Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 474: Chapter 257: He’s Been Lending a Hand All Along (First Update)

Kenneth Osborne smiled and nodded to the person opposite him. From his impeccable manners, there was no hint of emotional bias, yet without any professional hypocrisy, making people feel very comfortable.

Even those biased against him, like Summer Spencer, had to silently admit that this man was extraordinary. So young, yet able to control his emotions and expressions.

Kenneth Osborne first wished his parents a happy New Year: ”Happy New Year, Mom and Dad. Are you adapting well at my sister’s place? If there’s anything inconvenient, feel free to tell me, or you can tell my sister. We won’t leave you out.”

His first words made his parents extremely comfortable.

Kenneth’s mother immediately called out dramatically, pushing others away from Brooke Osborne’s phone, and smilingly said to Kenneth Osborne, ”Kenneth! Are you having a good New Year? We are doing well here. Your brother-in-law is impeccable! I’ve told your sister and brother-in-law, from now on, we’re one family. It’s not easy for you to do small business outside, let your brother-in-law take care of you. When you become prosperous, you can take care of our little Winter, right?”

Behind Kenneth’s mother, Summer Spencer just rolled her eyes, thinking Kenneth Osborne’s small business could take care of Winter?

Winter is now her dad’s only son. If nothing goes wrong, Spencer Group will be his in the future. It needs Kenneth Osborne to take care of him?

It’s more likely Kenneth Osborne needs Winter, his nephew, to take care of him...

Brooke Osborne felt incredibly embarrassed.

She knew Kenneth Osborne was a very proud person, absolutely disdainful of nepotism.

This is also the reason why, even after marrying Cameron Spencer and having a son, she has never dared to tell Kenneth Osborne the truth.

If it weren’t for Cameron Spencer breaking the ice, Brooke Osborne herself wouldn’t know when she’d find the courage to tell Kenneth Osborne the truth.

Now Kenneth’s mother insists on asking Cameron Spencer to support Kenneth Osborne, surely Kenneth Osborne must be furious.

But this time, she seemed to have guessed wrong.

Because Kenneth Osborne smiled meaningfully and said, ”Mom, brother-in-law is good to me, has already been supporting me for a while. My small business is actually unrelated to brother-in-law’s business.”

”As long as brother-in-law and sister can raise little Winter safely and educate him well, I, as an uncle, will be satisfied. The Spencer Family has a large business; how do I have the ability to take care of little Winter? Right, Mr. Spencer?”

Kenneth Osborne said facing Cameron Spencer who stood beside Brooke Osborne.

Cameron Spencer, with a pipe in his mouth, laughed when he heard this, saying, ”Kenneth is too modest. Who knows what will happen in the future? It will take at least more than ten years for Winter to grow up. Maybe in the future, our Winter will really need his uncle’s care.”

”If that day comes, I will definitely take care of him.” Kenneth Osborne took the cue, giving Cameron Spencer a little jab.

Cameron Spencer’s mouth twitched. He was just saying a polite comment, but Kenneth Osborne actually took it seriously.

It’s really a case of a newborn calf not fearing the tiger, entering the business world without knowing its treacherous nature.

But that’s okay, naturally, someone will teach him how to behave later, so he won’t ruin family relationships.

Cameron Spencer blew a smoke ring.

Kenneth Osborne watched and said, ”Mr. Spencer, little Winter is still young. If you want to smoke, please step outside. It’s not good for his lungs.”

Cameron Spencer was startled.

He wasn’t smoking ordinary cigarettes; they were imported cigars from abroad.

His addiction was incredibly strong.

A while back, when Brooke Osborne was pregnant, to avoid affecting her and the child, he spent most of his time living at Hazel Winchester’s place.

Now, the child is born and already a few months old, he had forgotten about it.

Annoyingly, no one reminded him, and it took Kenneth Osborne, an uncle thousands of miles away, to remind him.

Cameron Spencer took the pipe from his mouth, glancing quickly around the room.

Brooke Osborne, always holding the child with her back to him, indeed seemed to want to block out the smoke. But she was timid and probably didn’t dare to say anything face to face.

Kenneth’s dad and mom didn’t say anything; Kenneth’s dad himself was a big smoker. He needs to be reminded not to smoke indoors in the future, or move out.

His only son, possibly his only son in his lifetime, can’t be harmed like this.

Thinking this, Cameron Spencer suddenly remembered Hazel Winchester.

Lately, Hazel Winchester had sent him lots of cigar tobacco, all from top brands, saying it was directly mailed from abroad.

He enjoyed smoking them, carrying a small tin of cigar tobacco wherever he went...

Fear he had already been smoking in front of this child for months.
