Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 183: Chapter 110: Having Me Is the Pinnacle of Your Life

The call-out by the Foster Consortium on Weibo was seen by him too, and like Lawrence Winters, he didn’t think much of it either, assuming it was a deliberate ploy to use Lawrence as a pawn to annoy the Spencer Group.

But just now, seeing the call come in from the other party, he suddenly felt the other party might genuinely be interested, which is why he reminded Lawrence to take the call.

Now, it’s settled. He might have just personally delivered Lawrence to her favorite ”Blue Guy”.

Kenneth Osborne felt a wave of panic inside, but when facing Lawrence, he remained calm as if nothing had happened, saying, ”The place is in the Capital City’s CBD. I’ll go with you tomorrow.”

”Okay!” Lawrence, in a great mood, nodded and walked back to his dormitory with Kenneth Osborne.

Kenneth escorted her to the dorm entrance, watching her radiant face, and finally said nothing but reminded her: ”Get some rest early, so you’ll have enough energy tomorrow to see what the Foster Consortium is like.”

Lawrence smiled and agreed, waving at him, ”You should also go back early to rest. It won’t delay anything for you, right?”

”It’s fine, I’ll manage my time well.” Kenneth was very organized with his tasks, and Lawrence trusted him more than she trusted herself.

Lawrence happily returned to the dorm, opened the door, and saw both Crazy Girl and Billionaire Sister there.

”Huh? What special day is it today? How come you’re both back?” Lawrence smiled and greeted them as she walked to her bed, getting ready to take a shower.

Crazy Girl and Billionaire Sister exchanged a glance and then surrounded her, blocking her path.

Crazy Girl was the first to speak, ”Lawrence, do you know Kenneth turned down a million-dollar annual salary from the Spencer Group for you?”

Billionaire Sister huffed, saying, ”...I hate it when men do that. It’s outright moral blackmail! — Lawrence, don’t you dare have any ’marry him’ thoughts just because of this!”

Lawrence felt a headache coming on, looking at the pair, ”What are you both imagining? Nothing like that is happening, Kenneth would never morally blackmail me; he’s just... just... used to it.”

”Used to it? How can someone get used to something like this?” Crazy Girl couldn’t help but knock on her head, ”You’re not a blockhead! Why aren’t you seeing the reality? Or do you really not like Kenneth Osborne?”

”He’s gone to such lengths for you, pretending not to know isn’t very kind!”

Lawrence touched her face, frowned, and said, ”What am I supposed to know? I told Kenneth that I see him as my best friend and confidant...”

”Oh, come on!” Billionaire Sister rolled her eyes, ”People say I’m a schemer, but I feel like I haven’t learned even one percent of your schemer skills, Lawrence. Calling me a schemer is a disgrace to them!”

Crazy Girl’s eyes were almost rolling back but held steady.

However, her feelings with Lawrence were closer than those between Lawrence and Billionaire Sister, so she held back from flipping.

She grabbed Lawrence’s hand, saying seriously, ”Lawrence, if you really don’t have those feelings for Kenneth Osborne, you should keep your distance. Even if unintentionally, acting like this is treating him as a backup, which is quite damaging to character.”

Other things didn’t concern Lawrence much, like Billionaire Sister calling her ”more schemer-like”.

But when Crazy Girl said she was damaging her character, she paid more attention.

Being a Heavenly Master requires very good character.

With a bad character, a Heavenly Master could get struck by lightning.

Her uncle often taught her this way.

Lawrence felt a bit uneasy, looking at Crazy Girl’s serious face and then at Billionaire Sister’s disdainful look, hesitantly saying, ”...Does it really damage character? But Kenneth and I grew up together, we’re really close and familiar.”

”Even though I don’t have those feelings for him, when we’re together, we really don’t do anything inappropriate, just two friends really able to chatter.”

”Lawrence, if Kenneth Osborne were to give me a chance, he’d find he could chatter even more with me.” Billionaire Sister snapped her fingers, tossing her wavy hair back impatiently, ”So, that’s not an excuse, you handle it yourself. I don’t like advising others, you’ve already made me an exception. Whether you’re intentionally playing the schemer, using Kenneth Osborne as a backup, or unintentionally doing it due to obliviousness, it has nothing to do with me.”

She slung her small backpack over her shoulder, ”I’m heading out, won’t be back tonight.”

Billionaire Sister slammed the dorm door loudly on her way out.

Lawrence was silent for a moment, then said, ”Is Billionaire Sister angry, is she mad at me? But I haven’t offended her, have I?”

Crazy Girl smiled and sat back at her desk, opening her computer and chat software, subtly saying, ”Lawrence, not everyone is as lucky as you...”
