Chapter 61: Chapter 61: Imprisoned Dragon’s Purpose

Both the Iron Blood Young Master and Imprisoned Dragon were injured. The many Martial Artists from Mysterious City watching from below the stage had never expected the Imprisoned Dragon Young Master to fight so desperately. This was no longer an arena match; it was more like a battle to the death.

”Seven Kills—Second Slash.” Raising his blade, Imprisoned Dragon instantly unleashed the second strike of his Seven Kills technique.

”Damn it, Imprisoned Dragon! Do you really want us to die together? Iron Fist!” Seeing Imprisoned Dragon charge again, the Iron Blood Young Master was furious enough to spit blood. With a savage roar, he met the attack with his own fist.

”Seven Kills—Third Slash.”

”Seven Kills—Fourth Slash.” He unleashed two strikes in quick succession—the third and fourth slashes of his Seven Kills. At that moment, Imprisoned Dragon’s power was undeniable.

Faced with Imprisoned Dragon’s desperate assault, the Iron Blood Young Master no longer dared to hold anything back. He unleashed his Iron Fist to its absolute limit, clashing violently with Imprisoned Dragon’s Seven Kills.

Imprisoned Dragon was fighting by trading blow for blow, injury for injury. He completely disregarded the Iron Blood Young Master’s attacks, focused only on cutting him down.

Imprisoned Dragon fought with no regard for his own life, but the Iron Blood Young Master dared not do the same. He never used his full power in an attack, always holding something in reserve, because he knew that fellow wouldn’t defend himself at all—he would only trade injury for injury.

The two of them went back and forth, locked in a fierce struggle on the stage. Terrifying waves of Elemental Power erupted from their bodies.

”Enough, Imprisoned Dragon! I’m done fighting...!” The Iron Blood Young Master no longer wanted to fight this madman. ’This makes no sense,’ he thought. The two of them had no personal grudges, nor were there any conflicting interests. He couldn’t understand why Imprisoned Dragon was fighting so desperately.

But while the Iron Blood Young Master wanted to stop, Imprisoned Dragon continued his relentless assault, not giving him a single moment to catch his breath.

”Damn it to hell, Imprisoned Dragon! Do you really want to settle this with life or death?” Tangled in the bitter struggle and sporting several new wounds, the Iron Blood Young Master felt incredibly frustrated. Even though Imprisoned Dragon was also seriously injured, the whole situation was infuriating.

”Fine! If you want a fight to the death, I’ll give you one!” No longer able to suppress the fire in his heart, the Iron Blood Young Master threw his strongest punch. His Iron Fist tore through the air with a piercing whistle, smashing toward Imprisoned Dragon like a giant hammer.

Facing the Iron Blood Young Master’s strongest punch, Imprisoned Dragon also put his full power into the fourth slash of his Seven Kills. The gleam of the blade and the imprint of the fist collided violently in mid-air. With a deafening BOOM, the entire arena stage was obliterated.

Everyone stared with wide eyes. The stage had been built from solid bluestone, which even a Qi Sea Realm expert couldn’t destroy so easily. Yet now, it had been reduced to dust at their hands. It was clear just how terrifying their final attacks had been.

As the dust settled, two figures slowly appeared before the crowd. Both had exhausted their full strength in that last exchange, and now, not even a tenth of their Elemental Power remained.

Imprisoned Dragon violently spat out several mouthfuls of fresh blood, his face becoming deathly pale. The Iron Blood Young Master fared no better; he had a gash on his body deep enough to show bone, and his entire aura was faint and depleted.

Taking a deep breath, the already staggering Imprisoned Dragon raised his short blade once more, looking as if he intended to charge the Iron Blood Young Master again.

Upon seeing this, it wasn’t just the Iron Blood Young Master who was stunned—the entire crowd was dumbfounded. ’Has he really gone mad? Beaten to such a state, and he still wants to fight?’

”Stop!” Just then, Iron Blood, who could no longer stand by, rose and shouted. The might of a Primordial Ocean Realm expert instantly descended upon Imprisoned Dragon, crushing him to the ground.

”That’s enough. We’ll call this match a draw.” Iron Blood’s face was murderous, but he suppressed his anger for the moment. His gaze on Imprisoned Dragon was filled with ice.

With Iron Blood having forcefully stopped the match, the Iron Blood Young Master was helped away by members of the Iron Blood Gang. Lin Yun rushed to Imprisoned Dragon’s side and helped him down from the stage.

”Are you trying to get yourself killed?” Lin Yun asked, a hint of anger in his voice as he looked at the severely injured Imprisoned Dragon. He couldn’t understand why he had fought with such desperation.

”Now you know their true strength, don’t you?” Imprisoned Dragon said weakly, ignoring Lin Yun’s question.

Hearing this, the anger in Lin Yun’s heart instantly vanished, replaced by a profound sense of gratitude. ’He fought so desperately just to let me see their full strength beforehand.’

A wave of emotion washed over him. Lin Yun didn’t know why Imprisoned Dragon would help him like this, but it didn’t matter. He had already done more than enough. At this point, regardless of his motives, Lin Yun already saw him as a brother.

”Their strength isn’t as simple as you think. The Blood Refining Young Master is on par with the Iron Blood Young Master. You need to be prepared when you go up there,” Imprisoned Dragon continued.

”I know. Don’t talk anymore. Just rest and heal. Here, take this.” Lin Yun said softly, looking at Imprisoned Dragon as he fed one of his own Healing Elixirs into his mouth.

While Lin Yun worried over Imprisoned Dragon, the Iron Blood Young Master was cursing nonstop. Though severely wounded, he had immediately taken the Healing Medicine given to him by Iron Blood and had already recovered some of his strength.

Glaring venomously in Imprisoned Dragon’s direction, the Iron Blood Young Master snarled, ”That mad dog. Fine. You want to fight to the death? Just wait until I’ve recovered. I’ll hunt you down and kill you, Imprisoned Dragon! You’re nothing but a rabid animal... COUGH! COUGH! COUGH!”

He was already severely injured, and the fit of rage made it worse, causing him to cough up more blood. Seeing this, a nearby Iron Blood Gang member quickly tried to calm him. ”Young Master, don’t be angry. It won’t be too late to kill that kid after you’ve recovered.”

”Hmph. I definitely won’t let him go. Imprisoned Dragon, you just wait! I, the Iron Blood Young Master, am not done with you!” he raged. ’What damned luck, running into a madman like that.’

While the Iron Blood Young Master raged, the first match came to an end. Soon, a group of Martial Artists began to clear the arena. Even though the stage had been shattered, the rubble still had to be removed.

”Lin Yun, be careful when you face the Blood Refining Young Master. You know what they’re capable of now. Don’t do anything reckless.” Seeing that Lin Yun was about to take the stage, Imprisoned Dragon reminded him again.

Hearing this, Lin Yun gave a slight smile, signaling for Imprisoned Dragon not to worry. ”Don’t you worry. I know my own limits. I’ll be fine. You’re the one who needs to get some rest.”

At these words, a rare smile appeared on Imprisoned Dragon’s face. ’Actually, there was another reason I did all that,’ he thought, ’but I didn’t tell Lin Yun.’

’It was true that I wanted to force out the Iron Blood Young Master’s full power for Lin Yun to see,’ he reflected, ’but there was another reason: to completely incapacitate him. That way, Lin Yun would only have to face the Blood Refining Young Master.’

’This way, his chances of winning are much, much higher.’

’Since you want their treasure, I’ll risk my life to help you get it,’ Imprisoned Dragon vowed internally.
