Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 160: Chapter 98: I Was Blind (Third Update)

”So what? But I got the interview!” Lawrence Winters still didn’t care much, ”I’ve been preparing for the interview for several days.”

Kenneth Osborne thought for a moment and nodded, ”Alright, since you already got the interview, let’s talk about the resume later. How have you prepared for the interview?”

”I’ve borrowed many interview books from the library to read, and combined with my major, I prepared some small stories to tell the interviewers during the interview.”

Kenneth Osborne was still not at ease, saying, ”Then consider me the interviewer, and let me ask you a few questions to see how well you’re prepared?”

”Sure!” Lawrence Winters quickly sat up straight, looking serious, ”Go ahead, ask me questions.”

Kenneth Osborne also straightened up, and said a bit sternly, ”Please introduce yourself.”

This was a routine interview question, and Lawrence Winters immediately said, ”My name is Lawrence Winters, and I’m a fourth-year student in public relations at Yanda.”

Then she smiled sweetly at Kenneth Osborne, ”Next question.”

Kenneth Osborne closed his eyes for a moment, ”Is this your prepared interview answer?”

”Yes, is there something wrong with it?” Lawrence Winters frowned slightly, ”This is who I am in front of them, right? Should I say I have another identity, that I’ve been following my uncle around since I was little, learning Feng Shui?”

”No, you don’t need to talk about your Heavenly Master experience,” Kenneth Osborne paused, thinking about how to phrase it, ”but you can’t just introduce yourself in one sentence.”

”You need to take this opportunity to highlight your strengths in your self-introduction.”

Lawrence Winters had seen the world and heard his hint, and immediately understood.

She quickly said, ”Let’s try it again.”

After saying this, she coughed lightly and said with a smile, ”Hello everyone, I am Lawrence Winters, a fourth-year student in public relations at Yanda. I come from River City, Central South Province, and I have a cheerful personality, stable work style, and am very skilled in new media operations and content expression.”

Kenneth Osborne slightly curled his lips, ”Not bad; being able to highlight your strengths in one sentence should leave a good impression on the interviewer.”

Then he continued to ask, ”You’re good at new media operations and content expression, can you elaborate?”

Lawrence Winters was prepared for this and immediately said, ”The main features of new media operations are speed and accuracy.”

”Compared to traditional media, its speed is much faster.”

”For example, when a social hotspot breaks out, traditional media like TV stations or radio stations take at least an hour to enter media channels and reach the public.”

”Print media is even slower, taking at least a day to respond and address social hotspots.”

”But new media can respond in a second, requiring the new media personnel to have a very accurate grasp of content and timing.”

”Because it’s fast, the risk of failure is relatively high.”

”But if you hesitate to react quickly because you’re afraid of failure, it discredits new media as a communication mode and medium.”

”I believe...”

Kenneth Osborne interrupted her at this point, mercilessly saying, ”I don’t need a lecture on the theoretical knowledge of new media operations. I want to know how you would use new media to quickly turn around a crisis event for the company’s image and stabilize it during a crisis.”

Lawrence Winters patiently listened to him, showing no anger or panic for his interruption, still focused on listening.

After he finished, she calmly said, ”What you said makes a lot of sense; the issue I was going to discuss next was using your company as an example for crisis management.”

”Generally, companies have reservations and don’t want their own company to be used as an example, so I’m surprised by your company’s openness. If I have the opportunity to work at such a company, I think it would greatly improve me.”

Kenneth Osborne was amused again by her, ”Nora, I didn’t expect you to be so adept at subtly flattering.”

”Oh, come on, look at what I do.” Lawrence Winters waved her hand boldly, ”If a Heavenly Master can’t read the room, they should switch careers early!”

”Then why are you still interviewing for this entry-level job?” Kenneth Osborne said as he stood up, ”Alright, just keep this attitude for the interview, and you’ll definitely be fine.”

”Really?” Lawrence Winters was thrilled, almost jumping up from her seat, ”Kenneth, could you give me some more guidance?”

”It’s already dark outside; I’ll send you home first and then guide you through a video call, how about that?” Kenneth Osborne pulled her hand and they left the private room together.

This Cantonese restaurant was close to Yanda and reasonably priced, so many Yanda students came here for dinner.

By this time it was almost six o’clock, and the dining hall was packed with people coming for dinner.

Seeing them come out, some students snapped sneaky photos of them holding hands and posted them on the school forum.

They picked up their bicycles but chose to walk back instead of riding.

Lawrence Winters was still curious about the job position Kenneth Osborne got: ”What position is it exactly? How can it offer such a high annual salary? Do you know how much the Spencer Group offered when they recruited from our department?”

”How much?”

”Only five thousand a month, with a thirteen-month salary per year. The various benefits and treatment are similar to other companies, all the essentials are there.”

Compared to Kenneth Osborne, his monthly salary would be her annual salary and didn’t even include his year-end bonus.

Kenneth Osborne smiled slightly.

His job was already at a fairly high level, starting as the technical director of the new company.

If it weren’t for his lack of work experience, a million wouldn’t even be enough to get him on board.

”You’re just going to see how they operate; it’s not like you’ll be working there for life,” Kenneth Osborne comforted her, ”you can quit in a couple of years.”

Lawrence Winters nodded, ”I think so, too. Eventually, I still want to be a Heavenly Master with my uncle, but I’m young, my mom wants me to first temper myself in someone else’s company.”

Kenneth Osborne patted her head, ”Your personality is pretty good; no need for more tempering.”

”Right? I also think my personality is pretty good.” Lawrence Winters said proudly, puffing out her chest, ”Kenneth, you have great taste!”

”No, I’m blind.” Kenneth Osborne said blandly.
