BTTH : Emperor Yang

Chapter 13: Chapter 13: Kill!

On the official road—

A group of well-equipped and imposing mercenaries stood in formation, blocking a spacious and luxurious carriage.

There were about thirty of them, each exuding a fierce and battle-hardened aura.

Clearly, these were the elite members of the Wolf Head Mercenary Group, with the weakest among them being at least a Three-Star Dou Zhe.

Leading them was a young man, around eighteen or nineteen years old.

At this moment, all eyes were fixed on the carriage.

Creak—

As the carriage door swung open, a black-clad youth stepped out. His long hair was secured with a jade headband, and his handsome face carried a faint, unspoken aura of power.

Trailing behind him was a beautiful young girl dressed in white.

”Young Master, it’s them.”

A mercenary, one of the men Wei Yang had beaten up the previous day, leaned toward the young leader and whispered, his gaze filled with both hatred and fear as he looked at Wei Yang.

The Young Master narrowed his eyes at Wei Yang.

As he observed the invisible pressure emanating from Wei Yang, his brows furrowed.

He was experienced enough to know that people with this kind of presence were not to be trifled with.

His father, Mu She, the leader of the Wolf Head Mercenary Group, carried a similar commanding aura.

This kind of presence was not something one could fake—it was the natural air of someone with real power or status.

”This guy... doesn’t seem easy to deal with.” Mu Li thought to himself.

He was already considering letting this go. After all, there was no life-or-death grudge between them—just three of his subordinates getting beaten up. If he could demand some form of compensation, he could save face and keep his men satisfied.

However—

The moment he noticed the girl standing behind Wei Yang, Mu Li’s eyes lit up, and a blatant hunger flashed across them.

Although Ye Xian’er still looked slightly youthful, that was exactly his preference.

His scorching gaze lingered on her.

Her ethereal and fairy-like temperament, delicate features, flawless skin, her slender and petite waist that could be held with one hand, and the gentle curve of her developing chest—

All of it ignited a raging fire within him.

Unconsciously, Mu Li swallowed hard to moisten his dry throat, his tongue flicking over his lips.

He wanted her.

As the Young Master of the Wolf Head Mercenary Group, he was used to having whatever he desired in Qingshan Town.

Never before had he seen such a pristine beauty.

In the original timeline, Mu Li had also lusted after Xiao Yixian, desperately pursuing her.

However, at that time, Xiao Yixian was practically worshiped by mercenaries. She had saved countless lives, earning their respect and unwavering loyalty.

Plus, Thousand Medicine House was a powerful force in Qingshan Town.

Even Mu Li wouldn’t dare act recklessly—he couldn’t afford to provoke the masses.

But in this timeline, Ye Xian’er did not have that same protection.

So—

His earlier intention to settle things peacefully vanished instantly.

Wei Yang stood at the edge of the carriage platform, his hand resting casually on the railing, gazing down at the mercenaries below.

Finally, his eyes landed on Mu Li.

This was one of the few named characters he had encountered so far from the original novel.

A small-time villain, who didn’t last long—his fate was sealed the moment he crossed paths with the Son of Destiny.

The way Mu Li was looking at Ye Xian’er disgusted Wei Yang.

Wei Yang wasn’t someone who actively sought trouble.

But that didn’t mean he was afraid of it.

From the moment he decided to take Ye Xian’er under his wing, she had already become someone important to him.

And he would never allow anyone to defile her.

Not even a look.

If someone dared touch her, he’d kill them.

If someone dared stare at her with filthy eyes, he’d still kill them.

At this moment, Wei Yang was pissed.

An unmistakable killing intent surfaced in his heart.

”What do you want?” Wei Yang asked indifferently.

Mu Li waved a hand. Three mercenaries stepped forward—the same ones Wei Yang had beaten up yesterday.

Mu Li pointed at them and said coldly, ”Do you recognize them?”

Wei Yang shook his head. ”Never seen them before.”

”You—!” The three mercenaries glared daggers at him.

Seriously?!

You beat us to a pulp just last night, and now you say you don’t even recognize us?!

Mu Li was also momentarily stunned before letting out a cold laugh. ”What a convenient excuse. You just beat them down yesterday, and now you refuse to acknowledge it? Either you’re forgetful, or you’re just shamelessly denying it.”

”Ohhh, them?”

Wei Yang suddenly pretended to have an epiphany, nodding.

”Yeah, I remember now. Yesterday, I beat up three stray dogs.”

BOOM!

A wave of outrage erupted from the opposing mercenaries.

