Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 539: Chapter 290: She Has a Barrier

”Go, why wouldn’t I? I’ll take Lawrence to change his dressing later, you don’t need to call again, we’re very busy.”

Nick Zeller snorted and hung up the phone.

Kenneth Osborne sat on the sofa, recalling the day Edward Foster brought a doctor to bandage Lawrence Winters, and then Lawrence had a high fever.

Isn’t the reason quite obvious?

Kenneth Osborne stood up from the sofa, his face ashen.

He grabbed his car keys and left.

All the way, he drove his Tesla like the wind, quickly arriving at the building of the Foster Consortium.

He called Edward Foster from downstairs, saying, ”Edward Foster, it’s Kenneth Osborne, I have something to ask you.”

Edward Foster initially didn’t want to take the call, but after his secretary said it was AI Vision Promise’s boss Kenneth Osborne, he answered lazily, ”...I don’t think we have any business intersections, what can I do for you, Mr. Osborne?”

Kenneth Osborne calmly said, ”It’s about Nora, do you have time, Little Mr. Foster?”

Edward Foster really wanted to say ”no time!”, but he couldn’t resist wanting to know more about Lawrence Winters, so he reluctantly said, ”Alright, come up, I have five minutes.”

”Nora is only worth five minutes of your time.” Kenneth Osborne smiled and got out of the car.

He was still wearing his work suit and tie, with an unparalleled handsome charm and a touch of ascetic sharpness.

As he walked into the Foster Consortium building, everyone’s eyes were fixed on him, unable to look away.

Not to mention his appearance, ever since he graduated, even his presence had been growing, making people involuntarily submit and evade.

The receptionist, who usually required registration and ID checks, completely forgot her duties. As soon as she heard he was looking for Little Mr. Foster, she immediately personally led the way ahead, allowing Kenneth Osborne into the elevator, and even pressed the floor button for him.

Kenneth Osborne nodded slightly to express his gratitude.

The receptionist’s face turned red, and she almost floated back to her station.

The elevator went all the way up, quickly reaching the floor where Edward Foster was.

Kenneth Osborne walked over calmly and confidently, finding Edward Foster’s CEO office with ease.

Although he hadn’t been here before, office floor plans were similar, and guidance to Edward Foster’s CEO office was everywhere; all he had to do was follow the signs.

Edward Foster’s NewHuman Entertainment Company was in the entertainment business. The staff, upon seeing Kenneth Osborne, those who didn’t recognize him thought he was a newly signed celebrity, and they all looked at him with starstruck eyes.

Those few who did recognize him, such as one of Edward Foster’s secretaries, wouldn’t stop him either.

Thus, he walked in as if it was a place with no one watching.

Arriving at Edward Foster’s office door, Kenneth Osborne politely knocked, and without waiting for a response, pushed the door open and went inside, casually locking the door behind him.

Edward Foster looked up to see a tall, handsome man standing at the door, and it took him a moment to react—it was Kenneth Osborne.

To think someone could be more handsome than him, Edward Foster felt a hint of jealousy.

”Mr. Osborne, you came so quickly, please have a seat.” Edward Foster smiled, coming around from behind his desk, gesturing towards the sofa.

Kenneth Osborne didn’t move. He looked at Edward Foster and said in a deep voice, ”You brought a doctor to suture Nora’s wounds three days ago. Who’s that doctor? Does he have a medical license?”

The tone was extremely unfriendly.

Edward Foster listened as if being interrogated and immediately put on a stern face, ”What do you mean?! That’s our family doctor! A renowned ’master of surgery’! People line up to get his specialist number, and appointments are booked till next year! —Who are you to question if he has a medical license?!”

”Does having a medical license justify endangering lives?! Do you know that because of him, Nora had a high fever for three whole days?! Went up to 39.5 degrees!” Kenneth Osborne could no longer bear it.

Bang!

He threw a punch, and Edward Foster hurriedly dodged, but he was still a beat slower than Kenneth Osborne.

His left cheek took the punch, and he immediately felt his jaw loosen, and smelled a hint of blood—it must be from a bleeding lip.

”How dare you hit me!” Edward Foster was furious, throwing a punch back at Kenneth Osborne.

Kenneth Osborne blocked with his arm and simultaneously kicked, targeting Edward Foster’s lower body.

Edward Foster leapt up, avoiding Kenneth Osborne’s lower attack, but Kenneth Osborne’s arm swept across, hitting Edward Foster’s arm and nearly fracturing it.

Edward Foster screamed in pain, fell to the ground, holding his arm, and shouted for help.

People outside heard the commotion and rushed over, but couldn’t open the door.

Hearing Edward Foster shout for help, they couldn’t get in, didn’t know what happened, and didn’t dare to call the police, so they all called for help from the Foster Consortium’s CEO office.

Kenneth Osborne beat up Edward Foster, feeling somewhat relieved.

He straightened his sleeves, unlocked the door, and walked out.

Still with that carefree, noble demeanor, not a hair was out of place.

Inside, Edward Foster staggered to his feet, much worse off than Kenneth Osborne.

Half his face was swollen, blood trickled from his mouth, his previously slicked hair was a mess, and his suit was disheveled, looking like a beggar’s clothes.

At this time, an elegant middle-aged woman came over after hearing the news, surprised to ask, ”Edward, what happened to you? Who did you fight with?”

Kenneth Osborne paused slightly, but soon hurriedly walked towards the door.

At this time, Gabriel Foster’s middle-aged female secretary also came in.

She was sent by the Foster Consortium’s CEO office to accompany Madam Foster and sternly said, ”Was it you who assaulted our Little Mr. Foster just now?”

Kenneth Osborne said nothing, but Edward Foster felt embarrassed and covered his face, shouting, ”Secretary Zhou, what nonsense are you talking about?! When was I beaten? We were just sparring! Sparring, do you understand?!”
