Beneath the Red Dragon

Karon nodded and smiled, ”How about this, we won’t trade. Let’s make an exchange; tell me about your ideals or wishes. Your precious gift deserves a precious return.”

Uro scratched his head and said quietly, ”My dream is to become a great opera creator, creating works like those authored by Red Copper Dragon Lord Alfred, such as ’Beauty and the Beast,’ ’Romeo and Juliet,’ ’Pride and Prejudice,’ etc.”

”Of course, this is just my dream. I dare not wish to become such a great creator!”

Karon’s mouth curled upwards, knowing that while Red Copper Dragon Alfred was skilled at storytelling, he was mostly known as a sort of porter.

”Having dreams is a good thing. I won’t offer any shortcuts, but I can provide you with an opportunity,”

Karon smiled, ”Within the Imperial National Opera House, some stagehands and assistants are still needed. It’s not an important position, but you can learn something. Your future development will depend on your talent and hard work.”

Uro was so excited he almost jumped up, stammering, ”How can this be, how can this be, thank you so much for your help, Your Majesty!”

This young fisherman wanted to refuse the Ancestral Red Dragon’s exchange, yet he couldn’t immediately make up his mind.

There’s no need to speculate too much about the minds of mortals; everyone is not simply one-dimensional but rather complex and multifaceted.

Karon waved his hand, smiled, and patted the brave young man’s shoulder, offering him a piece of advice.

”Remember your dreams today, boy. Whenever you feel like giving up on your dreams, think about this,”

”Every today you waste is a tomorrow longed for by those who died yesterday. The present you can’t bear is the past you can’t return to in the future.”

”We can never be younger than today. I hope that in the future, I’ll see your works performed in our opera house.”

The young Uro looked at the receding figure and shouted loudly, ”Your Majesty, I will strive to achieve it!”

The people around him looked enviously at the lucky and brave young man, after all, not everyone dares to confront a Giant Dragon, even though the dragons of the Golden Empire differ from other dragons.

Dark Nest Lord Shalos and King of Dark Elves Anudale watched the back of the Ancestral Red Dragon, deep in thought.

The Golden Empire’s Dragon Emperor has entirely different attitudes towards outsiders and insiders, ruling with benevolence Within the Imperial, while appearing utterly domineering to the outside world.

Even when faced with two Legendary Powerhouses, this Ancestral Red Dragon is intolerant of provocation.

Shalos echoed that scene earlier, recalling a frequently praised saying by mortals, ’In the heart of a fierce tiger, a delicate scent of roses.’

The brief battle between Ancestral Red Dragon and Anudale was not just intolerant of provocation but also a clarification of the dominance after forming an alliance.

While Anudale could not match the Ancestral Red Dragon in physique, the strength of this legendary King of Dark Elves was not so simple.

It seemed Anudale was severely injured by the Ancestral Red Dragon, but it was merely a compromise made by Anudale to achieve his own goals, like how the Ancestral Red Dragon mercilessly scooped out Anudale with his Dragon Claw.

Anudale, for his own purposes, was even willing to place his body in the claws of the Ancestral Red Dragon, just to appease the superficial anger of the Ancestral Red Dragon, with the underlying implication being a shift in dominance.

Shalos couldn’t help but shake his head.

Many people outside say that the Golden Empire’s Dragon Emperor is not a real Giant Dragon, but rather a dragon inhabited by some evil souls, not considered part of the dragons’ bloodline.

But perhaps for this Dragon Emperor, his actions do not need others’ recognition; this Red Dragon himself is a standard.

For Karon, he doesn’t think a dragon should be defined by others and become something like a beast to be called a Giant Dragon?

A dragon judged by others to be a True Dragon should be defined by his own standards.

Karon believes that a dragon like himself is worthy of being called a True Dragon.

Setting himself as the standard and becoming others’ standard, only those with such courage can ultimately attain the life force they should possess.

Not only within the dragon communities, the idea of the True Dragon began using Gogomola Dragon Group as a standard, but even some small countries Shalos knew on the Western Continent started using the Dragon Emperor of the Golden Empire as a standard.

Only when possessing strength, courage, and wisdom simultaneously, is one called a true monarch, and those monarchs from the small countries are also referred to as the True Dragon.

In an account read by Shalos about kingdom turmoil, the elder emperor who previously established great feats and expanded territories was likened to an Evil Dragon.

”In his twilight years, the emperor had completely transformed into an Evil Dragon hovering over the kingdom, guarding his greatest treasure—his reputation.”

”Anyone attempting to touch the treasure would be devoured by this former True Dragon, even if it were his most beloved.”

”The True Dragon transformed into an Evil Dragon, devouring the flesh and blood of his subjects, nurturing the old emperor’s eternal and indestructible ambition. When this Evil Dragon discovered his beloved child was about to become the new True Dragon, the monsters under the Evil Dragon immediately charged toward the once lofty kingdom heir.”
