Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Huo Jinnan’s brows furrowed tightly, ”When did she go over?”

Shen Mubai found a nurse and asked her to check on Wen Ru’s ward, ”Half an hour ago.”

Huo Jinnan had no time to attend to the leader, ”Has she already been let in?”

Shen Mubai spoke methodically, ”The door guard stopped her, but she made a scene there, directly called Miss Wen’s ward, and Miss Wen agreed to see her. The hospital couldn’t say much after that, so they let her in.”

”Hmm, I’ll be there soon.”

Huo Jinnan hung up the phone, gripped the steering wheel, made a turn, and dialed Uncle Lu, ”Take the madam to Muhe Hospital.”

After hanging up, he drove directly towards Muhe Hospital,

————Muhe Hospital————

Huo Jinyun entered the ward and stood there, looking down at Wen Ru with an air of superiority.

Wen Ru lay in the hospital bed and smiled at the nurse, ”Xiaochen, help me crank up the bed.”

Chen Fang responded, cranked the bed up, stepped forward, and helped Wen Ru lie back down.

Wen Ru cast a light glance at Huo Jinyun and turned to Chen Fang’s direction, ”Xiaochen, you go out first and close the door behind you.”

Chen Fang looked at Huo Jinyun, recognizing her as someone not to be messed with, ”Alright, if there’s anything, just ring the nurse’s bell for me.”

Wen Ru replied and lay there without looking at Huo Jinyun again.

Sensing that the atmosphere was off, Chen Fang gave Huo Jinyun another look as she passed her.

Huo Jinyun stood there and spoke unpleasantly, ”Aren’t you leaving yet!”

”...”

Chen Fang quickly left, feeling that something was going to happen and not very reassured, so she went straight to the director’s office after leaving the ward.

Seeing the nurse leave, Huo Jinyun looked at Wen Ru and huffed heavily, walked to the door, locked it from the inside, strode to the bedside, her face losing all its smile, and stared relentlessly at Wen Ru. With one sweep, she knocked everything from the bedside table to the floor, ”Wen Ru, didn’t you say you would never return to Hong Kong? What are you doing back here?”

Wen Ru smiled softly, murmuring, ”Hong Kong isn’t yours. I come if I want to, do I need Miss Huo’s permission?”

”Let me tell you, Wen Ru, don’t think you can act recklessly just because your daughter clung to Huo Jinnan!”

Huo Jinyun stared at Wen Ru and raised her hand to slap her.

Wen Ru didn’t resist and looked at Huo Jinyun, smiling like a blooming lotus, ”Go on, try to slap me. You’ve even locked the door; if something happens to me, you’re the prime suspect, Huo Jinyun. Do you believe that? Even your grandfather wouldn’t be able to save you, just as he’s currently powerless watching Gu Jizhou inside!”

Huo Jinyun glared at Wen Ru, teeth clenched, and just as her hand was about to come down, she stopped midair.

Wen Ru smiled, ”Why stop hitting?”

Huo Jinyun took a deep breath, stared dead at Wen Ru, and sneered, ”Don’t tell me you came back because you’re still hung up on Qin Moting, wanting to rekindle old flames.”

”At least he and I have old flames to rekindle, what about you?”

Wen Ru looked at Huo Jinyun with a light voice and a smile.

Huo Jinyun stood there stiffly, unable to believe that the Wen Ru, who had been silent in front of her five years ago, was now looking at her with such mockery! She wanted to argue something, but remembering how resolutely Qin Moting had divorced her and kicked her out of the Qin Family years ago, her complexion grew worse and worse.

Still, she managed to force a laugh, ”Old flames? If he loved you so much, why didn’t he marry you instead of me? Why did he let you bear the stigma of being the other woman? Watching as your family fell apart?”