SHING! SHING! SHING!

Blades were drawn in unison.

Dozens of angry mercenaries glared furiously at Wei Yang.

Especially the three who had been beaten up—they looked like they wanted to tear him apart on the spot.

This was an insult beyond forgiveness!

It was one thing to defeat them—but to call them dogs?!

They were warriors who lived by the sword, licking blood off their blades every day. They could die, but they could not be humiliated!

Mu Li himself was left speechless.

In his entire life, he had never seen someone this arrogant!

After coming back to his senses, Mu Li gritted his teeth and, in his fury, laughed instead. ”Good, good, good! Looks like you never put my Wolf Head Mercenary Group in your eyes! Do you really think we’re easy to bully? If you don’t give me an explanation today, don’t even think about leaving Qingshan Town!”

Mu Li had his concerns, so he didn’t dare to make absolute threats or start shouting about killing.

He was arrogant, but he wasn’t stupid.

The more fearless the other party appeared, the more cautious and apprehensive he became.

”Why should I care about some Wolf Head or Dog Head nobodies?”

”As for an explanation?” Wei Yang shifted slightly, revealing Ye Xian’er behind him. ”You bullied someone of mine, and now you dare come asking me for an explanation?”

Wei Yang’s words instantly made Ye Xian’er’s face flush red. She bit her lip and looked at him, her eyes filled with both embarrassment and a hint of inexplicable joy.

Hateful! This guy... w-when did I become his person...

Wei Yang caught a glimpse of Ye Xian’er’s shy and annoyed expression from the corner of his eye and immediately felt relieved.

It worked!

The reason he had patiently wasted time talking nonsense with these small fries was precisely to say that one sentence at the right moment.

Slowly winning her over, building a relationship? No!While Ye Xian’er was still young and naive, the best time to deceive her, he had to establish ownership first.

Seeing her reaction now, Wei Yang was reassured.

She didn’t object, which meant she tacitly accepted it?

Very good.

Claiming ownership—successful.

Once this mark was set, there was no escaping it.

With the ownership confirmed, everything else was just a matter of time. The prey was already in his mouth.

Now that his goal was achieved, Wei Yang lost interest in wasting words with this group of people. His gaze gradually turned dangerous.

”Xian’er, go back to the carriage first.”

As he spoke, Wei Yang moved his feet, his figure instantly leaping forward.

Swish! His entire body turned into a black shadow, swiftly flashing through the air, appearing before Mu Li in the blink of an eye.

Now that his tool had served its purpose, it could be discarded!

...

On the other side, Mu Li was enraged upon hearing Wei Yang’s words, but also filled with jealousy.

Such a beauty... already taken?Damn it!

”You really want to go against my Wolf Head Mercenary Group? State your name—ugh.”

Before Mu Li could finish his sentence, a black shadow suddenly flashed before his eyes. The next moment, a pair of iron-like hands clamped around his throat.

”What did you say? I didn’t quite hear you.” Wei Yang gripped Mu Li’s neck with one hand, lifting him entirely off the ground before slamming him down violently.

Boom!A muffled impact resounded, accompanied by a faint crack of bones breaking.

Mu Li’s eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.

Then, his consciousness faded into darkness.

Wei Yang released his grip and stood up.

Silence.

A deathly silence enveloped the scene.

The mercenaries all widened their eyes, staring at the lifeless body of their young master, his twisted neck forming a bizarre angle. Their hearts turned cold.

It was over.

The young captain was dead.

Everything was over.

They then turned to look at Wei Yang in horror—this seemingly fifteen or sixteen-year-old boy...

He was a demon!

The three mercenaries at the front felt utter despair.

They knew they were doomed.

If not at the hands of this devilish youth, then by their captain’s wrath.

”I remember telling you before... causing trouble for me comes at a high price.”

Wei Yang spoke softly, then grinned. A deep red Dou Qi flared from his palm as his figure blurred into motion, turning into a black streak that shot into the crowd.

Boom! Boom! Boom! The three mercenaries at the front had their chests caved in, their bodies flung away like broken sacks.

Then, the black shadow continued its slaughter.

”Ah—!”

Bang! With each scream, another life was extinguished.

”Ah—!”

”Spare me!”

”Run!”

”Run for your lives!”

Some were sent flying, some begged for mercy, and some ran in blind panic.

But without exception, they all ended up as corpses.

In less than a minute, the ground was littered with bodies, lying in disarray. Most had crushed chests, while a few had their skulls caved in.

Only Wei Yang remained standing.
