Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 504: Chapter 272: An Unconventional Fulfillment and Compensation (Second Update)

His master, the old Daoist, knew all along that he was an adopted son of the Winters Family and even knew that Cameron Spencer was his biological father, so there’s no need to explain that.

Gabrielle Winters thought for a moment and said, ”Kenneth is too close to the Spencer Family. I think you need to tell him. As for Lawrence, it doesn’t really matter whether you tell him or not...”

Nick Zeller felt relieved and was quite happy inside when he heard Gabrielle continue, ”Anyway, Kenneth will tell him.”

Nick Zeller: ”...”

”Then just tell them both. It’s better than hearing second-hand news from someone else.” Nick Zeller said, not in a good mood.

In the evening, when Lawrence Winters and Kenneth Osborne came home from work, Nick Zeller called them into his room while the old Daoist was cooking dinner in the kitchen.

”Kenneth, Lawrence, sit down.” Nick Zeller pointed to the corner sofa in front of him, ”I have something to tell you.”

Lawrence Winters immediately got nervous, ”Uncle, we’ve been buying furniture for Kenneth’s house lately, and the expenses are quite large. Are you asking to borrow money? One or two thousand is fine, but anything more might be too much...”

Nick Zeller: ”!!!”

”Is that the kind of person I am in your mind? Money, money, money! All you know is money!” Nick Zeller got angry and pointed at Lawrence Winters, scolding him.

Lawrence Winters didn’t get upset; she just giggled, making faces while hiding beside Kenneth Osborne.

After Nick Zeller finished scolding, Kenneth Osborne handed him a glass of water.

He took it, and looked at Kenneth Osborne with even more disdain.

This kid could actually become his elder!

How could that possibly sit well with him?

Nick Zeller took a sip of water and said with a stern face, ”So, there’s something I need to tell you two.”

”Uncle, are you getting married?! Or did you get someone pregnant and are being forced to marry?!” Lawrence Winters’ imagination ran wild like a llama on the South American highlands, rushing down from the mountain top.

”None of those! Shut up and listen to me!” Nick Zeller was so mad he swung his arms, threatening to hit Lawrence Winters.

Kenneth Osborne stopped him, chuckling, ”Nora is just a bit mischievous, don’t be mad, Uncle.”

Hearing Kenneth Osborne call him ”Uncle,” Nick Zeller suddenly wasn’t angry anymore. He glared at him, feeling inwardly delighted, cleared his throat, and said, ”So, let me tell you, you all know Cameron Spencer, the boss of Spencer Group, right?”

”Yes.” Lawrence Winters and Kenneth Osborne nodded together.

”...He’s my father, my biological father.” Nick Zeller said casually and nonchalantly blew on his water cup.

Actually, the water was room temperature, so there was no need to blow on it. He was just trying to show off.

Lawrence Winters and Kenneth Osborne were really stunned.

Lawrence looked at Nick Zeller with her exceptionally dark eyes, but her mind was completely blank, not knowing what she had just heard or what she was thinking.

Kenneth Osborne was somewhat mentally prepared, but even he hadn’t anticipated such a shocking result.

He blinked and suddenly remembered that if Nick Zeller was Cameron Spencer’s biological son, wouldn’t he be Winter’s half-brother?

And he himself is Winter’s uncle...

In that case, it seemed he had called ”Uncle” a bit wrong earlier.

Kenneth Osborne pursed his lips, his expression a bit conflicted.

Nick Zeller looked at the two of them and could completely see what they were thinking.

He snorted toward Kenneth Osborne but looked at Lawrence Winters and said, ”Lawrence, don’t you have anything to say?”

Lawrence Winters snapped back to reality, her expression eager, ”Uncle! You’ve hit the jackpot! Cameron Spencer is so wealthy, how much trust fund is he planning to leave you?!”

Nick Zeller slapped his thigh, ”Damn! Forgot to mention today! Next time he talks about me going back to the Spencer Family, I’ll ask him how much inheritance he’s planning to give me!”

He said it excitedly, but it was actually just to tease Lawrence Winters.

Cameron Spencer’s money, unless earned by Nick himself, he wouldn’t take a dime of his charity.

”Hey! Of course, the more, the better!” Lawrence Winters rejoiced but suddenly felt something was off, ”Huh? You’re Cameron Spencer’s biological son?! Then what about my mom? What about my two aunts? Are they also Cameron Spencer’s daughters?!”

If they were, then her grandfather must have worn many green hats?

Lawrence Winters looked at Nick Zeller with a mix of embarrassment and clarity.

Nick Zeller scratched her nose, ”What are you thinking? Your mom and your two aunts are not related to me. I was adopted by your grandparents.”

Lawrence Winters patted her chest and breathed a huge sigh of relief, then snuggled up to Nick Zeller, saying, ”Uncle, even though you’re not my mom’s biological brother, I can still call you Uncle, right?”

”Yes, of course.” Nick Zeller waved with pride, ”I raised you myself. If you don’t acknowledge me, see how I deal with you!”

”That’s right.” Lawrence Winters smiled and rubbed her hands, ”Then what you said before about me inheriting all your assets still counts, right?”

Nick Zeller: ”...”

This girl really seems like his biological daughter, tsk tsk, such a pity...

But he dare only grumble quietly in his heart, and on the surface, he dodged the question, saying officially, ”That... still needs to be studied further. If someone gets married soon, who knows if they’ll support outsiders instead? My assets are for me, your mom, and your grandmaster’s retirement!”

”Uncle, you can’t do this! A man without faith is not to be trusted! You didn’t say my engagement would cancel my inheritance rights!” Lawrence Winters pouted, ”I’ll ask Grandmaster to settle this!”

The two of them were noisy and rowdy, practically putting on a show, the atmosphere was extremely lively.

Kenneth Osborne watched the antics between uncle and niece, with no barriers, smiling slightly with a bit of envy.

This kind of familial bond was something he couldn’t feel in his home.

Not that his parents didn’t treat him well, no, they treated him very well, amazingly well, and were very biased toward him.

He’s known since he was little.

But the person he was closest to was his sister, Brooke Osborne.

And Brooke Osborne was always a little adult since she was small, never was as vivacious as Nick Zeller.

Kenneth Osborne thought, Lawrence Winters was so attractive to him probably because he saw in her so many things he had longed for but never gotten.

If he couldn’t have them himself, being with someone who did was a unique completeness and compensation.
