his eyes, Lin Yun was simply courting death. The man had to be out of his mind.’

The two parties had reached an agreement in front of everyone. Even if Ye Yunlong wanted to intervene, there was nothing he could do. He had already cursed Lin Yun a thousand times over in his mind.

Young Master Yun versus the disciple of the Wind Forest Sect, in one week’s time. The many Martial Artists present were already looking forward to the day of the battle.

With grim faces, Lin Yun and the others returned to the Death Row Shelter. The moment they walked through the door, Ye Yunlong roared at Lin Yun, ”Lin Yun, are you insane? Are you trying to hand your inher... your life over to them?”

In his fury, Ye Yunlong had nearly let the truth slip, but he corrected himself in an instant.

At these words, Lin Yun’s expression remained calm. ’Only he understood the real reason he had dared to accept a duel one week from now. It was because both his War God Technique and his Demon Emperor Technique were about to break through to the First Layer.’

Both of these Unparalleled Techniques had nine layers in total. Even before officially entering the First Layer, the War God Technique and Demon Emperor Technique were already this powerful. Once they broke through, Lin Yun was convinced the might of the two techniques would at least double.

”Lin Yun, I’m talking to you! Did you hear me or not?” Ye Yunlong bellowed when Lin Yun remained silent.

”Lord Ye, Imprisoned Dragon is injured. I’d like to help him to his room to rest. I will come find you afterward,” Lin Yun replied calmly to Ye Yunlong’s shouting, then led Imprisoned Dragon away.

On the way, a worried Imprisoned Dragon tried to persuade Lin Yun not to go through with the fight. He told him that the gap between the Qi Sea Realm and the Opening Realm was simply too vast; Lin Yun would be no match for his opponent.

Lin Yun merely smiled and told Imprisoned Dragon that he knew what he was doing and not to worry.

After getting Imprisoned Dragon settled, Lin Yun returned to the main hall to find Ye Yunlong. The moment he saw Lin Yun, Ye Yunlong snapped in a cold voice, ”Lin Yun, are you insane? Do you have any idea how big the gap is between the Qi Sea Realm and the Opening Realm?”

Heedless of Ye Yunlong’s shouting, Lin Yun calmly walked over to a seat and sat down. ”Lord Ye, there is a matter I would like to ask your guidance on.”

”Speak,” Ye Yunlong replied irritably.

”Lord Ye, you are worldly and experienced. You must know that even Martial Artists are categorized into different tiers.”

Hearing this question, Ye Yunlong instantly knew what Lin Yun was getting at. With a sneer, he said, ”You’re trying to say you’re a Demon Fiend, capable of killing enemies across a Great Realm, is that it?”

”That’s right. Martial Artists are divided into tiers. Geniuses can kill enemies several Small Realms above them, and Demon Fiends can even kill across a Great Realm. But do you have any idea that in the entire Eastern Domain, only five people are publicly acknowledged as Demon Fiends?”

”And you think you have the Combat Power of a Demon Fiend? Let me tell you the truth. To become a Demon Fiend, you not only need innate genius but also immense fortune. In a small place like Yanhuang Country, even if your aptitude meets the requirement, your fortune is sorely lacking.”

Ye Yunlong made no effort to spare Lin Yun’s feelings. ’In his view, Lin Yun’s arrogance knew no bounds. To actually compare himself to a Demon Fiend...’

The entire Eastern Domain was immense, home to hundreds of millions, if not billions, of Martial Artists, yet there were only five Demon Fiends. Ye Yunlong had once met one of them.

It was the Young Master of the Death Row Shelter. When Ye Yunlong had met him, he himself had been in the Qi Sea Realm, while the other party was merely in the Opening Realm.

Despite being a Great Realm higher, Ye Yunlong had felt an immense pressure from the Young Master—a suppression that came from pure Combat Power.

Lin Yun paid no mind to Ye Yunlong’s disdain. He knew full well that becoming a Demon Fiend was no easy task. Every Demon Fiend, provided they didn’t die prematurely, was destined to become a legend—a story told for generations.

”Lord Ye, I wouldn’t dare call myself a Demon Fiend,” Lin Yun continued, ”but I would like to ask you: would this disciple from the Wind Forest Sect be considered a genius?”

At this, Ye Yunlong’s disdain only deepened. ”Pah! Him? A genius? His aptitude is considered absolute bottom-tier in the Wind Forest Sect. He’s nearly thirty and has only just barely reached the Qi Sea Realm. Someone like that will never reach the Primordial Ocean Realm in this lifetime.”

”Then that’s all I need to know. Since matters have come to this, I only hope Lord Ye will grant me one request. I guarantee that in one week, I will cut that man down with my spear,” Lin Yun said, rising to his feet and bowing.

Seeing how serious Lin Yun was, Ye Yunlong began to wonder if he really did have an ace up his sleeve. During his time with Lin Yun, aside from the matter of the legacy techniques, Ye Yunlong had also been observing him secretly. He was a very level-headed young man. It was hard to believe he would act so rashly.

At this thought, Ye Yunlong’s expression softened slightly. ”Tell me. As long as it’s within my power, I can agree.”

”Thank you, Lord Ye. I would like a Spear Technique Manual. Any tier will do, but the higher the better. My current weakness lies in my Martial Skills. If I had a High Tier Spear Skill Martial Skill, I am confident I could slay that man.”

Lin Yun’s request wasn’t difficult, and it was also quite reasonable. After a moment’s thought, Ye Yunlong agreed. With a flash from the Space Ring on his right hand, an ancient Secret Manual appeared in his grasp.

”This is a Spear Technique Manual from my Death Row Shelter, called Wind Thunder Triple Flash. It’s a Profound Level Upper Tier skill. The entire Spear Technique has only three moves, but once mastered, each one is fatal. However, with only seven days... ’how much can you possibly learn?’”

He tossed the Secret Manual to Lin Yun, still feeling deeply uncertain. ’In just seven short days, it would be impossible for Lin Yun to master even a single move.’

Gazing at the Wind Thunder Triple Flash in his hands, Lin Yun’s eyes burned with fervor. ”In seven days, Lord Ye, you will have your answer.”

Seeing Lin Yun’s confidence, Ye Yunlong said nothing more. ’I’ll make some preparations on the side,’ he thought to himself. ’If Lin Yun is about to lose, I’ll intervene by force. I’m even prepared to flee Yanhuang Country with him if I have to.’ Having cultivated the Thunder God Technique Lin Yun had given him, Ye Yunlong was keenly aware of how powerful the Cultivation Technique was. He couldn’t let Lin Yun die. ’Even if he has to die, it can only be after I get the complete legacy.’

’Wind Thunder Triple Flash...’ Muttering the name to himself on the way back, Lin Yun first stopped by Imprisoned Dragon’s room. After seeing he was alright, Lin Yun returned to his own room and began to carefully study the Wind Thunder Triple Flash.

’As expected of a Martial Skill from the Death Row Shelter,’ Lin Yun thought. It was a Spear Technique renowned for its speed. Each thrust carried the momentum of wind and thunder. It was not only fast but also possessed astonishing killing power. It was perfectly suited for assassination; all three moves were designed to be one-hit kills.
