Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Huo Jinnan’s brow furrowed when he detected an undertone in those words, ”Speak plainly.”

Qin Shaojin brought the car to a halt at the red light, and spoke unhurriedly, ”Sister-in-law’s mother was also from Law University. She got expelled in her junior year, and the circumstances were rather peculiar. I’ll look into the reason and help Aunt Wen get her diploma and bachelor’s degree certificate back.”

Huo Jinnan lit a cigarette, ”Hmm, that’s fine.”

Just like that? No counter-move?

Qin Shaojin paused for three seconds, ”Brother Huo.”

”...”

There was no sound from the other side, and the call hadn’t been hung up. Was this setting him up to listen to a lovemaking scene?

Qin Shaojin placed the phone aside, turned on the speaker, and heard rustling sounds. His fingers tightened around the steering wheel—had Brother Huo forgotten to hang up, or was he mocking him for not having a woman?

This was no way to bully someone!

After a while, without hearing sounds of lovemaking from the other side, quiet reigning, he wanted to hang up but couldn’t bring himself to do it, rare as it was to catch Brother Huo by the tail. What if there was a lovemaking scene in the middle of the night? Maybe he could even blackmail Brother Huo with it.

Upon arriving, he parked the car, got out with his phone in hand, entered the apartment, threw the phone on the coffee table, picked up a recording pen, placed it beside him, flipped the switch on, and went upstairs.

Huo Jinnan helped Che Huan undress and sat at the head of the bed, watching her.

Che Huan’s eyes were closed, sleeping soundly.

After watching for a while, he raised his hand and his long fingers brushed gently across Che Huan’s cheek, ”Waited a long time, huh? Didn’t know to go to bed earlier.”

”...”

In response to him was the distinct breathing of a woman, light and shallow, grazing the back of his hand like a feather tickle, stirring an indescribable feeling, untouched by worldliness.

After watching for a bit, he gently smoothed Che Huan’s hair and removed his shirt to take a shower in the bathroom.

...

The next day, when Huo Jinnan awoke, Che Huan was perched earnestly on the pillow, watching him.

He reached out to ruffle Che Huan’s hair, ”When did you wake up?”

”Just now.” Che Huan burrowed into Huo Jinnan’s embrace, ”When did you come back?”

”Didn’t check the time,” Huo Jinnan’s fingers tightened in her hair, his voice growing increasingly husky, ”Provoking me first thing in the morning.”

As soon as his words fell.

Qin Shaojin got out of bed, and his first reaction was to check downstairs. He glanced at the recording pen which was still recording.

He looked at his wristwatch, it was already past nine o’clock. He pressed stop, sat down on the sofa, crossed his legs elegantly, leaned his body against the back of the sofa at an angle, and with a smirk, he pressed play.

Half an hour later, there was nothing!

He checked the total duration, from two o’clock in the morning until nine, a full seven hours.

He closed his eyes, hit fast forward, and listened from start to finish once more, taking over two hours, and ended up with nothing!

Picking up his phone, he saw that it had turned off!

No wonder!

He thought, newlyweds surely couldn’t go a whole night without any action.

After finding the charger and powering up, he dialed Huo Jinnan again, ”Brother Huo, I recorded the sounds of you and sister-in-law. Name your price to buy it back, or I’ll upload it to the internet.”

”You upload it,” Huo Jinnan said and hung up directly, tossing the phone aside, he turned to look at the blushing Che Huan, ”Don’t meet with Qin Mochuan in the future.”

”...”

Che Huan frowned, looked at Huo Jinnan—just moments ago they were intimately close, and after a phone call, why suddenly bring up Qin Mochuan?

”Was that his call?”
