Daddy Always Gets Jealous

After hanging up the phone, he went to the security department and could hear Huo Jinyun’s voice from afar, still imperious and domineering.

”Open the door! Do you hear me?”

”What are your names?”

”Move aside! Try touching me again and see what happens.”

...

Huo Jinnan approached, pushed open the door, and his gaze fell on Huo Jinyun.

Huo Jinyun was throwing a tantrum but quieted down upon seeing him.

Huo Jinnan turned to the security guards, ”You can leave now.”

The two security guards glanced at Huo Jinnan, remembering that Mr. Huo always arrived with the dean, and it seemed Dean Shen had specially authorized his actions in the hospital, particularly instructing that matters involving Ms. Huo should be handled by Mr. Huo himself.

Soon, they left the security department, leaving only Huo Jinyun and Huo Jinnan in the room.

Without a word, Huo Jinnan pulled over a chair and sat down to smoke.

Huo Jinyun looked at him, uncertain how much of her earlier words he had taken in or believed, ”Anan, they really approached you just for revenge, to take down the Huo Family. That incident with the child was also a plot by Che Huan against you.”

Huo Jinnan stood up as if he hadn’t heard a thing and walked to the window, looking outside.

Huo Jinyun took a deep breath and watched his silhouette.

Standing there in the slanting rays of light, Huo Jinnan’s side profile appeared even more tall and upright, ”So by that logic, I should thank you for helping Che Huan plot against me and bringing about a good match.”

He turned around, looking at Huo Jinyun.

”...”

Huo Jinyun stood there speechless, staring at Huo Jinnan, as if she couldn’t clearly see his overly perfect and profound features, let alone the deep blackness of his eyes.

After a while, she finally managed to speak stiffly, ”Anan, one day you will regret this!”

Huo Jinnan lifted his arm, flipped back his suit sleeve to check the time, each movement elegant and restrained like a close-up in a movie, ”The one who will regret first should be you.”

As his words fell, knocking sounds echoed.

Huo Jinnan walked over and opened the door; several police officers entered one after another, indifferent as they looked at Huo Jinyun, as if they didn’t recognize the notorious Ms. Huo, ”Are you the one causing a disturbance at Muhe Hospital?”

”...”

Huo Jinyun stood there, looking at Huo Jinnan, shocked that he had actually called the police!

The leading officer looked at Huo Jinnan, ”Mr. Huo, we will take her away now.”

Huo Jinnan hummed faintly in response, glancing at Huo Jinyun.

Huo Jinyun couldn’t hold back any longer, ”Huo Jinnan, I will expose your affair with your nephew’s wife!”

”Oh? Give it a try.”

Huo Jinnan’s voice was casual as he watched the police escort Huo Jinyun out of the security department, looking out the window.

As soon as Huo Jinyun stepped outside, she was immediately surrounded by reporters who had been waiting, ”Miss Huo, we heard you caused chaos at Muhe Hospital and smashed a lot of imported equipment, leading to delayed treatment for several patients whose conditions have become critical. Is this true?”

”Miss Huo, what is your dispute with Muhe Hospital?”

”We’ve heard that Gucheng Group is running short on funds and facing a crisis, causing its stock price to plummet in recent days, is that true?”

...

Amidst the noisy questions of the reporters, the flashbulbs kept flickering.

Huo Jinyun and the police were trapped in the middle, unable to move.

She covered her face with her hands, shouting in anger and panic, ”Get out of the way, all of you, stop filming! Stop filming!”

Huo Jinnan reflected on the time, many years ago, when he returned to Hong Kong from the army and encountered a similar scene.
