Chapter 83: Chapter 83: Vomiting Blood from Anger

Lin Yun’s words left Qin Feng stunned for a long moment, then his body began to tremble uncontrollably—with rage. ’I’ve always thought of myself as a scoundrel, but who would’ve guessed this ordinary-looking guy is even more shameless than me? How could he come up with an excuse like that?’

”You scoundrel!” Qin Feng roared furiously. ”I won’t pay you a thing! If you have the guts, just try and lay a hand on me. I guarantee you won’t live to see tomorrow.”

Lin Yun’s only response was a series of slaps. SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! Three lightning-fast slaps landed on Qin Feng’s face, which instantly turned bright red.

”The Qin Family doesn’t scare me. But since you brought them up, I’ll certainly pay them a visit. Before that, compensate them for their losses.” As he spoke, Lin Yun pointed a finger toward the old man and the young girl at the side.

Qin Feng said nothing, but it was clear from his expression that getting him to compensate the pair was out of the question.

With a faint smile, Lin Yun decided he couldn’t be bothered to waste any more words and took direct action. Qin Feng’s pained screams echoed all around. In the end, after a thorough beating, Qin Feng compensated the old man and the young girl with over a thousand Gold Coins.

”Thank you, thank you! Thank you so much, young hero.”

”Thank you, big brother.” Upon receiving the compensation, the old man and the young girl thanked Lin Yun profusely. In response, Lin Yun simply smiled and told them to leave first; what happened next had nothing to do with them, and he didn’t want them getting caught up in it.

”Let’s go. Didn’t you say the Qin Family wouldn’t let me off? I’ll go with you and see for myself.” Kicking Qin Feng in the rear, Lin Yun urged him toward the Qin Family’s home.

The crowd had no idea what Lin Yun was up to, but seeing him head for the Qin Family, many followed at a distance, eager to watch the show.

Kicked in the ass by Lin Yun the whole way, a miserable Qin Feng finally arrived at the gates of the Qin Family estate.

Located in the center of town, the Qin Family estate lived up to its reputation as the town’s most powerful force. The entire residence was imposing and occupied a vast plot of land.

”Hm, not bad. Let’s go.” With a slight nod, Lin Yun strode into the Qin Family compound, carrying Qin Feng like a helpless chick.

”Halt! Who are you? How dare you trespass on Qin Family grounds? Are you looking to die?” Lin Yun had barely taken two steps past the main gate when a sharp voice rang out, and more than ten Qin Family guards instantly surrounded him.

Seeing his family’s guards, Qin Feng called out weakly, ”Help... Help me.”

Hearing his voice, the guards looked and saw Qin Feng in Lin Yun’s grasp. Instantly, they all drew their weapons, shouting at Lin Yun as if facing a formidable foe, ”Let the young master go, or you will certainly die today!”

”Just a piece of trash. If you want him, take him.” At those words, Lin Yun tossed Qin Feng toward the guards. The impact sent four or five of them reeling.

”You brat! You dare strike Young Master Qin Feng? Today is the day you die!” With Qin Feng no longer in his hands, the guards charged fiercely at Lin Yun.

Against the Qin Family’s host of guards, the outcome was never in doubt. Lin Yun dispatched them with ease. Within fifteen minutes, the entire front courtyard was littered with bodies. Some had broken legs, others had broken arms, and many were clutching their stomachs, their wails of agony rising and falling in waves.

”Who dares cause trouble at the Qin Family estate?” At that moment, two figures emerged from the rear courtyard: a middle-aged man and a white-haired elder.

’The main players have finally arrived.’ Seeing the two men, Lin Yun didn’t panic. Instead, he just smiled faintly.

These two were the Qin Family’s two Qi Sea Realm Martial Artists. The middle-aged man was the current Qin Family Patriarch and Qin Feng’s father, while the elder was the previous Patriarch and Qin Feng’s grandfather.

Seeing the injured Qin Family guards, the middle-aged man’s expression turned grim as he stared at Lin Yun. ”Brat, is this all your doing?”

”That’s right,” Lin Yun said. ”I came to the Qin Family to ask for compensation. But who knew I’d get beaten up the moment I stepped inside? Now the compensation will have to be doubled.”

”You little bastard, where are you even hurt?” Although Lin Yun was only at the Fifth Layer of Opening, he had single-handedly defeated so many Opening Realm Martial Artists. The middle-aged man couldn’t help but wonder if Lin Yun was a genius from some major family or power.

”Hmph. Go ask them. First, on the street, two of Qin Feng’s guards attacked me. Then, just now, these people attacked me when I arrived here. Is the Qin Family completely unreasonable?”

Listening to Lin Yun, the middle-aged man suppressed his rage and asked with forced patience, ”Fine. You say my Qin Family guards attacked you. Then why are you completely unharmed while they are? And what, exactly, did they use to hit you?”

”Hmph. Your Qin Family guards repeatedly used their faces to strike my hand. See? My hand is all red and swollen now.” He said this with a completely straight face, even extending his palm for the middle-aged man to inspect.

At this, the middle-aged man finally snapped. ’I’m a Qi Sea Realm Martial Artist, and I’m being made a fool of by some kid who’s only in the Fifth Layer of the Opening Realm!’

”Brat, you’re looking for death! How dare you mock the Qin Family! Fine! I’ll capture you myself and teach you a proper lesson!” Saying this, the middle-aged man charged toward Lin Yun.

In response, Lin Yun used Inch Step and easily dodged the man’s strike. The middle-aged man was shocked by Lin Yun’s speed; he hadn’t even been able to clearly see how he moved.

”Brat, let’s see how long you can keep running!” As a Martial Artist at the Second Layer of Qi Sea Realm, the middle-aged man was absolutely confident he could handle Lin Yun.

However, the scene that followed shocked the onlookers. The middle-aged man launched one attack after another, yet he failed to land a single blow, not even touching a hair on Lin Yun’s head.

Instead, with every attack the middle-aged man launched, Lin Yun would retaliate by crippling the hand or foot of another guard. The sight made the middle-aged man’s heart bleed; these were guards the Qin Family had gone to great expense and effort to train.

”Brat, cease your impudence!” As the middle-aged man was being thwarted, the elder, who had been watching from the sidelines, finally made his move. The two Qi Sea Realm Martial Artists now besieged Lin Yun together.

The elder’s Cultivation was higher than the middle-aged man’s, reaching the Fourth Layer of Qi Sea Realm. Yet, even with both of them working together, they still couldn’t lay a finger on Lin Yun.

”Aargh... My hand!”

”Aaaah... My foot!”

Miserable screams echoed one after another. Nearly ten Opening Realm guards now had their hands or feet crippled by Lin Yun.

Unable to catch him, the two men were filled with power they had no way to use. Lin Yun was simply too fast; they were helpless against him.

”Aaargh! Brat, what is it you want?!” the middle-aged man finally asked in defeat, left with no other options.

”It’s simple,” Lin Yun declared with an air of righteous indignation. ”Compensate me for my losses.”

Upon hearing this, the middle-aged man could no longer bear it and spat out a mouthful of blood. ’We’ve been fighting all this time, and he hasn’t even been scratched! On the other hand, my Qin Family has had more than ten guards crippled, and now he wants *us* to compensate *him*?’

The middle-aged man was furious, and a new round of the chase began.
