Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 490: Chapter 266: Girls Can’t Be Kept at Home

But Nick Zeller quickly returned to normal, acting like nothing was wrong, and drove the car with Lawrence Winters to the underground garage of the building they lived in.

The two got out of the car, and Lawrence Winters couldn’t help but say, ”Uncle, did you see the people getting out of that long luxury car at the entrance just now?”

Nick Zeller looked puzzled, ”Just now? Who? I didn’t notice.”

”Oh.” Lawrence Winters and Nick Zeller weren’t in the same car, so it’s unclear if Nick saw them.

So she went on herself, ”I saw Sister Osborne, and Osborne’s dad and mom, oh, and another person, which is Sister Osborne’s current husband, Cameron Spencer, the boss of Spencer Group.”

Nick Zeller then showed a surprised expression, ”Ah? Aren’t those Kenneth’s family? What are they doing here? Are they here to see Kenneth?”

Lawrence Winters: ”...”

Damn, she hadn’t thought about that.

And she might soon be cohabiting with Kenneth Osborne, and all these Osbornes are here, what should she do?

Feeling a bit panicked, she almost wanted to go online and post a question: ”Just about to cohabit, fiancé’s family suddenly arrives in a group, what to do? Waiting online, pretty urgent!”

Nick Zeller again showed confusion and said, ”But if they’re really here to see Kenneth, Kenneth wouldn’t be unaware, right?”

”If Kenneth knows, shouldn’t he tell us?”

Nick Zeller’s self-talk reminded Lawrence Winters.

She immediately called Kenneth Osborne and said, ”Brother Kenneth, if you knew, you wouldn’t keep it from us. I think you might not know.”

The call connected quickly, Kenneth Osborne was still working late at the office and hadn’t returned home.

He asked with a smile, ”Nora, what’s up? Did you get your car?”

”Got it.” Lawrence Winters replied with a smile, looked back over her shoulder, and continued, ”When I was entering the neighborhood just now, I saw your sister, your dad, your mom, and that Cameron Spencer coming in. They entered our neighborhood too. Are they here to see you? I remember you mentioned they also bought a house in our neighborhood?”

This was still before the New Year.

Kenneth Osborne frowned and said, ”They didn’t tell me.”

If they had informed him, he would have found a way to stop them.

Now it’s like this, it’s an old saying that the higher one is, the more obstacles there are; the other side is quite good at handling his parents.

Lawrence Winters sighed and walked into the elevator with Nick Zeller, saying, ”Looks like they want to give you a surprise. Make sure to act surprised! Otherwise, how disappointed would they be, hahaha...”

Nick Zeller: ”...”

He side-eyed Lawrence Winters, thinking his niece might be a fool? How could she laugh about such a thing?

Kenneth Osborne was also speechless for a moment, but then felt happy.

Probably one of the reasons he liked this girl so much...

She always has a big heart, no matter what she faces, she can cheer herself up, not obsess over little things, and entertain herself.

Being with someone like this gives less chance of getting depressed.

”Alright, as you command, Mrs. Osborne.” Kenneth Osborne teased with a smile.

Lawrence Winters’ laughter stopped at the mention of ”Mrs. Osborne.”

She touched her earlobe and smoothed her hair, feeling flustered inside while trying to maintain a nonchalant smile.

She was clearly happy, but didn’t want Nick Zeller to notice, so she pretended to say calmly, ”Good that you know, I’m hanging up.”

She put away her phone, her fair cheeks gradually blushing, like the brightest crabapple red in spring.

Nick Zeller snorted, ”...Truly, a grown girl can’t be kept. Fine, that family doesn’t come with good intentions, you better take it easy.”

”What do I have to be afraid of.” Lawrence Winters calmed her pounding heart and made a funny face, ”Besides, I haven’t married Brother Kenneth yet, what can they do to me?”

”That’s true. You’re still a guest before marriage, they can only treat you well. But the fiercer you act now, the more fiercely they’ll deal with you after marriage.” Nick Zeller lazily said, walking out of the elevator.

The two returned home, the Daoist was busy cooking in the kitchen, with the translucent glass doors closed, only his bustling figure was visible.

Gabrielle Winters was in her room, self-studying accounting, planning to take the accounting certificate exam to more formally keep books for Nick Zeller and Lawrence Winters’ Heavenly Master Office.

Lawrence Winters knocked on Gabrielle Winters’ door with her car keys and said with a smile, ”Mom, I’m back.”

Gabrielle Winters looked up and saw the car keys in her hand, and knew the car was bought.

She didn’t know much about cars but knew Lawrence Winters drove particularly well, so she just reminded her to be careful.
