Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 516: Chapter 278: Why Not Eat Meat Porridge (First Update) (Part 2)

As they were speaking, this person led Autumn Stetford and Ruby Sheldon into a small private room inside.

Aiden Sheldon was indeed inside, happily munching away.

Autumn Stetford heard someone in the breakfast shop talking and knew that the person who shared breakfast with Aiden Sheldon was most likely Lawrence Winters, who had just left.

Ruby Sheldon also realized this and happily shouted, ”Dad! You’re so hard to find!”

Then she dashed over and sat beside Aiden Sheldon.

Aiden Sheldon had just finished his fish porridge and was eating his pan-fried buns.

Upon hearing Ruby Sheldon’s voice, he looked up, surprised and pleased, and saw Ruby had already dashed over. He quickly asked, ”Do you want some pan-fried buns? They’re really good.”

Ruby Sheldon quickly shook her head, chuckling, ”No, I already ate at home. Fresh-baked bread by the chef, along with homemade blueberry yogurt and banana oatmeal milk porridge.”

”Good girl.” Aiden Sheldon’s mood immediately lifted upon seeing Ruby Sheldon, and he looked up at Autumn Stetford, smiling, ”You’re here too.”

Autumn Stetford sighed with relief, walked over and sat on his other side, saying, ”You suddenly left yesterday and no one could find you. I almost didn’t sleep at all. It wasn’t until I got an email from the international board this morning saying you made a lot of money for the company again last night that I went to find your secretary.”

Aiden Sheldon smiled and said, ”He said that? No worries now, I wasn’t planning to disturb you last night. I just happened to seize an opportunity, as you know, we are also in investment, and such opportunities are hard to pass up.”

”Yes, opportunities are very precious, but we’re more worried about your health.” Autumn Stetford frowned slightly, ”You keep reversing day and night like this; it will ruin your health. How about we go back abroad, where you can work if you want to, or travel with Betty and me if you don’t? And if you must manage personally, at least you won’t be staying up all night.”

Ruby Sheldon didn’t really want to go abroad, she quickly glanced at her mom, then at her dad.

Although Aiden Sheldon was talking to Autumn Stetford, at least half of his attention was on Ruby Sheldon.

Seeing her expression, he knew she didn’t want to go abroad.

Aiden Sheldon turned his gaze back, finishing the last pan-fried bun, and said to Autumn Stetford, ”I want to shift my business focus back domestically, and if it’s inconvenient for you, you can head back first, while Betty and I explore around here.”

Ruby Sheldon immediately became happy, resting her head on Aiden Sheldon’s arm, and laughingly said, ”Dad’s the best! I want to be with Dad!”

Autumn Stetford was both exasperated and amused, saying, ”Now you just want Dad and not Mom? Hmph! It’s a waste raising you as a daughter!”

”I also like Mom!” Ruby Sheldon quickly said, ”Dad loves everything related to me because he loves Mom the most!”

Autumn Stetford covered her mouth and laughed.

Aiden Sheldon coughed to correct Ruby Sheldon, ”Betty, the feelings Dad has for you are different from those for your mom, don’t compare them like that.”

Ruby Sheldon stuck out her tongue, ”I know, I was just saying it. Mom understands, right?”

Autumn Stetford blushed from Aiden Sheldon’s words but felt sweet inside, scolding, ”Betty, you’re spoiled rotten, no manners at all. You’ll be punished with an hour without internet when we get back.”

”Ah?! No way! That’s cruel! I protest!” Ruby Sheldon shouted exaggeratedly and laughed, lying on the table.

Aiden Sheldon was in a great mood, finished his meal, left a hundred-dollar bill on the table as a tip, and exited with Autumn Stetford and Ruby Sheldon.

He didn’t return to his residence in the nearby neighborhood but instructed the driver to head directly to the mansion in the Second Ring.

The driver set the route, planning to find a road with less congestion.

He turned onto a nearby side street, planning to take a shortcut onto the highway from there.

Meanwhile, Ruby Sheldon mentioned Lawrence Winters, curiously asking, ”Dad, Mom and I just ran into Sister Winters earlier. Doesn’t her family have servants? Does she have to buy breakfast herself?”

Aiden Sheldon: ”...”

He glanced at Autumn Stetford, seeing she had no intention of explaining, and then said to Ruby Sheldon, ”Most families don’t have servants, and hers definitely doesn’t.”

”Ah? No servants? If she marries Uncle in the future, I wonder if she’ll be able to manage all the servants in the Stetford family?” Ruby Sheldon felt a bit sorry, ”Dad, let me go find Sister Winters to play, I can teach her how to manage servants...”

”Look at you, acting so capable.” Autumn Stetford pinched Ruby’s ear and laughed, ”When did you manage servants? I wasn’t aware! Here’s the deal, when we get back, I’ll give our family’s management duties to our little Princess — there are at least fifty servants in the mansion here in Capital City — and you can manage them, okay?”

”No, no!” Ruby Sheldon seemed scared, quickly shook her head and said, ”Mommy no! I haven’t played enough yet! I don’t want to learn management!”

”See, you’re exposed now?” Aiden Sheldon teased her, ”You know nothing yet want to teach others, although you’re my precious, I still have to shame you!”

Aiden Sheldon said, giving Ruby Sheldon’s cheeks a playful pinch.

Ruby Sheldon covered her face and cuddled up to Autumn Stetford, acting spoiled, prompting Aiden Sheldon to burst into laughter.

When he laughed, a few faint crow’s feet appeared at the corners of his eyes, making his face seem like it was suddenly bathed in sunlight, incredibly alluring.

Autumn Stetford was captivated, unable to take her eyes off him, holding Ruby Sheldon tightly as if holding a supreme treasure.

Aiden Sheldon finished laughing, leaned back against the rear seat, and said softly, ”Children of poor families grow up early. Lawrence Winters has bad luck, it’s all deserved. No one in the world has better fortune than our Betty.”

”Of course, Betty not only has good fortune, but she’s our little lucky star.” Autumn Stetford said, leaning down to kiss Ruby Sheldon’s forehead.

Ruby Sheldon giggled and dodged, while Autumn Stetford looked up and saw that Aiden Sheldon was gazing out the window.

At this moment, a girl ran past on the roadside, running with full energy, it was the very Lawrence Winters they had seen earlier.
